    Nice video, just got a set of K02s on my 2019 4runner thanks to your earlier video. I have a little over 1,000 miles on them. Just got from a 4 da trip to Rileys Camp off of Cima road and the 15 FWY, they performed great. I have had K02s before on my other 4x4s and they did a great job. One thing I noticed after replacing the Dunlops was how sure footed the 4Runner felt, better traction and tire grip of the road. Tks for sharing

      Hi John, thank you for your comment. Sounds like we are close to the same miles on our new tires, we'll see how they do. Riley's looks interesting, I believe he was a WWI vet. Yes, the KO2's feel sure footed and grippy. They perform well on and off road. I would not want to run anything else. Will be putting a set of KO2 E loads on the Sprinter in next couple of months. Thanks for staying with my channel.

      It's a beast. Still enjoy driving it every day. Just had the oil changed and put in a $15 bosch cabin filter from amazon. Never misses a beat. Wash it every week but it still doesn't look as good or clean as yours.

    Curious how much pavement driving you did with the previous set? Seems most ppl agree they're great off-road tires, but curious how they'd wear with mostly pavement use and only light off-roading

    I have 84,000 miles on my 285/70/17 ko/2's and am ordering a new set today (5th set ive owned, and i am 100% never changing to a different tire)
    The ONLY thing better than these is the original BFG all-terrain's i use to buy for my tacoma, that they no longer make!
    Ive pulled bolts, nails, screws out of the tread without having to repair them, no leaks.
    Ive scuffed the sidewalls on extreme trail rides and never had a gash/roll off/cut that caused concern.
    I run these on 2 vehicles: 2000 jeep xj and a 2003 toyota sequoia, both are modified for off-road use.

    I think it’s wise to stay with the 265 size. I’m going to do that to mine too. I am going to level the truck but I’m staying with a 265 tire. I just don’t want the headaches of a 285.

    • @campingina4wd
      @campingina4wd  Рік тому +2

      I agree with you on the 265. I think 265 is the perfect size for the 4Runner. Only thing I am going to do is change the tires so the white letters are facing out. Appreciate your comment.

      Great looking set up. I like a stock set up but with more capable tires. My 2018 is due for a new set to replace the OEM Dunlop but I’m thinking KO2 pizza cutters at 255/75R17. How noisy are the KO2’s compared to the original Dunlops?

    Hi Mr. Bud. I am new to 4runner. Last year I bought a new SR5 regular 4runner 2 wheel drive and I have these factury tires 245/70/R17 110S. I see videos with 275 and 295 /70/R17 updates requiring a lot adjustment (e.g. hight and mudfenders) to avoid rubbing. Can I use the LT 265/70/R17 that you are showing in your video without any adjustment and reem change?

    • @campingina4wd
      @campingina4wd  Рік тому +1

      My SR5 is 4x4 and the Ko2s are 265/70/R17 All Terrain not LT. I cannot say for certain if 265 Ko2s will work without issue on your two wheel drive 4Runner. Check and verify the factory tire size for your 4runner. If the factory tire size is 265 then they should work.

    Can you share whether or not you did a lift or leveling? And what type of shocks did you go with if you went that route, sir. Thank you in advance. Going to amend this comment. I scrolled down further. Read other comments. No lift no leveling. Looks good though. I might do a level because I’m trying to get rid of this brake dive. I’m used to driving trucks and want a firmer ride. But it’s nice to know that if I just change the tires and the rims it would look like that. Have a great day, sir.

    • @campingina4wd
      @campingina4wd  Рік тому +3

      Correct. All factory except for the wheels and tires. Considered doing bilstein shocks all around and spacers for the back. After the trd pro wheels and ko2's decided to drive it for awhile and go on a few camping trips. Got use to the ride and left everything else factory. Thank you for watching and your comment!

    I hear people say they have issues with balance and sometimes vibrating at high speed with the KO2. That might have something to do with running bigger tires than what’s recommended by manufacture but I don’t know. I plan to get the same brand but debating between 265 or 275.

      I have Ko2 265/70r17 and my god these had vibration issues at 60-70mph. I could see the steering wheel and the front end vibrating, even the seats vibrating. I had these balanced 3 times, and had to do a road force balance twice and only then did they feel OK. I do all highway miles to I felt it all the time. I have put about 15k miles on them. And tried balancing them a total of 5 times. I don't think I will buy them a 2nd time though

    Sharp truck, especially with those wheels, tires and grill mod. I have the ko2s on my f150 and definitely will put them on my 2020 4Runner soon. I like a little tire noise also. May I reccomend the TRD skid plate on your rig? It would look sick 👍

      The ko2s have been my best upgrade. If my 4R was newer like yours I would consider the skid plate and probably add the weathertech window shades and rain guards. At this point, I just wash it each week and have it serviced at the dealership. Drive it every day and it never misses a beat. Thanks for your comment. I Appreciate it.

      Did you end up trying KO2s? If so, how are they riding? I've also been considering the KO2s for my 4R but worry about all the talk of balancing issues. I've read and heard that the KO2s should have a road force balance, which not all tire shops provide.

    looks great! seen one on my workplace with same spec tires. they look awesome stock! ive had 285s on my FJ and 265/70/18 on my gx. very similar sized tires. 32.8 vs 32.5.. for me 265s are the way to go.. 265/70/17 is 31.7.. will try to get 255/75/17 to get 32.1 tires for my upcoming 4runner.. i may just end up putting a 0.5” dobinsons top mount spacer to lift the front a bit. i prefer a rake look so when i haul stuff im not bottoming out on the back..
