Sorry for the choppy audio! Something happened on export, please forgive me UA-cam viewers!
I was just thinking that it was my device making the audio weird, riding makes it all forgiven 👍
No worries. This could be your best yet.
Platinum👍 Was one of my favorite trails for years. That step down just is just a beaut, so smooth and easy. Love living in the Woodlot area.
Great speed man, you guys were flying. Those features were insane, both the 20 footer and the other one landing on wood.
That fall on the skinny came out of nowhere! Hope it wasn't too painful.
Ya the features were a bit above my pay grade...for now.
That was an awesome ride, I'll have to film you next week when the weather is nice! Glad you're still in one piece after that crash. Even though I knew it was coming it was still hard to watch...
Ya it was awesome riding with such a big group. I didn't see that crash coming either, ha.
VanCan actually he said he saw it coming.
I am pleased as old shit today. Hit a four foot drop on that practice park on the way out to Thornhill!!!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love no the clickbait on the crash. Totally wasnt expecting it!
I wasn't expecting it either, lol
"Better to retire and save your aircraft than push a bad position....". Viper, Top Gun.
Yeah this trail is sometimes called cheap swill, not on trail forks so easy to think you’ve gotten on platinum instead.
Your footage is so inspiring. Showcases the trail, forest and riding beautifully.
Thanks!
Ouch. Front end followed that "log" at the end transitioning onto that bridge for the KO!
That drop actually flows pretty nicely, just looks super scary
Glad you’re okay man 👍🏼 I had to scream oh sh&@! At the end though I wasn’t expecting the crash 😲
Trail looks rad. The end.. made me gasp. Glad your ok.
Props to Ozibatla, aka Marcus and his homies for building these legendary stunts.
There's an even bigger, close to 40 ft drop on another trail in Woodlot just before the trail head of cheap swill. Great entertaining video!
Ya we went and took a look at some more drops, but no one sent those ones haha.
That drop is insane! 😱
I enjoyed watching. Thanks for the content
that slam ! made me jump aha ! love the second angle of the jump near end
VanCan+DaleStone+BCpov collab!
Surprised you went down there, wood looked pretty dry.
That’s what I thought, until I hit the ground
@@VanCan The design of that element caused that crash in my opinion. Why would you build it with an edge like that?! Probably happens to a lot of riders. unfortunately a feature that requires some speed (i guess) so its not ideal to have that poor element in front of it.
That explains why you got the new chesty mount lol. Glad your ok, that was insane speed
VanCan man! Great video, that trail network looks amazing and you hit some major features. Hopefully you didn't get too banged up from that slam at the end. Keep up the awesome work with the content!
Man, I thought you were gonna clip that tree at 4:43! There was no foreshadowing for that crash at the end either! That was a "Whoa, damn!" moment for sure. Glad you're ok :)
He almost hit the tree the first time on the roller gap. Then he went back, and got even closer to the tree the second time. Then he was coming in for run three, and I thought..."He'll probably miss the trail to the left this time." He landed that last one in the center. His bars must have been mm's from catching that tree.
Another cool video. Looks like your front tire just slid out on the edge of that wood; sucks when that happens, can't really prevent or predict it sometimes!
great riding:)
Thanks!
Great video man! Most be pure joy to shred BC...
It’s pretty awesome !
Those bar decals look sharp! Dirt looks insane as well!!!
Ya I'm liking it! And it was a great day!
The woodlot looks so good! Hopefully I can make it out this year!
It’s worth the trip for sure! Such a cool place.
Awesome tracks. Sweet riding!
Thanks!
brutal finish
I love the big drops
Sweet video. That trail is cheap swill not platinum. Platinum is a bit further down the powerlines. I am hoping to hit that drop this year but we will see 😬
Whoops. First time on the mountain.
@@VanCan no problem. Next time you should check out pbr. It's a good one.
Was gonna say the same. Before i saw the drop, i was thinking platinum had seen a lot of recent work. Which i think it may have, but last i checked it out (3-4 years ago) it was in disrepair, with the big gully bridge at the end uncrossable. @VanCan Unless it's been taken down, Blood donor had a slightly larger (30down,15out) road gap/ladder drop with a sketchier exit (steep tranny to a sharp turn) if the senders want more air time. That was a lifetime ago that I gazed upon it though.
@@gregmartens758 The Blood Donor gap is long gone.
Oaf! Wasn't expecting that fail at the end mate! Great vid tho, enjoyed that!
Ha ya me neither. Thanks!
Epic trail mate n the speed u guys are going 🤟 a year on =‘s some massive balls 🤟🤟
Ya it's pretty crazy!
Yikes Nic you never said you fell. Be careful! mom
Nice video! That trail looks amazing. Seeing loam like that and hearing the tires...is so odd to me, because everything here is hard with rock chirt. One of my next MTB vacations is going to be to the PNW for sure. I love this type of trail!
It’s worth a trip for sure!
that look like it hurt so bad lol on the wood like that!
Wasn’t fun ha
@@VanCan ... What happened there on that crash? Did you brake, because you were concerned it was a drop and were trying to stop? Was it slick and you just came in a little offline? I couldn't figure out what caused you to go OTB?? I'm glad you weren't hurt...those wooden bridges are notorious for breaking hands! It looked like you landed right on your gimbal....carnage?
Awesome stuff. Love woodlot! Subbed
Thanks!
Gonna have to check out this network next time I am over to the LMD!
Yup! Such a cool area!
good stuff Nic!
Thanks!
I’m sitting on the train watching this, as soon as you crashed at the end I made such a sound that 4 people looked round at me! Hope you’re alright dude!
haha yup still kicking!
VanCan good lad! 🙌🏻 A face full of cedar will definitely wake you up
That drop ain’t no joke!
Looks like so much fun. Glad your ok from that slam. How do I find this drop? Is it on a trail that’s on Trailforks?
I could watch hours of this
ouuuuuuchhhhhh...That's a good one, body's alright?
It’s still kickin
An unfortunate end to the video! Hope you and your gear is all good! Was a rad crew and a sick looking trail!
My gimbal is making some more noise than usual and I had to buy another chest mount, but other than that all good.
Bummer dude. Great vid tho! Thanks man.
All I've got to say about those wooden drops is hell no. Another great video dude, you've inspired me to book my holiday to Vancouver this summer, although as I'm bringing along my wife i won't be hitting anything like that.
Ya these were some serious features. That's awesome, Vancouver has an insane amount of riding.
Such a bummer you don't see people riding dh bikes anymore 😔
don't do that dude, scared the shit outta me!!
Hope that fall dind't hurt too much. But it's part of the game keep shredding
Felt a bit rough the rest of the day, but i'm back in action now!
When taking the ride around bites back
Ha tell me about it!
Glad u are ok biggest crash I've seen u take looking forward to seeing more great videos
7:55 made me jump
my heart jumped broo
Great video hope to colab with you one day! What gimbal do you use? I’ve been trying to shoot smoothly like this for a while
I'm using the Karma Grip, I like it but it's big
damn such a sick drop. think one day you'll hit it?
I think so, but I’ll probably bring the full face ha
man. i just need to move to Vanc.
Be warned, it’s expensive.
Hey I think I saw you over by Burnaby mountain yesterday. Would've said hi but I was in a car.
Haha ya could have been me
Love your videos, as does my Son. What go pro settings do you use?
I use Protune, -1EV, native WB, low sharpness, flat colour and then I colour correct in post.
This the same trail Jordan boostmaster rode this summer and it looked almost dead?
I mixed up the trails. This is actually Cheap Swill

Damn that’s crazy. My goal for 2019 is to clear wardens gap on fromme. This is on a whole new level.
I'd almost say wardens is more difficult than the drop here. The drop here has a solid run in and a smooth landing. Wardens is old school and looks rough on its best day.
VanCan yeah that’s true but wooden drop offs or even wooden features in general sketch me out for no apparent reason. I feel more comfortable with dirt gaps and such even if they are poorly managed.
If you watched to the end and didn't say oooooooooof to yourself it's probably never happened to you.
Those features are BIG!! question, maybe dumb, but how do these trail builders get the wood that far into the forest to build these features? EDIT, man that wipe out!! hope you are ok
They are in a forest, lots of wood around.
They usually get in from chopping up deadfall in the forest.
How is there no snow?
Townsend Brain global warming 🤷♂️
At about 1:04 did anyone else think at this point it was a drop and you’d run straight into the tree
Thats not platinum but its a fun one!
Those crashes are the worst 👎
I feel like you recorded this at 60fps and downscaled to 24. Its stuttering a lot.
Nope. 🤷♂️ do you mean the video or audio. Sometimes watching in chrome makes things choppy.
Massive crash at 8:35
poor cam :(
I know!
Worst thing about the crash was when it turned that dreadful Muzak on 🙉hope that never happens to me
Is this video horribly laggy for anyone else?
Do you mean the video or audio?
i understand your fear of the jumps but i cant stand when someone films a trail they cant ride or wont ride especially with features. whats the point? i want to see the trail rode as it was supposed to be. the guys didnt build that trail for everyone to ride the features!
Well those first wood features are an off-shoot of the trail we were on. We just went and checked them out and one of the guys decided to ride them. If you didn’t like the video that’s fine, but there’s more to riding than only showcasing your best, perfect runs.
GrizzlyAaron, You can ride all my features any time you want. 😘
GrizzlyAaron sounds like you need to start a UA-cam channel...
