Look really nice rods...strange guide spacings on them !? Masive gap from butt to first tip guide..prob me being too picky 😂
I think it's cause they can be used for both fixed spool and multiplier so it's Inbetween to accommodate both?!
Fishing Langney Point later this evening for a few hours. Wish us luck!
Hope it goes well fella - tight lines matey - fiiiiish on!

Historically I have always fished with 2 rods but it can be a pain if it's one of those (admittedly rare these days) busy nights, constantly rebaiting, casting, rebaiting, casting, etc, with alternate rods. I have been thinking of fishing with just one rod. O.K., the odds of catching are halved BUT I would have more time to "relax" between rebaiting, casting and the whole process starting again and more time to sit down, have a coffee, eat a pasty, go for a tiddle, etc. I noticed that you seem to be fishing with one rod more often these days. Is that a conscious decision on your part and if so any particular reason? Enjoyable video and at least you didn't blank which is always horrible when fishing a new rod for the first time (I mean blanking). Cheers. Ken
It depends what I'm targeting as to how many rods I use
If going for flats and just having a jolly 2 rods for sure
If I'm going for rays or bigger species I usually only use 1 rod and focus my all into that 1 rod
I love eating what I catch, when I catch it ....rarely. However your 100% correct on return. I understand that "doggies" especially suffer damage to organs that help them orientate in the water if carelessly returned from height , hence strandings after matches etc. so they should where possible be slipped back "easily".
100 percent
Its not good practice to launch fish back in carelessly really annoys me
If you don't want your feet to get wet then get wellies or waders!
Hi Jason,
Love your videos. Very informative. With regards to baits, I can often get hold of out of date sea bass fillets. Would they be of use with an attractant on them?
Regards,
Barry in Essex
Hi Barry mate thank you
I have never used them as bait so couldn't give any advice I'm afraid.
Give em a go tho and let me know if you do :)
Eazy jase that rod is brilliant, a few of my mates up here just got them. You can't beat a glass tip. All the best from GRIMSBY
The rod is fab mate really nice to use :)
Think you're right probably a conger although the earlier missed bite could've been a bass 😢
:( the two that got away 😭
Awesome again Jason did u watch John Locker last video the whiting he caught must have been on steroids.
I haven't seen it yet been non stop working but will have a look now :)
Hi Jason I have a akios 420 gtr air power surf I got mine from the ANGLERS DEN AND THINK ITS JUST AS GOOD WITH A MULTI PLIER ESPECIALLY THE AKIOS LITTLE BLACK KURO
Thanks for the recommendation
On the kuro
I have never cast a multi so if will be interesting to see what it's like as I will give it a go in the warmer months
The gtr rod from what I have used it for so far is really nice :)
