To be fair to Crocodile, he thought he did kill Luffy in their first two fights, leaving him buried in sand after impaling Luffy on his hook at the end of the first fight and then made Luffy a shriveled up mummy in the second one.
Luffy only survived the first because Robin saved him, and only lived through the second because he shot water up into the air in case that situation occurred.
So not Crocodile leaving Luffy alive on purpose, instead he put Luffy in a situation where he thought Luffy would die and went off without making sure because he had better things to do
Up till the crocodile fight I knew he got impaled so I thought that's where his scar came from still wondering how it didn't happen

Kill la Kill’s reasoning for skimpy armor is actually explained in the anime and does actually make sense. Since Kamuis are 100% life fibers, the more skin it’s exposed to, the more dangerous to the wearer it is, thus it’s skimpy to cut back on contact. Though I feel personal fashion sense went into the designs for both Ryuko and Satsuki

I hate FT, but in the case of Erza you've got it all wrong and it's really annoying how you use her in every video as an example.
Her mummy wrap armor is supposed to be her LEAST DEFENSIVE but MOST OFFENSIVE armor (it offers 0 protection but gives her an enormous boost on attack power). She has lots of other armors that look heavy af and cover almost 100% of her body and those are supposed to be her defensive armors.
There are thousands if not tens of thousands or more of better examples (including other things in FT), please use them instead.

I can't tell whether you're serious or not, but if you are, I completely disagree with your examples of what makes a good anime fight. All of the things to make a fight less predictable you mentioned were tropes that have happened in dozens of popular anime. This shit always makes the fight LESS interesting for me.
