nice catch what would you recommend or what tips for choosing a spot at SAR do you have I’ve gone 5 times this year and I’ve gotten absolutely skunked. I love the content
I usually fish the from Casa Corner to the Pump House. The Bubble hole and the Nets are also popular spots. However, in these general areas some spots will produce more than others. It also matters if you are jigging or bait n' waiting. I only jig, drop shot and fish spoons so I pick my spots accordingly. I also change what I am throwing frequently. I have multiple rods set up for drop shot, mini jigs and spoons. Also I don't always get to choose the exact spot I want because as you know that line to get in gets long. Also bait selection, color and presentation all matter. If you ever run in to me there come and say hello, I always have my baits on me and can give samples of what's working for me. Good luck! how do you set your dropshot rig up brother i just cant catch fish at that place
Hello, I use my custom 2 1/4" split tail minnows. Usually a dark color on bottom hook and lighter color on top. For line I use 4 lb test Phenix iron feather braid and a 4 lb test Seaguar InvizX Fluorocarbon leader about 7 foot long. On the leader I use two #8 Owner Mosquito hooks spaced about 14" apart. I attach a 1/16 oz drop shot weight about 6-8" below the bottom hook. If you ever run into me at Sarl come and say hello I'd be happy to show you my setups. Fish on bro!!! Happy Thanksgiving! I usually change up spots. Sometimes spots will be on fire and sometimes not so much. Also the line gets pretty long so I don’t always get to choose. However, there are a ton of fish in that lake and with the right baits and presentation you can get them. Casa Corner to the pump house produces, also the bubble hole and the Nets are very popular. I am sure there are many others that produce and have seen toads caught all over the lake.
