Sweet set up , I`m doing similar with a "Ram Air Box " on a 400 sbc . Yes air filter setup takes time to master ,, max drop but not to the point it stops air flow . I`m running a 1 3/8 drop with either a 3/4 or 1 inch domed top 3 inch filter carb vac sec with choke . Very much a game of chess to see what works . The Ram A Box is in the mail as I speak . Very low hood line

I use fresh balls of plumbers putty in sandwich bags to check hood clearance. Sometimes you have more than you think. Have fun
