Footage looking backwards from the Caddx Peanut camera. Despite it's tiny size it does seem to slow the Zcon down a bit... but it still shifts! Not the best angle on the camera, I should have aimed it a bit higher but oh well, still enjoyable! I also didn't get as low in the small river this time, probably a bit nervous since the last flight I hit on that run at 100mph! Amazingly it stayed in the air and limped home with a lot of the prop missing and half a Dragonlink antenna!

Pretty violent that fast and that close to the ground! Makes you appreciate the forces on these planes.
Yeah it’s not as tame as the smoothed out HD action cams make it look 😅 wasn’t calm air on this day and flying that low through this route can be quite risky. I actually didn’t fly as low as normal here, and I think that’s because I plowed through a tree at 100mph last time. Was lucky it limped home. Cheers

Thanks 😃 and yes I do have the ESC brake on. I use the brake on all my models, gliding is more efficient and landing is way less likely to damage the prop.

Hi Adam first off enjoy all your videos so much so thankyou for your efforts, I’m wondering if you could possibly help a new pilot out , I just got my crossfire bits (v2 starter kit ) I was wanting to put the antenna on the wing , (I hope I got this right ) sma exstention cable from ? I’d like it out on the wing going to my nano rx. Many thanks , sorry for the noob questions 😊
Hi Jay, the better way to mount it on the wing is to just put the Rx out on the wing with the antenna, this is what I do. They're small and easy to bury and then just laminate/tape over it. Extending antennas isn't the best solution.

Epic sound track to accompany an awesome flight run.
The initial launch, reminded me of a 007 movie prequel opening chase. Was anticipating a villain to pop in behind doing close wing chase at any second.
BTW: can't help but notice the spoiler pop up (right at 0:07) in front of the motor. That has to be a major drag on speed, not to mention being a major turbulence generator for air flowing toward the propeller. Perhaps this the dark villain?

Yes that little bit of correx is not ideal, and it was only because of this rear view cam that I realised how bad it is at speed… so that will be fixed before the next flight. The peanut sticking up on the front also knocks noticeable speed off the flight, but it was fun to get a different view… and it wasn’t exactly slow 😅 cheers

Do you do the video stabilization in editing? What editing software do you use?
No this stabilisation is all done by the camera: Caddx Peanut. However, with this camera unlike others you can use the Insta360 studio to turn stabilisation on or off AFTER you’ve recorded the flight. You can also choose the stab mode.
For editing my videos I use Final Cut Pro

😂😂 it’s not pretty if you hit something at this speed 😅😅😅 Mavic is more relaxed flying anyway
If you want to truly go fast you have to build smaller .. the drag of the big wings like this one is just too much to go truly fast .. try something like the hobby king funjet and make it 6 or 8S and you'll do 200-300mph
I have a mixture of planes, including a 200mph + Funjet, but I just love the all round performance of the Zcon. Can fly for a long time and far while also travelling at a good pace. Thanks for watching and commenting 😃🙌🏻
