- An excellent contest between ex clubs mates Connor Mitchell of West Ham Boys and Tom Welland of Hoddesdon Boxing Academy.
Well worthy of a final all day long and one of the best contests over the 3 days that I had the pleasure to film. I've seen both compete at the London Finals previously, so this wasn't one to miss and boy did it live up to my expectations!

That was a couple years back but Connor has since won the NABGC and the NAC regional in his first year as a senior for West Ham. If he goes on to win the Nationals it will be the first time a father and son have won it as seniors!

This was a great bout and a load of punches being landed it was hard to score this bout it was a very close fight and both great boxers they will definitely do well in the future
Yeah that’s spot on - no two judges are going to see exactly the same thing. Connor went on to win Gold this year along with club mate Fred Pullen but Tom turned pro after losing in the semi final to Hassan Ishaq of Golden Gloves.
@@BoxingTunes Conor Mitchell,Fred pullen and Tom wellend are all brilliant boxers and I will definitely watch them in the pros
@@tatemurphy4076 Tom signed with Wasserman so should be easy enough to watch. Louix Goodman another one to watch out for. Him and Fred fought a close final.

@@Strikingathlete01 that was last year. I mean Connor did well by winning the Gold THIS year. There’s only 3 rounds bro, if he win the “first few” (more than 1) he wins the fight 😅
@@BoxingTunes Sorry, did he win the tournament last year as well? I mean the 1st round. Middle round seemed a bit even. Had Welland a bit more for his cleaner shots, but could have gone either way.
@@Strikingathlete01 No, last year Scott Stannard beat Connor in the final but he was injured this year and didn’t fight. Tom lost this year in the Semi final to Hassan Ishaq from LuckyGloves
