Woah, i just had a thought, when Kathleen Lights went to Jaclyn's house to do a collab, a few years ago and Jaclyn was constantly snapchating videos and Kathleen said a really bad word and someone said; "Dont post that", but jaclyn did post it and Kathleen got alot of deserved backlash for it and Jaclyn said she didnt hear it. That was the extent of it from Jaclyn but i think maybe she did it on purpose because she was jealous of Kathleen and wanted to ruin her reputation. Jaclyn can not be trusted and clearly has some big mental health issues. She just needs to be cancelled and this cult of Jaclyn needs to wake up. Also, its not surprising that Morphe and Jaclyn where in business together because they both loved screwing peoole over in this community.
That’s right! Hurricane Jaclyn has left a wave of attempted destruction throughout the beauty community. What’s scary is that she’s able to do so without much blow back on herself for a while. That’s a mastery of manipulation. She knows exactly who she is and what she does.

I don't believe Jaclyn has EVER actually created anything. Companies let her choose from their products & slap her face/name to it. I said in another video that she uses “create” the same way Amber Heard uses “pledge”. Slapping your name and face on someone else’s IP is the exact opposite of “create”. I just picture her in that pan coat after the lipstick debacle. Does she think she’s a scientist, too?
I said on a previous video I didn't think Jaclyn was intentionally malicious, I thought she was just stupid. I take that back. I think she's a shady, awful person out to get whatever she can from people.
Completely agree. I could've given her the slightest benefit of the doubt with the makeup geek situation. That she was at best, just really dumb and lacked courtesy. But the Gerard situation? You have to be extremely delulu to think you're owed anything and to weaponize a relative piece of drama just to get your way. Malicious is the only way to describe such behavior.
Almost every company Jaclyn worked with has either gone bankrupt or is in bankruptcy. She escaped all accountability and is a multi millionaire. Ugh.

Jaclyn posting the unflattering video of KathleenLights makes even more sense now hearing how jealous she was. Plus, in regards to Manny, it’s also gross behavior to post an unflattering Snapchat when your friend asks you not to. That’s also fishy.

I still see so many I used to be friends with not only being gossip bullies but they literally seek out gossip and meaness. I had to step away from a lot of friendships. It is nice to be away from it and to see it for how bad it can be and become.

I watched Peter Monn's recent videos reacting to Jaclyn Hill and Jen Gerard. He made an excellent point about Jaclyn. She made her "I'm closing my brands" video 3 weeks ago. In the video, she talked about how she misses making makeup content and how she feels like a salesperson. Her next video was an "Amazon Favorites" video. And still no makeup content. If she missed it so much, then why isnt she making the videos again?
Because the laws changed and now they have to disclose what they actually brought, what is sponsored and what they got in “pr”
She can’t do a makeup look without sponsors and lying about an amazing product she has been paid to promote now

I just watched The Sesh yesterday. I love how they made the correlation between Jaclyn and all the companies that she had been a part of and had collabs with and all of them have either gone out of business or filed bankruptcy 😳 I know you have too but glad they did as well❤

I USED to love her. I worked in upper management for Bath and Body Works, LUSH and Ulta in Florida through the early and teen 00’s. I tried probably 10 different times to get her to do a meet and greet at multiple different locations. She never responded to a single email. She didn’t have to, but she made it sound like she was hustling 24/7. It just rubbed me the wrong way allllllll those times, not a single response. All she had to do was show up and shake hands. I would have jumped on an opportunity like that in a heartbeat.

As someone who has met Jen Gerard, I can truly say that she is a gem in this community. She has had quite a few blows, but she'll turn the other cheek and still offer support.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it looks like Alice Cooper wasn’t saying that transgender people are going to go into bathrooms and commit crimes. He said that cis men could take advantage of the situation, and is asking how do we prevent that danger while simultaneously respecting that some people are trans.

While he didn’t say “transgender people are committing crimes in bathrooms” he very clearly implied it. Context is important. That specific argument has been used countless of times to vilify trans people. It’s been used successfully for anti trans legislation. His earlier statement in the interview puts into question the validity of trans people. He then goes on to say “A guy can walk into a woman’s bathroom at any time and just say, “I just feel like I’m a bit of a woman today” and have the time of his life in there”
I suggest looking more into this if you’re confused as to why it’s anti trans.
I think the rest of his statements provide all the context you need regarding his stance on the matter.
He was literally being so respectful, I was about to buy vampire cosmetics but I can't support an ableist company. He was clearly being respectful and only pointing out issues within the topic. We should be able to have a conversation about it.

She destroyed Gerard Cosmetics and she destroyed Koze.
Jaclyn tried to gaslight Jen into making an apology video so that Jaclyn could drop a statement asap distancing herself from Gerard Cosmetics on the Karina Kaboom dramas coattails( not because of the drama but for selfish reasons 💰). Since Jen didn’t take the bait and Jaclyn didn’t get her easy way out that time she decided to demand the $250k. Since Jen flat out said no to Jaclyn, she went full Regina George and made the Snapchat video parting ways with Jen and destroying her brand at the same time.🎯
I just finished watch The Sesh and I feel the Gaby situation is worse than the Koze situation. Yes, Gaby didn’t have to close her business, but Jaclyn (and others) went on and on about the whole copyright situation with Koze, yet Gaby DID have a trademark and it still didn’t make a difference! Yes, that was on Morphe, but Jaclyn could have done something!
Jaclyn’s relationship with Linda & Morphe seems to be the catalyst to her vampire behavior. It’s like Linda painted a picture of riches she could not resist & from that point on, any woman or company she was dealing with was done dirty. The failed launches, trademark ™️ issues & failure to address said issues appropriately all happened under Morphe’s watch so did she learn these practices from them? She claims not to be a sell out but her actions indicate otherwise.

The damage that was done to Gerard cosmetics was IMHO so big that even me, who started paying attention to beauty youtube in yearly 2016, I kinda became aware that Gerard Cosmetics was shady. I didn't even know how I became aware of it, it was just kinda in the air. And then two things happen - Emily D Baker started frequently mentioning their lip glosses in her videos AND I saw Jen's comment and that comment was so kind, sincere and sweet that it made me stop and think that if a brand owner can be so kind then their brand cannot be shady.
Unbelievable!! I've had a somewhat negative opinion on JH for a long time, but this makes it overflowing! She's clawed her way to the top and didn't care who she hurt or destroyed in the meantime. How does this woman still have a platform????? I'm utterly speechless!
Jacklyn hill is the exact reason why I refused to watch all of beauty UA-cam until a couple of years ago. I thought everyone were snakes just like her.

I also tuned out as everything I watched was just bitchy ugliness. I dipped in and out of creators keeping in their own lane, and doing the work to get views and subs and not being controversial to get the numbers

I think she’s done. I think she has paid for subs and buys positive comments. Unless the world is just a much shittier place than I think it is. I clicked on her “My Favorites” video, and it was literally ALL glowing, positive comments. There’s no way that she has that many devoted followers still. I refuse to believe that every horrible human in the world is a Jac Stan. There are companies you can pay for that sort of thing. It’s the only thing I can come terms with.

Jaclyn would only communicate on text because she wanted it all in writing. Then she could clip out what was texted and use it against Jenn. That my friends is sick.
Not that he does not have his own issues but Jeffree Star called all these people out years ago but Jeffree had credibility issues. Jen Gerard is a respected businesswoman and has held this in most likely because Jaclyn tried used her power in the marketplace and legal team to silence her. Well that tactic only lasts so long and the truth will come out eventually. I applaud Jen for sharing her story and hope it gives her some peace to move forward.

Thinking about it, companies like Gerard Cosmetics have a lot to answer for. They try to make bank off the name of a famous youtuber/influencer by selling, say, a selection of cosmetics as the influencer's creation...when they aren't created by the influencer at all. Picked colors? Even a monkey can do that. But it's all hyped up as the influencer going through months and months of toil (it took 45 minutes, including signing the contract). Everyone involved wants customers to think the influencer devoted themselves to the product from start to finish. Nope. Smoke and mirrors. Lies and deception. The company rakes in money from dumb fans, and the influencer's ego and clout gets even larger. But when you come across a mercenary influencer like Jaclyn Hill, the scheme bites you in the ass. It goes from being a wink and a handshake to a shakedown. "I touched it, it's mine now. If you want it back, give me all the money. Also, this is no guarantee I won't ask for money again. Girlboss."

Ive actually never bought from Gerard Cosmetics because i always heard that Jen was a mean girl and a bully to other women in the community. Now i feel bad. I never said anything about them, but i just feel bad for writing them off because of a situation i really didnt know anything about.
You know, this makes me so mad that I never bought anything associated with the big beauty UA-camrs because I don’t trust them but I was still influenced away from Gerard. This shows the power of influence! I think I will check them out.

Jaclyn and her family started a church and are all founders of it so that they don't have to pay taxes on all the money they make. You can search and find many videos about it. I personally don't know anything about it, I've just seen videos talking about it.

I think Manny should speak up about this. Why did he do it? I personally don’t believe he didn’t do it intentionally or even less as a mistake. Also, I think JH wanted written messages to take them out of the context and use it against Jen.
Unless Jen asks him to, I don’t see a point for him to. People have already made up their minds about him (see other comments for this video!), and those folks aren’t going to change their mind because he says something like 1) he didn’t think of Snapchat as being “online” because it goes away after 24hrs (this was a common concept about Snapchat that was even promoted by the brand at one point, because the internet is forever but Snapchat isn’t, 2) he didn’t really even think about what he was doing because he was so chronically online, or even 3) he thought she meant something ELSE she said that none of us know about because he didn’t put THAT online. None of those will change the minds of anti-Manny folks, and his supporters don’t need a video about it. So unless Jen asks him to, in order to clear things up, what does Manny benefit? More hate comments, possibly having a few supporters drop their support, and…?
I’m very glad Jen Gerard spoke up. I had no idea that this is the actual truth until all this starting coming out recently. I’ve never supported JH but I certainly didn’t know it went this deep!!!

I haven't been a fan of Morphe for a long time, but after listening to Gaby's story, I will absolutely never buy from that company again.
I don’t know what more the Jaclyn stans need to hear or see to understand that she is not a good person. Everyone she has worked with has been burnt and with the exception of Gerard Cosmetics, every company she has collaborated with has gone bankrupt or closed down (Becca, Morphe and MakeUp Geek) - Jaclyn is a bad omen.

I knew I liked Jen Gerard from always seeing how kind she is in Emily’s chats. My respect for her has only grown. I love her lipglosses! I’m branching out and trying everything that lovely lady has! She is just so real and kind!

I am old enough to remember the 70s. Being androgynous or gender bending was a thing. The Gap started as a store selling non-gendered clothing. Ok, it was men’s cut jeans and t-shirts really but we ladies wore them. Lots of famous people claimed to be bisexual and the men wore makeup and feather boas. I think it’s interesting because we are repeating history with the kids of the’70s generation. The thing is Post-‘70’s is when the aggressive blue and pink toys came out. So, watch for society to swing the other way!
It's so interesting to me how many people of an older generation, who were around in the heyday hair metal & David Bowie & Prince & all of those androgynous aesthetics, still believe that gender nonconformity is a "new" thing. The important distinction right now, I think, is that there is more language now for people who feel that expression is more integral to their identity... Like the difference between a woman wearing a tux as a fashion statement, VS a nonbinary person or trans man wearing a tux to express themselves. They're both awesome. But I think people saw the stuff in the 70s/80s as pure fashion or shock value, so there's a lack of understanding of gender variance on a fundamental level. Am I rambling or does any of that make sense?? Lol

Because women in the 70’s were wearing gender neutral close to express themselves just as non-gender conforming individuals are today. Diane Keaton in the 70’s someone who comes to mind. It’s not different. It’s the same thing. It’s a rebranding of the concept.

All I meant to convey is that many older generations seem to find this resurgence of gender expression as different - not that it is. And I was trying to "devil's advocate" why it might seem different. Both to them & also on the basis that it isn't solely fashion for some of us. I had just started wearing makeup and following Kathleen Lights and Jaclyn Hill when this all happened. I refused to buy Gerard Cosmetics after this. But I also stopped following Jaclyn when all she was pushing was Morphe.
My biggest question is her family.. where do they stand on all of this? Are they just default on her side because they’re family? Even tho the facts prove she’s a liar? And there’s no way her family didn’t know she was lying about all of this… right? It’s just fascinating to me.

Well I always felt the all Astral Radiance thing looked like a huge scam, the weird instagram page with weird posts and badly written descriptions, the announcing a collab and then taking everything off the website and putting it back again... idk it was all fishy, it looked like those scam messages that we receive in Instagram
He has a point. There are Transgender people, but are fewer and far between. This is why we are seeing so many people speaking out against Transgender redirect for children, who are detransitioning. We as a society are not above medically harming people in the craze of new medicine, like lobotomy. It was all the craze and instead of helping the patient, they just silenced them. Instead of helping children mental health, we destroyed their reproductive rights. He has a point.

R.E.M. Beauty has come out this year at Sephora in Poland and I imagine in other European countries. We don't have Ulta or Morphe so it couldn't get worldwide before😉

I paused and read the 2nd half of what Alice cooper said. He said these kind of decisions shouldn’t be made at least until they become sexually aware. By what he said, he doesn’t believe gender is a spectrum. He believes you’re a male or female according to what body parts your born with and then as the person matures the grow older they decide if they decide if they want to change genders.
At least as best as o could understand by what he said. The report didn’t press him she just flat out stated that maybe the parents were listening to their children. And then he changed the subject.
There have been like 3 kids in my county that have been molested by men dressed as women in the bathroom her in my county. One was under age young “man” but bc there were just 3 in a country of 300 million it’s considered anecdotal and wouldn’t be considered proof that it happens. That why it’s said it hasn’t been proven. It does happen tho. But there are a huge amount of men that have been caught waiting in public bathrooms to take advantage of children too.
Moms. Always walk your child to the bathroom even if you can see the bathroom door from where you are. And always check the stall before you let them in.
I agree with you about the bathroom situation, it is happening and there is proof, there are so many cases already but i dont know what other proof they need , maybe a higher number of cases to concider it as proof.. people is always going to take advantage..what he said on the interview was respectful and reasonable specifically with the topic about kids ..kids should not be making life altering decisions..
I came into the beauty community just as Jaclyn released that larger Becca collection, I never saw the snap chats or even knew it started with Jaclyn but I heard Gerard cosmetics was shady and I have never purchased anything from them because of that. I feel bad that i felt that way and it was based on lies 😔
