Thanks for going into detail about how SoCAL folks be drop shotting for trout. It is not as popular of a technique up in northern CA, but I might have to shine some light on it up here.

Great video Estavan. The drop shot works really well in Southern California lakes. I used to live in Hesperia and moved to Vegas in 1992. I don't miss the cajon pass at all unless I go to California to visit.

I live about 30 minutes away but the crowds are too much. For the first time in my life I’m thinking about leaving Cali.

@@GoldenStateFishing I work during the week and rarely get a day off during the week. I haven’t gone out in a couple weeks, just not motivated to deal with the crowds. I was thinking of going somewhere tomorrow but I have no clue where to go. If I go somewhere that got stocked it will be crowded and get skunked if it was stocked the week before. I feel like snagging lines and getting in a fight like the local surfers do to keep kooks off their waves. I’m fed up bro.
@@skeptical-of-all1633 I feel you but there is places that are not as bad as other spots but that why I go to Nevada , Utah and eastern sierra.
@@GoldenStateFishingI went to bishop/mammoth at the end of last may. Couldn’t find parking at pleasant valley on the way in and drove around in circles but finally found parking at convict because it was raining and people left. But got skunked even though it was just stocked. Caught a few sinks in the stream below. One day I’d like to get to Nevada or Utah but I’m poor.

@@andrewoudinarath7618 it was out Black galaxy and el Diablo color it’s on the video . But what works today might not work tomorrow you always want a good variety to figure out what they want . The last 3 times of going there it’s been a totally different color that works .
What line is that?
It’s phenix iron feather braid but it’s discontinued but now we have our own braid sinister strand check it out on our website
How long should a leader be from braid to mini jig?
I use a 7-8ft leader

Trial and error. Got to try lots of different colors tell you figure out what they want 🎣
