Turnover is a vague and highly variable term and condition. Can you relate these baits and usage to water temperature? I think that would help greatly and impart some concrete numbers for each bait or preferred situation.

All a person i think really has to know is at what temps the fish are active. If the surface temp is too warm fish baits that go deeper if the surface temp is that perfect temp fish shallow baits or surface baits. Also dependant on water body size. Lee tauchen couldnt have said it better hope this helps a bit. This also seems to work for all fish species this time of year.

wow, livebait fishing is just so cruel and ugly :(

Gösta Gös have you ever killed a bug with your foot, have you ever hit an animal with a car, you are just the same way. They get eaten in the wild too anyways and go through much more suffering so there’s no reason for you to say what you did.

Get outta here, Karen. I hate it when people like you click on this and b!tch about how killing animals is cruel. It happens in the wild everyday, and we humans kill insects by stomping on them and run animals into oblivion with our cars daily. It's not a problem then, is it? So why is it a big problem when live bait is thrown? Almost 100 percent of the time the live bait doesn't even feel itself get struck, especially with muskies and their sharp teeth.

Man that sucker thing bothers me a lot , the things suffocating well being stabbed , i could never do that , theres absolutely no difference between a musky and any other fish they are all living things.
