- Опубліковано 18 чер 2024
- A shock 1st round KO at the Haringey Box Cup 2024 in the 71kg Male Snr Group C. Amat Jobe from Top Yard (Amir Khan Academy) dispatches Tyrese Yaseen Ramsey AKA the Chessboxer from Islington Boxing Club in the opening 30s of Round 1.
Alhamdulillah always. Grateful to Allah, His plan is better than mine! May Allah bless Amat.
☝🏽
Alhamdulillah indeed. Wishing you nothing but the best, May Allah bless you too bro.
Insha allah you will win your next fights amd learn from this
You’ll be back stronger and better brother, glad to see you’re in good spirits. Its part of the sport, can’t wait to see you bounce back !
🙌🏼🤲🏼
we all take losses, yaseeen will be back harder
No doubt!
He’ll be back, 2x Elite London champ for a reason. Can’t go swimming and not get wet
Absolutely - We love a comeback!
Well said
@BoxingTunes, that's what people think soon as you lose that you're finished if your determined, you will bounce back no matter what
All the greats have lost! All this craziness is only a recent thing and filtered into amateur boxing too. At the elite level you’re boxing other elites, a loss is always a possibility that’s why it makes the sport as interesting as it is.
@@BoxingTunes exactly 💯 arm chair 💺 💪 boxers don't understand mate too quick to judge when they ain't the ones in there an like you said it's elite v elites no going pro and fighting a bum it's very competitive in the ametuers
Respect young man for posting this and being vulnerable. showing life is about getting back up and learning.
It’s exactly that but I think you may have this mixed up with Yaseen’s page. He uploaded a good video about the defeat. I encourage you to watch that on his page
This channel and concept and what it does for the UK amateur scene is fucking brilliant.
Thank you my friend I really appreciate your kind words, it’s means a lot 🙏🏾💙👊🏾
Respect for showing this and breaking it down. Boxing is a tough sport. Salute.
I appreciate you 🙏🏾💙👊🏾
Damn boxing is a crazy sport, yaseen will bounce back stronger no doubt💪🏽
Definitely
Bro I just wanna say your channel is really good ,imma watch videos from it everyday from now on to fully help me prep for my amateur debut in September, keep it up man ,this is honestly a treasure,in a few years I'll be on there 🙌🏿💫
Love my brother thank you for the support - there’s plenty to get stuck into and i hope it helps you on your journey 🙏🏾👊🏾💙
All about learning from the losses, Yaseen will be back stronger and credit to Amat!
Yes this is it! Amateur boxing fiercely competitive at all levels unlike the pro circuit.
Damn that really made me sad. Can only learn from this experience.
It’s part and parcel of boxing. Yaseen uploaded a good video on the loss, and how to overcome losses - make sure to check it out.
We all have set backs it’s just if you are willing to get back at it 👊 chessboxer will be back and thank you for the upload 🙌
Absolutely well said! Every adversity presents an opportunity for growth 👊🏾
Looked very similar to the way Groves knocked down Froch in the first fight. Caught square on walking on to the shot. Great sport amateur boxing and I wish both boys the best of luck moving forward.
Great shout! Yeah he was committed to the backhand forward momentum. When you get hit flush by someone that crack there’s not much that can be done. That was a very exciting group!
Bro the 3-2 is a tough one
Amat landed it superbly!

this is my favorite way to place it
I watched Yaseen’s breakdown on his youtube and it’s a good video. Explaining the mindset to overcome a huge loss but i’m surprised it says nothing about the lead hand dropping as it did and chin up in the air.
Next up will be the next 71kgs - longer video but one to look out for 👌🏾👊🏾
Love to see it Amat💪🏿 Respect to the Yaseen for stepping into the ring too
Amat did tremendously well also stopping Antonio who won it last year and giving a good account of himself in the final.
Shittttt, that was slick
Clean connection!
Kinda shocked from this, Ramsey is a good guy and seeing him go like this made me feel a way. Wish him to come back stronger for sure
It’s boxing, everyone knows the risks but he is not hurt which is the main thing. Ramsey is a solid brother and so too is Amat. Wish them both the best in the future
Boxing is all or nothing
Big respect to both men 🏆
Black vest and shorts clinical finish ⚒️
Well said - This is why we love boxing and respect all boxers that get in the ring. 💙👊🏾
right jab and keeping left hand up is pure boxing fundamentals
Yeah these are costly mistakes at elite level -chin completely exposed after that jab and not tucked behind shoulder after the backhand. Over committed in that offensive posture
This lad is from our city i heard he done well
Underestimate him at your peril! Just uploaded his semi final bout and his final will be next! Big puncher and a great kid!
Silver I think. Good weekend for both our club and Top yard
@@paulgoode5245 Only caught some photos from his last round in the final I'm afraid. There were 4 groups in Male Sir 71kg too much for me to be able to capture lol
@@BoxingTunes I will find out which 71kg final and Alfie's opponent
Imo Yaseen doesn’t really look 100% himself in there, look back at his previous fights
That’s besides the point - Amat couldn’t make weight and fought at 71 instead of 67kg a Yaseen could have fought at 75. Making weight is part of boxing. Amat was 100% either because he wasn’t fit and too heavy.
Very well said 👍🏽
Nice one Ali 💙👊🏾
Smashed it Aj got that checkmate♟️
Big win! Amat’s other fights will go up too so keep your eyes peeled
That’s boxing for you unfortunately
Yes but let’s be real, it’s also the reason we love it.
@@BoxingTunes yep
Watched a few of ramseys fights on youtube
I must say your a terrific talent
Anyone getting in that ring takes chances
No matter what standard
You will bounce back definitely
Keep going and move on to the next one
Well said my friend
@BoxingTunes thanks very much I'm a former haringey box cup gold medallist myself
So from experience I know what it takes just to even step in the ring
And no loss should stop anyone's potential from full filling expecially the potential these lads have
Take a loss
Then grab the wins 😉
This is really a post Mayweather phenomena that’s now worked its way into amateur boxing sadly. One day you’re posting a highlight and the next you could be someone else’s highlight. Everyone understands the risks and it’s what makes it interesting. A loss doesn’t define anyone.
They both definitely look borderline novices! They seemed like they wanted to scrap rather than box. They both had very little fundamentals and lacked good technique!
Yaseen in red is actually a 2 london snr male elite champion and national semi finalist. Amat is the puncher and Yaseen played into his strengths!
Chins gone noo
Never been known to have a good chin in all honesty and has adapted his style brilliantly to suit, but everyone eventually gets caught.
We go again champ
👊🏾👊🏾
Looks like he got up to early it’s not about what happens to you in life champ 👑 but how you react ❤️💛💚🦁
The fight was over regardless but I fully agree with the second statement 👌🏾
That was clean
The force of the right hook extenuated by the left bringing him towards the second punch! The opposite of riding a shot - head on collision!
Brother has a glass jaw, you can’t improve on much if you can’t take a 2-3 in the first round. All he can do fight boxers and not punchers, punchers will hit too hard for him and he cannot take a crack.
He has been hurt and wobbled by punchers before so being a bit chinny is a fair assessment. I think he’s done tremendously well to adapt a style that keeps him from getting hit which he executes extremely well but will be susceptible when he gets caught by a puncher.
@@BoxingTunes yeah I agree, he needs to be well match made to be successful. Boxing isn’t for everyone especially if you’re chinny and can’t crack you will get found out eventually.
Kolo Omo almost stopped him in London Final 2 years ago. Didn’t land as clean. I think there may have been two counts
chin down hands up best defense is keeping your chin tucked like canelo and ggg
Yeah I was really surprised the lead hand came down to the waist and that’s where the problem started as the left hook landed on the chin and then brought him onto the right hook. Like you mentioned, if his chin was tucked in behind the shoulder throwing the backhand he wouldn’t have got caught flush! Paid the price for those mistakes!
Any 75kg action you plan to upload ?
Yes I managed to catch a lot of Marc “Haff” Haughan and will upload his at some point.
He will be back better it’s an unlucky loss
“Luck favours the prepared”
Ramsey was my guy man. Chin up champ
win some lose some - mistakes get punishes at this level
@@BoxingTunes he’s still
Talented nonetheless
Of course! I’ve never said anything to suggest otherwise. That only his second loss in almost 30 bouts and he’s twice London champ. He admitted himself that he wasn’t focused coming into this bout and at elite level you will get punished at every opportunity. Amat was boxing the Manchester box cup final just 2 weeks prior. It’s not the pro ranks boxing hand picked opponents.
@@BoxingTunes definitely my guy. Keep up the good work 🤲🏼
That you my G 🤲🏾 Next video dropping anytime now…
Allahs the best of planners, Yaseen is still the peoples champ.
A loss doesn’t define anyone in and by itself, it’s how we overcome adversities that does.
Dammmm
Happens so quickly!
Damnn
Needs to tuck his chin in and don’t look over his punches when he throws
Yes, the chin exposed after the jab and backhand. Had the jab cocked back to the chin, the left hook may not have brought him on to the right hook as it did.
Great video but your commentary is not needed, lost fair and square, nothing to do with weight and fair tale what if’s. He over reached and got punished simple.
Nail on the head! Neither hand or shoulder protected the chin and Amat nailed him. It’s not even that deep. Thank you for your comment 🙏🏾💙👊🏾
Shit happens mate minor go back to drawing board
Good lessons to take away from this one. It’s better for this to have happen now rather than in pros with 8oz gloves. Valuable lessons to take away
Yaseen will be back, Allah is the best of planners. The brother works hard and he will be back easily inshallah 👊🏿, whoever is hating is just envious of something they'll never be able to do. Try having a fight before hating
What are you on about, where is the hate?!
I am referring to hate in general. I haven't specified anything here but in general he receives a lot of hate, your content is great.
@@AGBOXING Thank you for clarifying. You're always going to get some jealous people that hate on others but my overall impression is that Yaseen has a very strong support base and all you have to do is go through the comments to see that. Of course that's not to say objective criticism is hate, because some of comments are more blunt observations, and some of Yaseens fans are overlooking the fact that he isn't the best boxer out there nor has he every claimed to be. 2 losses in almost 30 fights is an incredibly great record and he's fought and beaten top caliber opposition. Antonio Brien who lost to Amat in the Semi final to Amat had previously boxed Yaseen in the nationals and lost on a split decision. Point being that Amat is a top, top boxer.
@@BoxingTunes 100% bro, your videos are great and have taught me a lot more about the amateur scene and all these various tournaments. You even have me searching on boxrec 🤣🤣 but apologies writing that on here may have sent the wrong message but ive seen some stuff on other platforms so incase the brother Yaseen was watching and reading i wanted to post. Keep up all the great work brother 🙏🏿
@@AGBOXING Thank you champ - I had someone in the comment being very disrespectful so I thought it was directed at me. I get it though, you need the mindless supporters as well that will go and buy your merch and defend you at the cost of making a fool of themselves. lol There's going to be a lot more in store, than you for the support 💙✊
This caption is disrespectful mate, please edit it
What’s disrespectful about it?
Get a grip it really isn't it just states what happens
People getting offended by a literal statement of facts 🤷🏻♂️
@@BoxingTunes Yes but it is clear to say that the views you value more than your relationship with your clients as you’ve done promotions and mini docs with Ramsey before
@@BoxingTunes and instead of praising the boxer with the KO you highlight the boxer that got KO for obvious reasons. ill will mate
You get caught because you didn’t see the shot. Treat all your opponents as dangerous. Your sounding like there was something wrong in his prep.
Yes I agree. He struggled to make weight but Amat also came in heavy and competed at 71kg instead of 67kg so it takes nothing away from the win. But Yaseen produced a video in his channel after this one explaining his lack of focus coming into this one and also struggling to make weight. You can check that out it’s a solid video.
0 chin.
😬😬😬
I’m shocked you posted this considering you rim the life out of yaseen when you see him
Anything for clout these days
I don’t rim anyone so if you’re here keep it respectful. I explained to Yaseen at length why this video is going up - I don’t owe you an explanation. If I was after clout I wouldn’t dedicate myself to grass roots amateur boxing.
@@BoxingTunes didn’t ask 👍
This channel is for showcasing all amateur boxers including Yaseen - it’s not a fan page. Yaseen is my brother and I have respect for him as with Amat.
Kindly take your frustrations elsewhere 👍🏾
This happened to me too recently akh we plan and Allah plans come back stronger brother inshallah
Sometimes the “defeat” we don’t want ends up being the one we need!
