* they are refusing to release her album without a hit first

And according to people on this very thread and other threads, who have followed Saweetie for a while, she used to have more authentic music. I love fun music just as much as the next person, but she needs better producers or to sharpen her writing skills. Doechii’s “What it is” is a perfect example of fun, well-produced music. Chloe’s “Have Mercy” was great too. These songs have replay value. If you love these songs, then hey…enjoy them. I won’t knock you. Just stating my opinion.

This is the first time I ever seen Zach give a flop. Perhaps I haven’t watched him long enough. You had very valid points. Perhaps she is just fulfilling contractual obligations until she makes her next move. A lot of artists who aren’t happy with their contracts will release music merely to meet the terms of the contract-think about how artists release a greatest hits, then bounce to another label or craft a bigger deal.
