Good video on ZT mower blade removal; Just found me a back up excuse to to get a pair of those plastic car ramps now that I just purchased a ZT mower myself 👍
Just a suggestion, It's a good idea to get a blade balancer, and check the balance of the blade after you sharpen it. An offset weight can wear out the spindles quicker.
Excellent video! I was using a farm jack and then jack stands to elevate the deck. Your idea is much easier! Just bought the ramps. Quick question on the sharpening process. Let's say the nicks or chips in the blade are only on 1/3 of the blade. Would I grind down the other 2/3's to match where I had to initially grind down to eliminate the nicks and chips where they were?
@@addismultitasking3504 I see. So ramps are easier to store. I will look into them as I have not yet purchased something to lift my mower for underneath access. Thank you
A simple and common sense explanation. Well done.

Excellent. Thanks for the brief explanation how to do this at home. Seems fairly straightforward. I'll give it a try.

car ramps is what I use, work great,
Yes sir!
Heck yeah. Nice Video.
Thanks for watching
Do you think that the ramps are a safer/better way to work on your mower than mower lifts?
I prefer ramps over anything hydraulic, and rather not have something else to store

Thanks for the video !!
your welcome
Would be nice if picture while under mower to actually
See you remove the blades!
Did you say, remove the deck ?
Thanks Dude! Great tips!
No problem!
Interesting that I don’t have to sharpen to much because it chips easier. Thanks
Good video. I'm considering this machine - I want to be able to easily remove deck for cleaning, have you ever removed? Is it easy enough?
I would not remove the deck it is a pain
Thanks
Welcome
Do you have to insert the blades in any order or facing in any particular direction?
nope
My son had no problem putting it together
Boy your wife not going to like you using her blanket lol, good job on the blade sharpening though
LOL, she's pulling weeds right now and asked if I'd seen her moving blanket
ummm why not just use an impact they have battery ones that work great. You are working to hard.
As long as you stop at the proper torque. My exmark blade bolt is to be 55 to 60.
I go up the ramp this way, none of my impacts fit properly. Besides, nothing like accomplishing a task with hand tools 👍
Thanks
No problem
