  • While changing oil on a Moto Guzzie V7 III is simple enough, there are a few tricks that will make it simpler yet. I will point these out along the way including the tools and parts you will need to complete the job, and one suggest part, while not essential, will make it simpler now and in the future.
    Happy traveling,
    John

Glad you liked it! I have uploaded a few items when I believe they may be of some help. If nothing else than to see how to do if your own way. I attempt to watch a video before attempting any project I undertake and so do the same for others. I am sure your oil change went well.

Pay attention that HIFLO HF178 ( is for old Harleys)that you show on the box is NOT COMPATIBLE with Moto Guzzi. Hiflo dont make any for the guzzi v7.

Thank you so much for making that correction. It shows up as a choice from Amazon when you ask for an oil filter for a 2017 V7, which of course we now know thanks to you is incorrect. Looking at the picture can fool one. It looks the same, so without your advice may have made a mistake. On close examination I can now see that it does not have the bolt extend through it. Best bet is to stay safe and use the UFI. I have used that model now for five times. Yep, over 30K miles.

@@johnverburg6318 I have saw at Amazon wrongly mentioned to fit our bikes. Yes its similar, but don't have the center holes to pass the screw and the filter itself is fatter.

Hi Jeff and thanks for the question. Perhaps another reader can answer this better than I. I have always used to 10/60. The 10/50 may well be fine in colder climates where the 10 range would be the same. When the engine is hotter the 60 weight would be a bit "thicker" than the 50.
