Oh how I've missed getting lost among the stacks with my most favorite and familiar characters, melting boundaries of time and space ✨ Powell's is most definitely my happy place in Portland; I could easily spend multiple consecutive days exploring the never-ending maze of books. I'm so so so happy they're beginning to open their doors too casual browsing once more.

I've been rewatching a lot of your old vlogs and my favorite one is when you and Landon go to Powell's at night and give a little tour of the layout. It's so comforting to me, it makes me long for when I can go wander around a bookstore for as long as I want, without a mask on, surrounded by other people. Someday!

Hahaha it takes some SERIOUS self-control. Luckily, they have sooo many used copies of books so you get really good deals....still though, it adds up.
This video was my medicine this week. Spring keeps coming out for a second in the UK and then running and hiding away. My mood is so linked to the weather I feel like I am on a rollercoaster of emotions. Can't wait to have bare legs out in the sunshine again.

Sometimes it can be hard to make time for yourself when work, school or life gets in the way but I think it's important to normalize taking care of yourself and finding joy in simple things; like reading a good book. This video gave me strong 'first warm day after a long winter' vibes and I NEED that energy. Oh this was so nice, I felt like I was browsing in a Powell’s. I got to go there once in 2016 and oh my... I still have no words for how wonderful that shop is. We are in our 11th week of a strict lockdown and no bookshops are open. Luckily my local bookshop takes orders and drops the books to my apartment as I live so nearby, but I would do anything to browse! Interestingly, France considers bookshops an essential service that can stay open during lockdown. I think I agree!! Thanks for great recommendations, I am particularly looking forward to reading World of Wonders. Also, the quality of your videos is soooooo good. It’s like watching a short film.

Ooh, I've been meaning to read more of Devotions, and you reading it in the sun made it look so appealing. First I am so jealous of Powell's, it just looks so amazing. I think the closest thing we have ever had in Michigan was Borders in Ann Arbor, so sad when it closed. I'm new to your channel and your videos give me to much joy! I saw that you picked up and put back The Paris Library and it's funny because that's a book I would recommend to you 😅. The way the main character talks about the classics (Little Women etc) made me want to read them and I'm not usually a fan of classics. I personally loved the book. I recommend 😌
