Matt 17 dollas for some spinach 😭 that spinach better make me popeye
😂😂😂😂
That shi looks dry
LOL
😂😂😂
It’s NYC, I’ve been here all my life so the prices never surprise me lol
9 dollars for a single slice of bacon 😭😭😭
Cold* bacon
It’s pretty much a slice of pork belly. The dish cost as much as buying a whole pork belly from a butcher
i know right, i can get a a quarter pork belly for that much 💀
I'm pretty sure it's wild caught bore, which tastes a lot better than regular farm raised pigs. There's a reason why it's so expensive
@@KingSlayer_. idk if it’s bore but it looks like porn belly strips but even then i can get a quarter of a pork belly for like 8 bucks at the super market. that piece of pork belly is still nearly 10x more expensive
That steak cold as fuck😂
Bruh I was thinking the same shit 😂
Lol I was about to post this comment. You can tell just by the way it looks
He walked literally like a block before eating it. No more than 2 mins after it being done, should still be very warm
max said it was extremely cold outside
@@zzpz not the distance, the weather
Over 100$ for a single steak? Nah. Fuck that.
It’s for 2 doggie. Peter Luger’s you usually split with the table. But they’re mid for sure these days
20 bucks for that spinach crap?
@@Junebug787 They expect people to split that small ass steak? Highway robbery.
it’s a prime dry aged 24 oz porterhouse, I’m not exactly surprised it’s that much. It’s supposed to be a meal for 2 people because most of these high end steak houses serve sides family style which means the steak should be enough for 2 people.
@@bradthegiant I wouldn’t call it a small steak but if you want a 24oz whopper on a budget just go to Salt Grass or make it at home for $20. Here you’re just payin for the name and the hype
$18 for spinach😂😂😂😂 I should open a restaurant
Open a steakhouse you won’t need to be creative with your sides and that’s where all the suckers eat.
Lol goodluck!!! Been in the restaurant business for 20 years and it aint for the faint of heart. Especially with inflation. Everyone can cook but not alot of People understand food cost in the industry, labor cost, utility cost.
Ok go for it and once it's been open since 1887 or 136 years. Once you make it that long with critically acclaimed food for so long then you can charge $18 for the spinach
@@Kaszubdak80 it can be open for a thousand and I'm still not paying $18 for spinach
@@rzamills these ignorant people who never owned a business or had to cover payroll say the same about every business. Worst part is when you try to explain overhead, and how much it costs to employ, their smooth brain can’t comprehend.
I should open a restaurant called "We're fucking you," it'd be Michelin rated the first week 😭😭
U might draw the wrong crowd.. 😄

In terms of money, we have no money

@@santoslara9728 because he picked it up, you hit like three minutes max to have a steak in a container, hence why he didn’t judge that
He's reviewing a steakhouse meal in a parking lot, so there you go.
And the texture was savory I'm guessing
Value: 6/7
Pays: $135 for a steal and $17 for spinach😂
Also “edge to edge” being an 8/10 with that big ass grey band. Lol tf?
And $8.95 for 1 slice of bacon
@@KFO-sr3wzVote blue no matter who.
No one is gonna mention the $18 for swamp sludge
😂
When you serve steak that good, it doesn't matter what you charge for anything else.
It really did look like there was no cream at all in the cream spinach.
Snot bucket would be another appropriate name for it. Looked kinda like not so yummie.
@@anheuser-busch I get better steak at Texas Roadhouse
😭😂💀
That steak so dry that the Sahara handed over its car keys 😂
Going by the pink in the middle I disagree. I just think you're use to the image of a warm steak being cut and the juices coming out. This steak is takeout, so probably made 30+ minutes prior, pre cut and cold because it's take out and outside.
@@andrewdishman26It’s cool to hate on Peter Luger these days. It’s a great restaurant still.
@@TheGodYouWishYouKnewif all you’ve ever known is tourist traps it is

Steak looks 4 days old chilling in the lounge
Bro, that steak was ice cold by the time you bit into it.
Cant believe how bad the food looks compared to when you film stuff in your studio with fancy lights
Good point
Ofc he hearts this bs 😂 imagine ordering a steak to go. Use your brain and understand the types of food that keep the integrity as they sit. Or just keep being a socially awkward weirdo and eating slop
Cream of spinach and it’s cold outside. I wonder what happens to cream when it’s cold
It’s crazy how bad natural light makes red meat look. Goes from food for the gods to an anemic door stop just because the sun looked at it, but it tastes exactly the same
Goes to show you, its all camera work. This dude is a joke
You just brought back some memories with the grape juice 😂
If you're ever in Toronto please try out Barbarians, it's oldest steakhouse.
Conan, what is best in life?
Crush your enemies
See them driven before you
And have a delicious steak dinner at the end
It hurts me at a very deep level that I just spent 300 dollars on a 3D printer, and the steak dinner you bought ranks a little over half of that 😭😭😭
Steaks are nice and all but they dont provide much value, especially when they're served cold or just dont taste good. Id reward myself every once in a while even though steak isnt my favorite dish.
This is just like normal high end expensive dining, it's not like piss take expensive like salt bae or one of those ridiculously expensive burgers where they put caviar and gold leaf on just so they can charge $7000 or something.
@@DarkDomain0001 shut up
That wasn't even worth half of what he paid lol.
I bought one for 400
I’d lie to myself and say that steak was amazing too
100 bucks usually does the talking
"An opinion you don't agree with" =/= "a lie," though - it is possible they really enjoyed the steak in earnest.
I mean if you just wasted $100 on that thing, you'd have to pat yourself on the back somehow just to feel like it's worth it 😂
It really is amazing, especially when it comes out sizzling from the kitchen. You will never have a steak that good.
@@k47w The Great Neck location is slowly becoming my favorite (ironically, since when I was little I went there with my grandparents and got turned off from steak for years, because I think they ordered it closer to medium well, when (as I later found out) my preference is more towards the very rare side).
Went there last Christmas, and the crust on the steak was, well, crispier, though it feels like less salt on one side than the other, the bacon was warm in contrast to the last time I went to the Williamsburg location, where it was actually lukewarm... in the dining area, the padded chairs were nice, and the dining room felt really cozy in regards to how the part I was in wrapped around the kitchen, and the resulting layout had us seated (on top of the carpeting IMO pulling the room together), and the service was fast, efficient, and very friendly too.
Honestly, I think being further away from Brooklyn, and the city in general, helps in some odd way with keeping standards up.
That looks wall to wall cold 🥶
gotta love seeing everyone go to this place to make a video on how the restaurant isn't worth it and still pay hundreds and advertise it to people afterwards. Real smart
No way in hell I’d pay that much for a steak every other steak house is serving up
He put the rating up for 0000000.1 second so I have rewatch the entire thing to get it again
I gotta watch this all over again for that scooore
How do you like your steak : extremely cold 🥶
Longhorn parking lot >>>
Only true fans know this was a whole video
Steak looks cold, just go to the restaurant my guy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
We love the steak reviews! Bring them back please
He had me in the first half 😂
i love the setup lol, you should do this with more restaurants, you could even invite passerby to dine with you 😂
Straight jacked this set up and review style from a bloke in the UK whose been doin it and blowing up the last year.
The reason the crust is so much better on top is because they lightly sear the steak on each side, cut the steak up and then finish the steak under a broiler
$135 for one steak will get me a month worth of food!
It’s great for celebrations. We go every year for my dad’s birthday.
Max never disappoints right?

Why can’t you just go to your local butcher and do it yourself? If you wonder what it tastes like, how is Max cooking it and eating it going to help you?

I fealt disrespected with that “sike” dont try that around my hood i wont let that slide fr fr
The swirl of the glass of Welch’s mad it classy
Definitely, some time, try the Great Neck Peter Luger location and do a comparison!
When he said well don my skin was abt to fall rn
When I searched “Luger” I expected videos about the firearm Luger, not steak. 💀
Dude they didn't even let it rest.... Look at the center 😭😭😂
“Well done”
SIKE
“Medium rare”
The supa hot fire sike got me rolling😂😂😂😂😂
Thatsa medium rare that sat under the heat lamp for 5+mins at least😂
If you ever get a chance, Moishes in montreal has a lot of history. They moved to a new location in the city during covid, which kinda sucks because the original location had so much history. But its a damn good steak.
I live in New York, and I go to Peter luger once a month with friends. The steak comes on a giant platter that is piping hot, and the bottom sits in its juices. The plate is so hot that if the steak isn't done enough for you, you can cook it on the plate. The waiter will then serve it to you. Always. Its so big, the steak for two feeds 3-4 people. It looks cold. That's probably bc you got your steak to go, and you're eating it outside. Never do that. And the creamed spinach is only good when fresh. It's not the same after sitting. Bacon is good all the time.
Fuckin had me with that saying well done shit
"In terms of taste..." proceeds to talk about texture.
I panicked when he said well done for a second
Are you eating in the parking lot lol😂
it’s funny bc i can tell just by looking us minnesotans would consider that weather warm
The steak looked like it's been cold for a while
“Edge to edge medium rare” points to a ring of grey 💀
I felt attacked...at the sike part. "Not gonna lie"-max the meet guy.
Peter Luger is one of the many steakhouses that only purchase prime cuts of beef. Great place that I understand is in need of attention. You can also dine in and actually enjoy it. In terms of price, blame the location. New York is overly pricey. There are fantastic steakhouses throughout the US. Peter Luger was one of them.
Wow that lawyer guy totally recreated himself. Impressive
The gray band around that steak is horrendous and I’m baffled that you let it slide
Peter booger gray on the outside overcooked and $9 bacon slice? Im goin to mcdonalds.
Steak was dryer than your nose being out in the cold that long.
Thought he was gonna go for well done and I almost scrolled away 😂
they can be nice for events and celebrations but im not a huge fan of fancy expensive steak restaurants . the only real thing that separates them is the cuts of meat they use and i would rather get that grade of cut and grill it over charcoal myself
that’s peter liger steak looked ice fucking cold
Best steak I've ever had in my life. So miss Peter Luger's. Haven't been to NYC in yrs. Need to come back!
Imagine walking by this dude in the street. I'd prolly just pull up a chair and sit down w 0 context regardless if he's filming or not 🤣
I don't care how good it is, no steak is worth over a hundred dollars!

---when your getting paid to eat
Literally what I had the last time I went there. I really love their bacon. Agreed on the creamed spinach too.
That looked like some fancy wine..
I ordered the exact same things when I ate there. It was a great one-time experience, but once is enough. It was very good but very expensive. And the spinach is just as he described. I’d recommend the steak and bacon though, if you ever decide to eat there.
I think the bottom part lacking in sear is because their unique technique with finishing the half cooked steak and cranking up the heat in broiler so the upper part is seared more than bottom part
Both sides get a nice crust, but he got it to go and it steamed itself on the bottom
The taste was tender?
Common man!
Supa hot fire came outta retirement for this
Grey ring around it. You've taught me not to take that shit.
Exactly. Idk why he trying to convince us that it's wall to wall medium rare LMAO. It is definitely overcooked (for his standards)

Prices like that shouldn’t be legal. Period.
You should do Halls Chophouse in South Carolina (either Columbia or Charleston)
