There are few greater comforts than that of wandering through an independent bookstore on a rainy day with no agenda, just curiosity. Oh how I love getting lost among my favorite characters and faraway places ✨
I had the best day exploring Powell's City of Books (the LARGEST independent Bookstore in the world), collecting books that you all have recommended and buying Mother's Day presents.

i’ve been student teaching online this semester and it’s the hardest thing i’ve ever done. something i’ve come to look forward to is seeing your bright sunny videos on friday mornings! it’s the one extra push of motivation i need to make it through one more week day. anyway, today is my last day!!
My heart goes out to teachers who are having to teach online. That in-person connection to students it a big part of what makes being a teacher so special. I hope that soon you can be with students in-person and that it's not so hard.

If you find the concept of The Toymaker to be amazing I'd recommend The Dollmaker of Krakow! It's a beautiful book and made me cry.

Thank you for this wonderful bookish vlog. I think bookshops are almost magical places. I just finished „The House in the Cerulean Sea“ and I loved it sooo much. I‘m pretty sure you will like it too. It‘s the second book this year that is an „all-time favourite“ for me; the first one was „The Midnight Library“ by Matt Haig, which I highly recommend.

Hi queen! A bookstore vlog is ALWAYS a winner in my mind. Journal choosing is hard for me because I want them all! I usually pick ones with a nice nature scene on the front 🥰 I’m super excited for you to read The House in the Cerulean Sea! It’s such a wholesome, feel-good story. I just read it last month and I already want to re-read it! I love that you and your mom are both into reading. I got my mom BACK into reading a couple of years ago and when I still lived close by I would make her read books after I would 🤣 now we just talk about them on the phone! Mansfeild park! What a fabululous read, definitely one of austens most interesting novels. Some history behind the setting of mansfeild park in case you were intrigued by the books cosy demeanour. Mansfeild park is based off of a real place in a sleepy village in the county of Northamptonshire in the English countryside. Jane austens brother whose name was; Henry Austen, was a british banker, and one of his most prestiged clients was the owner of this sleepy villages manor house. Henry mentioned this house to his novelist sister and thus the setting of mansfeild park was thought to have been created. This tiny village is called cottesbrooke and it is a five minute drive from where I live! If you give ‘cottesbrooke hall & gardens’ a google and tap on images, you’ll have a fabulous imagining of the setting of mansfeild park. Though the setting isn’t identical, as jane austen only had verbal descriptions and paintings to go off of, it is thought to have been the inspiration. I hope you found this dose of very random masnfeild knowledge interesting. I loved the video morgan, gorgeous as always, powells seems very worth a visit, and the amount of book recommendations you’ve given us all is sure to more than fill up our TBR list 📚 l also must mentiom that i love your skirt!

I loved going along with you to Powells while I drank my tea. I had to share with you my book finds from a thrift store yesterday! A rose in bloom by Louisa m. Alcott from the 1800s! As well as a falling apart treasure of hers with several of her works enclosed. I paid 2.25 each!! Can you see me jumping for joy? Ahhh books and tea!!

I'm so happy that Powell's is back open, I have missed them so much. I went last Sunday and went a bit overboard with books. But I regret nothing because most of them were for my collections that I wanted physical copies for anyways.

Love your selections for the moms in your life! Mansfield Park is my all time favorite Austen book. It touches on many important topics we still deal with today. Jane was woke, I love her so much. So glad you have a gorgeous copy now 🍂
AH YES, I completely agree about Jane!! She was just so familiar with human characteristics and had the most wonderful way of making fools of the most ridiculous or despicable characters.

Loved this one! Ps. There is always Sanditon by Jane Austen :) it was the novel she was working on before she died (she wrote eleven chapters and was finished by an Austen enthusiast) and BBC developed it into a show, too!

I have particularly loved butterflies since I was a child. I remember sitting in a meadow in front of my kids' playground 3 years ago. And for a few minutes now, I've been watching an orange butterfly. He came flying towards me and sat on my left breast. Oh that was a special moment for me that made me really happy. Maybe it was a bit magical.

That notebook selection would be heaven for me, having a notebook obsession as I do. Powell's reminds me so much of Chamberlins in Florida, which I miss so much since I moved to Arkansas, it just makes me want to go back and get lost in all the books again.

Oh my goshh! I got the house in the cerculean sea a few days ago from book depository and gosh i loved the cover so much and i just wanna read it so badly after reading the book i currently am reading! Its so nice to see you also having the book too though it this video was a month ago XD And damn im so jealous of the bookstore, the bookstores here are so small compared to that and all the once you visited in your videos! Anyway i love all the videos of you buying books from bookshops its always so calming and makes me wanna go buy and visit there! But i cant and all the bookshops here are just a few shelves here with the same few books filling up the shelf :( Anyway keep up with the your videos i love them all so much!!

Loved this!! Love watching book hauls. I admire your courage just to set up your camera and tripod and go for it! Although at one point it appeared you were filming across the road from Powell's and I have no idea how you did that?! I'm always scared to film anything in shops in case I get told off haha.

That copy of Mansfield Park is the same edition as I bought of Pride and Prejudice when I was about 13, devoured it over 2 days in summer, fell in love with Mr Darcy and never looked back.
