  • Has anyone else heard of this trail centre? Cause I hadn't before checking it out with my wife Beth and her cousin Ryan last week. It'll be my new go-to for quick, fun laps in the Maple Ridge area! I run down part of "Thornstar" twice because it's just that good. Don't mind the bears!

    I doubt you’ll see this, but if you do - this is my home trail network, and like you said it’s amazing for progression. The builders up here have been super hard at work the past 3 years, and I bet you would barely recognize the trails. They flow so incredible well now and have amazing berms! If you end up coming back to Vancouver after Covid is over, I highly suggest another stop here!
    I also just shot a self filmed edit on OSR a couple weeks ago, I’ve posted it on my channel if you’d like to see how wicked this trail is now!

    Biked here today for the first time. Thornstar. Loved it. The gap jumps were a bit above my pay grade. But did the rest. That climb in +32C was brutal.

      @Zsxoul77 6 років тому

      OMG! Thanks for replying man! My only problem is I have a road instead of a mountain bike. Will it make that much of a difference if I get a Walmart bike vs an expensive bike from a bike store?

    • @TheLoamRanger
      @TheLoamRanger  6 років тому +1

      If you're going to ride a bike park, it's worth renting a good enduro or DH bike for the day. Low cost bikes are only built for riding down roads and smooth paths and can be pretty dangerous to ride on actual mountain bike trails! Have fun at the park this summer!

      Ya I saw some of those while riding the last trail -- looked rad. There was a sweet step down then step up that I want to hit next time I'm there. I think I'd want someone to tow me in though, so next time I'm around, hopefully we can set something up. Cheers!

      Man I would love to since i hit them all the time but I actually broke three bones in my neck at woodlot but i am expecting to get the neckbrace off in three weeks. So if your in the area of maple ridge during the fall I should be back to riding. Probably with a neckbrace haha

      Thanks! That's awesome to hear. The gloves I wear are from 100%. I can't remember the model, but if you search 100% bike gloves I'm sure you'll see them. They're the ones with no clasp/velcro around the wrist. Hope that helps!
