- As water temperatures drop into the low 60s and 50s its time to start making the change to fall time baits. In this video I show off a few lures Ive found success with in the cool water period.
Really like your channel. Keep it up. I like the everyday mans approach you bring rather than some hotshot selling something they’re getting paid to throw. Well done.
Thanks for the vid Anthony. gonna try it out this weekend in Eagle River. Really like how you present information. Keep up the good work
If water temps are still in the low 60s the bucktail bite in shallow weeds should still be working. Worked for me last weekend in Vilas county. Video posting tomorrow morning.
Great lure selection! I'd add suckers to that list.
Thanks for watching! Looking to do some sucker fishing this fall
Nice job Anthony I just started to watch your videos and I like them 👍🏻
Thank you! And thanks for watching! I've got 3 new videos in the pipeline so stay tuned!
Nice job.
Great video man.
Thanks for watching!
Great info im ready for fall 🎣
Thanks for watching!
Glidebaits like a phantom soft tail with a little hang time on the pause is deadly when it gets cold.
Great vid man
Thanks! Make sure to check out my spring lure selection video!
Well done 👍🇺🇸 W.V.
Great advice and thanks for the tutorial. Do you know if it’s possible to buy a replacement tail on soft tails?🎣
Awesome...suscribed

Hey Anthony, have you thought about doing a spring video like this one?
Absolutely! I'm still about 6 weeks away from fishing muskies up north. But I can do a video on my prefer baits for the early season.
Video is uploaded. Check it out!
If I y ok could only buy 2 lures for October and you are fishing a lake with fairly clear water some spots has grass shallow and tree cover what would you get
For October? I'd get myself and green and black regular sized bulldawg, and large sized swimmin' dawg in a Cisco pattern.
For those that are interested, I've got my spring lure selection now up on my channel. Check it out!
Have you tried the Rapala Peto?
I have not. Thanks for watching!
Hey bud what is the make and model on that big green/green bucktail ? Thanks !
That's a Musky Mayhem Custom Big Bird! I ordered it on their website.
Those big swimbaits are def a problem , they hang up on the leader prob 80% of the time for me. So really i dont find them effective because they hang up so often they are never swimming back properly.
I have found that casting them like a heavy bull dawg, reduces that issue alot. Not perfect but it helps. I have also learned more on the smaller size one since the making of this video. Thanks for watching!
Do you have any tips for minimizing the front hook on the swimbait getting tangled with the leaders? Does one type of leader material tangle less with the front hook? Thanks
I like to use 130# flourocarbon leaders with the smaller snaps. That seams to help. I've noticed the hangups are more frequent casting into the wind and when doing a jerk pause retrieve.
You can buy smaller size treble hooks & put it on the front where the hitting was happening. Not expensive & the job looks professional.
what would u recomend for river muskies
River muskies are receive significantly less fishing pressure than most lake fish, which gives you alot of flexibility in baits. But for fall fishing, I'd have to go with big rubber baits that resemble the forage available in that river system.
What conditions do you normally notice the downsize vs upsize and vice versa
If water temps have cooled below 60 degrees and there is a late season warm up, that will typically throw fish off just like a big cold front in summer. That's when I choose to downsize... especially when throwing rubber.
What's the brand or name of that tackle box your using?
It's the Flambeau Outdoors Maximizer.
What's the best musky lure for heavy weeded lakes in fall
If the weeds are still green then I'd be throwing a bucktail just over the top of them at a slower speed than in summer. Once they turn brown and die back, then I'd throw a Suick or a Bobbie Bait and use a ripping retrieve.
Swimming Dawg does not work as well as the Posiden from Chaos Tackle.
I've never tried them. I'll have to give them a shot this year
They both work great. Fished a ton of paddle tails the past couple of years. Probably like the Poseidon more but I’m switching more to the exterior harness rigs like Svartzonkers and Eastfield baits. More versatile and when the bait gets trashed you’re just replacing the plastic and not the harness.
Please show bite marks on lures.
Please show me a video where anyone else is recommending lures that they use and "bite marks" in their lures. I could show plenty of baits that have these all important "bite marks" in them, however... as of this writing 3685 people dont care about bite marks. Why? Because I have plenty of videos and photos to support this video. Please feel free to look them over, thanks for watching!
