When this album came out i was not old enough mentally to hear it it took 30 years to finally get to a place where i could understand hari chresna George
Related note : so weird in Peter Jackson’s Get Back when he used a snippet of George from 1994 singing this while sitting with Paul and Ringo, its from the Anthology documentary when they’re talking about writing songs in India. Same clip. It’s played up as being a vintage clip in Get Back.
I love when these demos that were never properly produced by artists get the love they need thanks to fans! I would love to see you do similar magic to some of John’s demos like You Saved My Soul, Sally and Billy, One of the Boys, Friend of Dorothy’s, Etc etc
You are indeed the Walrus, excellent work my Beatles friend, you wouldn't be able to have a crack at their 1967 song Carnival of Light, adding some spacey slide guitar perhaps. Its screaming out for a revisit /remix ;-D
Love these so much. Your Mother Devine video gets consistent play here in my house, adding this to the list as well. Would love to know more about your thought process and arranging work!
I first try to find the demo's tempo and chord structure. I then cut up the demo WAV according to choruses and verses. Then I basically strum the acoustic thru that structure, but just with George's vocal and the metronome. Then I add either real or program drums, with appropriate drum fills or what have you. Then I add everything else: more acoustics, electrics, keyboards, bass, percussion, vocals. I try to build the tune up, then have a break, then an ending of some sort. I must have had the basic Beatles/harrison song structure burned in my brain, because I really don't find it hard to do. Plus I've recorded tons of my own stuff, so I have lots of experience with putting together a tune. Probably the funnest part is singing harmonies with George's vocal. And trying to do lead guitar, especially slide. It feels spooky when I listen back to it sometimes. I hope the Harrison's don't mind these...I'm not looking to profit from them. Thanks for the interest!
Another job well done, Walrusz. Did you know your version of Harrison's Fear of Flying was one of my most played tracks this year (I downloaded it onto itunes -- I hope you don't mind). I hope you continue this worthy cause. I recommended one for you earlier this year, and it seemed like a good choice, but for the life of me I can no longer recall what it was. Should you continue forward, any thoughts as to what's next?
You did great on this one, makes it sound more like a song on ATMP(and this song was an outtake from that album). I think you told me you were gonna do going down to golders green next, right?
Great idea! Another suggestion if you haven't already considered it, Sour Milk Sea from the White album 50th anniversary package (there's an outfake out there from years ago using the Jackie Lomax backing track, but it has terrible sound quality).
Thanks for your kind words. I use an old Adobe Audition program, a FirePod 8 channel interface, a Focusrite preamp, a line 6 guitar pod, a Yamaha p-200 keyboard, various electric guitars and acoustics and a few other things.
@@walrusz I used old Nero 6 wave editor to make something cohesive out of that old "When Every Song Is Sung" demo. It made more sense as a complete song, though of course could do nothing about sound quality....
Walrusz.. your tracks are amazing!... ever thought about approaching the Harrison estate to do something formal with them? The tracks really are that good!
I had a friend hand deliver a letter to Friar Park a few years ago...just asking what Olivia and Dhani thought of my work, and inform them that I've never tried to profit from the re-worked tunes...but never got a reply. I would hope Dhani might have clicked on one of my versions somewhere along the way...still would be thrilled to know if he gave them a listen!
@@walrusz shame, seems such a natural fit, and there's good imagination in the arrangements .. not just a copy of Jeff Lynne's approach (which I admire too). Imagine if you had access to the original source material. Can't really imagine more finished viable versions than what you've produced. Their / our loss I suppose. Much respect
@@walrusz I think Dear John or India, India would be neat. The audio quality isn't as good as George's demos, though. ua-cam.com/video/FWnR_xOCqJE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/4JLQvEsHXJo/v-deo.html

Thats why they chose more Lennon-McCartney songs…this is nothing of that kind. This is a NORMAL. Not the work of a genius like Let it Be, Lady Madonna or Two of us.
Well...this is George 🙏 . Thid is one of those inner Masterpieces He wrote and used to play. All is in our within.
Love ♥️ ♥️ ♥️
That's Amazing 🤟
Único, sublime, nadie como el puede expresar tanto en una canción ,su Voz es maravillosa y cálida y me llena de paz mi Alma❤George forever❤❤
Finally after all the versions out there, this is the Best sounding complete song by George.

Dehra Dun is a village half way from Delhi to Rishekesh...Thank you George, Hare Krsna.
Oh, how I miss him!
This sounds like something that would be on All Things Must Pass or Living in the Material World.

When did George record this song?
Sometime in 1970
He looks like Rasputin in the thumbnail wth
