I recall that Quake engine and Unreal had their own Machinima scenes in the early 00s. Probably the one and only series still going to this day from that time is Red vs blue on the Halo engine(s) since 2003 (fact checked the date). While the early works were largely pretty crude and the source engine brought about the golden age for Machinima with things like Gmod, machinima themselves have been around for much longer than tf2.
That pro rocket jumper guy is exactly me. It took me nearly one month to finish half of jump Academy. I will say I am good and rocket jumping but I absolutely suck at fighting.
@@jaburu4230 I have a little trick for you; if you know how to Bunny hope you can go at super speed. Bunny hopping is really easy. Maintaining Momentum is the hard part. But if you practice long enough, you will get the hang of it.
The ramp up in difficulty in "easy"/"beginner" maps and servers is insane. I feel it way too much. Even had 2k hour rocket jumpers telling me "what do mean it's hard? This is easy stuff". For some reason every maps version of easy/beginner means different things.

You can see Syncs on maps like 4starters course 1, Quba/Baqu course 1 and hell, even jump_beef decided the sync should be in course 2 not course 3.

jumping actually improved my aiming skills. When i decided to go back no normal tf2, i was getting loads of kills with the direct hit(which i was pretty shitty before)
