Today it’s episode two from Germany and I’d like to thank you all for coming back for another episode… I know not everyone likes to see a brief departure from the normal video style, but from time to time it’s necessary to experiment…’tis my job to try to entertain after all... Haha many years later, I’m glad this place is still around and doing the challenge, and nice they added fries. I do remember the food being good, and was just super caught off guard when they wanted over €100 or something like that, for the waters and sodas we drank during the challenge haha. Great win and thanks for the shoutout!!

Jaeger Sauce (Hunter's Sauce), is a type of creamy gravy and mushroom sauce with onions. The main thing is: Onions and Mushrooms, and there is so many variations because each chef, each family, has their own version on how it is to be made. Served with Schnitzels specifically the Jaeger Schnitzel, but can also be served with beef. Few have also made a rice mix with the sauce, with forgeable vegetables/roots and herbs. It kind of is like a German National Sauce.
The basic version is pretty easy to make: Butter in a pan, add diced onions and get em golden brown so they'll give you some sweetnes, get them to the side of the pan and add the mushrooms (when chanterelles are in season you can also use those, it's delicious!) and get them to lose their water. Now you can extinguish with a bit of darker liquor, like bourbon, brandy or cognac, but that's optional. Add some beef or begetable broth (not too much), let it reduce a bit and add cream. Seasoned with pepper and salt, let reduce a bit again and as a finishing touch some freshly chopped up parsley also fits really well.

0:50 - I may be on my own with this, but; please don't go 'professional' in terms of choosing/thinking about shots. You've built your following by being straight forward with the filming and direction. You go to places with food challenges, you enjoy the experience/food/service and people... and you order dessert. That's you/your brand, not flashy camera moves. This mentioned, whatever your direction, I'll certainly be watching for a long while yet. You're very much appreciated :)
I think there was a comment from him in the first German video, where he said, this is just a try due to his trip through Germany. So we‘ll see the known content soon again 😉

I like the original style videos better. A lot more genuine catching the interactions between you and the people and there’s not annoying rock music playing while you’re eating
I really enjoy the simple format you usually use. Youre such a good conversationalist. Your interactions with locals are some of the highlights for me.
Same, like I don’t need all the b roll footage of the food and talking back and forth with the camera guy. Used to be one on one with the viewer, don’t even think he mentioned the viewers once

Also wenn du mehr ins ländliche und vor allem nach Bayern oder Baden-Württemberg gehst, findest du an jeder Ecke was gutes "Deutsches". Großstädte sind nun mal Kulturzentren weshalb sich dort alles mögliche an Kulturen trifft und man muss sich halt leider oft durchprobieren bis man was gutes findet.

Got to say I prefer the tried and tested format, and why a countdown clock? Especially when Randy's time is blended in underneath - just confusing. When you are "solo" - there is often more interaction with the locals. Turning up with a crew is bound to affect that in a negative way and the banter with them is not a positive.
It affects it in a positive way in that it allows two cameras to be moved through time and space by cam ops to capture footage…rather than relying on a fixed action camera mounted on a table and hoping that what happens is captured in its field of view. That’s why I took the liberty to experiment. Regular discount production will resume in one episode 👌🏻

Not sure if I like the new editing style. There is much less focus on the intro, which usually highlighted much more of the restaurant, the area it was in and the dish itself. You cut straight to the eating in these latest videos. I think I liked the previous style better.

I'm not sure what I like more, the cat at the window or fella behind the bar just watching you eat. Very well done, I doubt I'd be able to even get half way through a challenge like this in one sitting, let alone the whole damn thing in 36 mins!
I liked the previous rough formula much more. It delivered pure joy of watching a guy that eats lot of food and interacts with people. Like a buddy. And figuring by millions of viewers it just worked well. Now it got complicated and not natural. Those guys behind camera, mic and editing are not you Beards.
I'd never thought that beard would come to Worms tbh. I moved to Worms from Berlin for my studies in Aviation Management so it's so funny to me that this village is visited by my most favourite UA-camr. much love !
I understand the desire/need to change things up so you don't get bored of the same ol song and dance. That being said the new style feels distant compared to the old one, I enjoyed the "tag-along" type feel of the old style. And the food eating noises are certainly a little weird on the ears, wondering if those can get cut out in future installments. What I *do* like about the new style is the banter between you and your crew, it retains some of that lightheartedness of the old style that I enjoyed. Also the intro and outros feel a little rushed? Maybe it's just cause the b rolls are shorter, not super sure. Love the content as always, it's fun seeing new parts of the world. Cheers.
Problems with any outros on UA-cam is if people leave before the whole video ends, UA-cam takes away marks and treats it as people not liking the video. So best not to have a long or repeated outro at all.
You need another channel with the full version of your challenges, no cuts, no editing, just the full time so we can enjoy the background atmosphere and enjoy relaxing while watching, I'm pretty sure a lot of people would enjoy that and fall asleep on your videos. Not that your boring, it's just nice to relax to. Give a heart if think its a good idea.
jägersauce - cook pork with onions in a bit of oil, then you add champignons till they are brown, then you add a bit of milk and lots of cream, then you add some parsley and done

Love you beard, but I do prefer the original format. It probably gets lonely on the road alone so I get the switchup. I don't know, it just feels more awesome when you rock into a joint solo and engage with the staff and fellow customers, and it's those interactions that are gold and sets you apart from other eating channels. Also, you talk directly to us an audience which is a much more immersive experience. Much love ❤️

Your previous style with you talking over them and fixed camera without the sound effects was part of the charm in my opinion and you should go back to it, it’s more enjoyable that way

You need another channel with the full version of your challenges, no cuts, no editing, just the full time so we can enjoy the background atmosphere and enjoy relaxing while watching, I'm pretty sure a lot of people would enjoy that and fall asleep on your videos. Not that your boring, it's just nice to relax to. Give a heart if think its a good idea.

Love you beard, but I do prefer the original format. It probably gets lonely on the road alone so I get the switchup. I don't know, it just feels more awesome when you rock into a joint solo and engage with the staff and fellow customers, and it's those interactions that are gold and sets you apart from other eating channels. Also, you talk directly to us an audience which is a much more immersive experience.

Your previous style with you talking over them and fixed camera without the sound effects was part of the charm in my opinion and you should go back to it, it’s more enjoyable that way

Jaeger sauce is a hunters sauce which is creamy mushroom and probably the best sauce for a schnitzel ;-)
