- Tyrese Yaseen Ramsey AKA The Chessboxer meets the 23-0 undefeated Amateur Dylan Oke who took his 0 in a previous encounter. The Light middleweights battle it out to be crowned the 71kg King of London Elite Amateur Boxers.
This was billed as the most hotly anticipated encounter of the finals.
That was a good competitive bout, top quality content as always 🔥🔥🔥👏🏾
You already know! The best v the best. Glad we got to see that fight, I was worried Dylan was gonna get disqualified in his semi final fight as they were both on final warnings in the last round.
The judges scored the contest as follows. 1st round 5-0 to Ramsey. 2nd round 3-2 Ramsey. 3rd round 5-0 Ramsey.
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing that - brilliant insight 💯🥊
lol where are all the people that said Dylan’s was gonna win by stoppage
Gd W by tyrese but feel sorry for Dylan having to box 2 rounds back to back whilst your opponent just rests to the final. You're not gonna be as fresh
I also said that was a probability based on Dylan’s previous fights.
Dylan didn’t look like he was lacking energy and Yaseen doesn’t influence the draw so that doesn’t come into it. It couldn’t have happened the other way.
Acting like it wasn’t possible just wasn’t his night
Thanks 🙏 Easy to imagine these two meeting again as pros a few years down the line…
Absolutely! Both a credit to the sport. Yeah that would be something although i’m not sure if I’d be too keen on watching that as a fan of both boxers
Great commentary , explaining scoring shots and giving unbiased views. I had it the same close bout and the count made a big difference in the last round.
I appreciate you man, thank you so much for the support it really means a lot. Yeah good tactics from Yaseen and with Dylan chasing the fight in that 3rd he left those openings and Yaseen capitalised really well.
Content is always top quality. The bout of the night 🙌🏾
Appreciate you brother - high level jousting - so good to see the best go at it!
Brilliant commentary and explanation of scoring shots
Thank you my friend it’s very kind of you to think and say so. There were some brilliant bouts at these finals and the rest of the bouts will also get uploaded so please consider turning on the notification button to be alerted when the next one is up 🙏🏾🥊
Yaseen's high guard reminded me of the high guard Terence Crawford used vs Errol Spence. Very subtle with it but extremely effective. I didn't see any big shots get through his defence. I thought Dylan would be a bit more physical but it looked like Yaseen was getting the better leverage in those clinches. The standing count made a close fight not so close anymore. I think that sealed the win for Yaseen, very unlucky for Dylan. Wicked fight, thanks for the upload
Yes I agree he was very effective with it. In previous fights Dylan’s punches have accumulated and taken their toll
rather than just one singe big shot, so by Yaseen blocking them most he didn’t take punishment like others and was fresher than Dylan going into the last round. I think because Dylan didn’t have as much luck as he’s used to, he ended up chasing the fight in the third and expended more energy as well as giving Yaseen more openings. Glad you enjoyed it - a privilege to be able to share it with a wider audience
I liked the insight of what was a scoring punch. like this set up aswell. best of both worlds.
thank you brother - do you mean the camera angle in rounds 1&2 by the setup or the commentary?
Good content 🙌🏿
Thanks 💯 Glad you enjoyed it 👊🏾
Was the best against the best 💯🔥
This is it! Hopefully Yaseen goes further in the Nationals this year but 2 London Belts back-to-back in his first 2 seasons as an elite is huge!
I had Dylan win 1 and 2 only round Dylan lost convincingly was round 3 but he dominated round 1 and most of round 2
I wouldn’t say anyone dominated any round but in any case judges are basing their scoring on what someone does for half of the round, so even if Dylan had dominated half of the 2nd it doesn’t mean anything in and by itself. You have to score the whole round
Me too
Round one side was close but Dylan did not win 2nd and third he got dominated on the third but second was a competitive round, but Yaseen still took that
Quality content my brother مَا شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ 👌🏽👏🏽
Jazakallah Thank you for the support. Plenty more in store from the Finals as there were some great bouts, and still more videos to drop from Devs, inters and youths.
I thought Dylan won round 1 & 2
They were close rounds - would have been interesting to see how the judges scored each round.
Someone ask Dylan what flavour Yaseen gloves were 😂😂 that boy kept tasting them
The fanboy is back lol
@@BoxingTunes your the Dylan fanboy
very original 😴 I’ll get you Yaseen’s signature if you want? 😆
Is that why I spent 4 months producing a mini doc with Yaseen? Go back to bed...
@@BoxingTunes look let’s be fair without being biased Yaseen smoked Dylan all 3 rounds went to him the first was close but Yaseen snatched it 2nd Yaseen won fairly 3rd Yaseen dominated
Nearly 6 mins in, I’d say the guy in the blue is winning by far , the red will learn a lot from this but he’s not landing enough he’s more so practising all sorts on back foot and so on.. both will do well, but Yano a 0 has to go … maybe they’ll meet in the pros but yeah the guy in red isn’t bad at all he is also enjoyable to watch
Guy in blue corner was 23-0 and had previously beaten guy in red. Check out a mini documentary called The Chessboxer on my page which features Yaseen in red for more insight into his journey and record. Very talented boxer. He got his tactics just right
Had Yaseen all 3 rounds close on the first 2 but still thought Yaseen was on the better side each of the rounds
That’s fair play - By definition there’s not much to choose between in close rounds and you’re not wrong to
score them both to Yaseen and judges can and do differ too.
Thought you might
like to know that LondonBoxing posted the judges scores and all Yaseen won 1st 5-0, 2nd 3-2 and 3rd 5-0
Great commentary
Much appreciated! There was poll on instagram I did collating questions
around amateur boxing rules so
trying to incorporate the answers to those questions into these videos.
Good bout this was 🥊🔥
Yes very technical 👌🏾
Ring looks so small ring considering it’s a Senior London final
Standard size pretty much for England Boxing - Certainly looks small when the 80kg+ are in there!
Did you record the Dhliwayo v Pullen fight by any chance ?
Yes champ I got every round of every fight!
@@BoxingTunes 🐐
We have the experience to handle
the situation 😆 I think 2 more fights in full or extended highlights and the rest highlights
how tall are these guys? im at 69kg but feel like they would tower over me
About 6”
Anymore 56-65kg bouts recorded ?
57, 60 and 63.5 all coming up
He really wanted Dillon to win 😂
Dylan not Dillon - if that’s the case why would I also point out the foul shots that Dylan threw with the wrist and forearm? Make it make sense.
This fight was close tbh not a lot in it at all nobody got ‘smoked’
Yeah somebody was smoking something on the way to watch the bout!
Ngl after watching this you could make an argument for blue winning rounds 1&2 based on aggression
I get what you’re saying and whilst close rounds can tip either way, and the first two were very close, they are no longer judged on aggression. The new term is competitiveness. So if we each scored 4 similar punches in a round it will go to the person making the fight. But Yaseen in the second round was initiating action as well. Also very important to note Technical and tactical superiority, so if you get your tactics right and counter effectively on the back-foot the other guy doesn’t edge it on being aggressive.
What was his record?
I think he is now 27 fights 25 win! First loss to dylan in blue and next loss in the national finals (quarter) to the number 1 seed
Unless the reff indicates a slap then its a point my friend the referee control the bout for fouls 👍🏿
Not necessarily - for instance, punches when holding do not score either but the ref doesn’t have to call those out each and every time, but when the judges see that the punches are landing from a foul position they won’t score them.
Also, when a ref calls it, they are giving a warning with repeat offences leading to point deduction so it’s not a must for the ref to call it for the judges not to score it
Na you are wrong about the third round that was clear for red for sure
Wrong how? I said it was a close round but Yaseen landed those clean shots and won the round. Close round meaning there were only 2-3 points lead.
This video seems a bit bias to dylan their was a reason it was unanimous Yaseen smoked him with ease he played chess and Dylan was playing checkers ♟️♟️🔥🔥💯💯
No, with all due respect you’re a big Yaseen fan which is fair enough but far from unbiased and you don’t really understand how boxing is scored or what unanimous means. UD means all 5 judges agreed on the winner. It doesn’t mean the winner won every round.
