I have a $15 option for a stub stack since they're spendy as hell. That plastic adapter you have came in a kit with a shorter spacer and three "mini stack" adapters. Take the biggest one sand it to fit inside your base, once done, just tape it in place. boom.
What is the purpose of dropped base? To be able to close the FkN hood. I cannot close the hood with a 1/2 inch spacer between carb and airgap intake. I have to run without carb spacer and drop base to be able to close hood. I am not going to cut a hole in the hard to get hood to ruin its value. Money talks, shit walks.
Only purpose of a drop base is for low clearance and they tend to suck at performance. If you wanna play you gotta pay. If you want more hood clearance get an aftermarket hood. Air gaps are just as tall as there non air gap counterparts. Only car i ever had issues with hood clearance was a 89 firebird with an rpm style air gap 1/2 and i used a plenum hat for hood clearance to not cut a giant hole in the hood. Where there is a will there is a way. Velocity stacks have always been about better straight shoot airflow over the giant bump that closes the gap between base and lid. Money talks and bs walks. Races have found ways around hood clearance for years either their brain or their pocket book.
More air, more power 👌
And more power is always good
I like the look combined with the spacer.
I do as well, ran one like that for years with a tall cowl made it easy to seal up to the cowl
I never knew those existed. Make sense..Great video. Oh yeah, Bryan did a good job with packing..LOL
I was honestly heart broken when i couldnt find them for years lol. Better then most boxes i have seen shipped lol
Awesome, another great tip video 👊🏼👍🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks bud!

I was just wondering about hood clearance. I’m sure it depends on car.
Yep 100%. Like most cars depends on the car, intake height, stock or aftermarket hood or modified hood etc.
That Type O hoodie though
yes! Thank you!
nice piece!
It is! Thanks for stopping by
Looks good
Thanks!
Hi if you had to use a one inch shorter filter to make this base work would it still be worth it. Thanks
I would think it would.
Will this work well with sniper efi ?
yes

Was your old base an Edelbrock one?
No it was a raised base i bought from summit. Edelbrock ones are mostly drop bases
