At first the KPH30i's do hurt a little, but now I wear them for over 8 hours every day for work and will not use any other headset. They become a part of you. The mic works good for conversations, but would not recommend it for video games, but I love the sound quality and love the sound for music, I do not listen to a lot of heavy bass. If you are a bass head, you likely will not love them, they are really sweet in the mids. When they go on sale for $20, they are a steal. The build quality is not great, they will break at the upper left hand corner. I have broken a couple of them, but Koss stands behind its lifetime warranty and for $9 they will send you a new one.

I need to go back to them again sometime! They are for sure such a good headset at an insane price. Nice to know they take the warranty serious!

The sound is nothing to write home about? You must have gotten a bad pair or something because for Kph30i, the KSC75, and Porta Pro they all sound fantastic. I have legitimately returned up to $500 headphones because I liked the Koss better. Not just on sound of course but comfort as well but these seriously punch above their price range. Some headphones I have tried to A:B with the Koss and they have been so close on sound it’s amazing. One example, the Koss KSC75 and Grado SR80. The Grado only offered slightly more detail but did not have the soundstage or comfort of the KSC75.

I definitely think the KSC75 and the Porta Pro sound fantastic! This headset just didn't really do it for me. For my workflow, I need something that sounds very natural for my professional and youtube video work. But still a solid headset for the price, just not my preferred!

I agree.. I bought the clear model kph30i for my kid to use at school. Of course I demo'd them first.
      Wow.
Especially with a Fiio A1 amp they really come alive. They were comparable to my Sennheiser hd 598se.

a slight eq adjustment , just lower the 120 hz to 250 hz by 1db , you will be happy

For $30 + another $10 for the grado pads I think they sound awesome. Comfortable to. Coming from a guy who daily drives oppo pm3's and Sundaras.

Nice, I need to try them with the grado pads! They just squeeze a little too tight for my head!

@@BaxTechYT yeah I only put them on with the stock pads once it the clam was definitely strong. But I haven't taken the grado pads off since I put them on. I put them in boiled water for 30 seconds( supposed to soften them up more) and let them fully dry first. The fit feels weird at first cause it's still on ear but it covers your whole ear but I got used to it quick and the clamp way better. Also big sound, it made me question my Sundara purchase for a second but just for a second 😆

The clear version is a little brighter. I like these headphones but with different pads. The ksc75 model is my favorite.

I’ll be trying out some other pads soon, thanks for the recommendation! But yes, the KSC75 will forever be Koss’ greatest creation!

First of all I'm not audiophile, just a guy who loves his music. I have them and I did Grado pads mod on them and I have to say they are full of fun and just ok. maybe if you think this plastic little thing can't play nice then you gonna be positively surprised. But if you watch all this hype around them and waiting 10 days for delivery then you can be bit disappointed in the end. I have 15 Iem's under 50 dollars/euro price and all of them eat this koss on breakfast. I listen to my music like 4 hours every day on many different devices and I know what I should get from great sounding stuff, full spectrum low, mid and highs, soundstage, separation and imaging Almost all is there. Here we have bass, yea really nice bass and we have sharp heights but mid range is very weak, no body and life in mids. Vocals sounds like coming from another room. Probably This headphones are to good for 30$ and all you more than happy to use them but for this money you can get much better sounding Iem's like Tangzu wan'er, Qkz x HBB Khan, Blon bl-03, just to mention something. I listen trough Fiio 7k and Qudelix 5k.
