From book shopping to decorating to baking, this day was filled with all things cozy & a bit of whimsy too ✨ I was so glad to start the day off with some autumnal poetry and painting. Then, some quality time with a good friend followed by a rainy afternoon in Powell's book store-- what a DREAM (and finding a $10 copy of Magic Lessons!!). Decorating for fall was ~magical~ (I hope that particular part of the video makes you laugh :) and oh my goodness, those pumpkin bread muffins with maple butter drizzle!? EXQUISITE.
All and all, I'm so glad to have had such a heart-warming day and am really grateful to have this community to share it with-- thank you so very much for being here, friends ❤️

This was like watching my weekend play out before my eyes, before it’s even happened! I have a 3 day weekend & I’ve prepared a gluten-free sourdough starter so that I can make sourdough waffles & watch You’ve Got Mail (my favorite fall movie!). I even purchased a new autumn puzzle just for this weekend! Great minds think alike! 🍂

@@MorganLong I’ve actually thought about the sweaters, but (with it still feeling like summer here in Texas), I’d have to crank the air conditioner down, which would make the electric bill go up! I get away with that only on my birthday, lol! 😁 But someday, (hopefully soon!) I’ll actually experience an autumn that’s cool and colorful outside the house! ☺️🍂🍁

Ohhh i participated NaNoWriMo a few years ago. wish you all the fun and inspiration for writing and i'm really interested into your writing process, if youd like to share some days on your vlogs :) Finished book 2 3 days ago and can't wait to write a new one in my series - but i don't think i have the time for this years nano. dive back into apartement hunting, because they do refurbish the whole house next year. gladly, enough time to find a forever home lol, so creative juices are a bit low, but still on, while i'm plotting my final draft for book 3. can't wait to read some days something from you (which will be my first english fiction book i'm interested in :))

I also made it a goal of mine to not buy too many fall decorations and use more natural ones! I bought little tiny pumpkins at the farmers market.. they were SO pretty, all different shapes and sizes! I set them on my porch steps and came out the next day to them mutilated!! The neighborhood squirrels had a FANCY fall feast 😂

Omg. I worked inner/downtown Portland for years before moving in with my now-husband. Your vlog captured everything good about fall in Portland - Powell’s on Hawthorne, tea and snacks at Trader Joe’s, the hazy fall landscape creeping up from the fog…. I miss those walks so dearly. I worked in NW Portland for two years and the fall leaves with all those beautiful buildings and Elephants Delicatessen just up the street was a whole vibe. Thank you for sharing!
