I bought myself the tea pot to match my wedding china on our 20th anniversary. I got it on ebay, it was the first item the seller had ever sold, she was all the way over in California, we enjoyed emailing each other to get that pot to the East coast! I love tea pots, have several family pots (alas, my sister got the one chocolate set!), & my grandmother’s percolator she got when she got married in 1936, beautiful art deco handle. Also a set of Kutani geisha ware with beautiful painting that was my great-grandmother’s. Love looking for pots when I’m thrifting.
this really brought back memories...I collected teapots for thirty years but finally sold in the 1990's, keeping about 6-8 to play with and use. Chipped ones make wonderful arrangements!
So glad to have found you. I have a modest collection of tea and coffee pots and cups. They are such lovely works of art. It makes me happy just to look at them and use different ones for tea.
@@LadyMaryBeth I have a H & C Schlaggenwald Teapot set on Ebay right now for 1500.00 super rare and beautiful. I cant even find replacements of this company. You have to see it tell me what you think.
I have been in the James Sadler shop at Heathrow Airport a few times and have some of his teapots plus lots of other brands and lovely old ones given to me by family and friends. They are beautiful, love yours.
I must have missed it. Have only been to the Harrod's store at Heathrow. We usually fly non-stop to Frankfurt. It's challenging to be a transit passenger in the UK. You could not pay me to do that again.
What a beautiful collection! I regret having got rid of my one teapot because invariably I heat up water in the microwave and pour it into a mug with a tea bag. I just don't have enough room in my house to collect more. Another use for a teapot is to store string in it and have the string come out through the spout.

Wow, that’s amazing to have 50 teapots in your collection. I had no idea how many I had until pulling them out for the segment. Must work on more holiday themed teapots. 😉
Hi Mary Beth, first time I have watched your video and I love teapots too! I am unable to choose a favorite from your collection because they are all beautiful! ❤🫖❤
I found an Old Britain Castles teapot like you have at the charity store of the Salvation Army few weeks ago. I'm not too much into one color landscape patterns but have few ones like Sunday Morning by Grindley,Blue Willow by Churchill,Landscape blue by Arabia and this one is the latest. The pattern is pretty beautiful but the shape is something I've never come across before. So I had to have it in my large ok ok huge collection. I also brought home with me from Paris yesterday an Alt Amsterdam coffee pot(same shape as Amapola I saw in another video from you) by Villeroy & Boch that I found at the Marché aux puces de saint-oven market and it's so beautiful. Elegant, modern yet has a older vibe to it. This market is a must for serious collectors. I think I spent over 4 hours there and I was always seeing something I missed you really have to look in every corners and take your time.
You have found some wonderful tea and coffee pots. It's always nice to find vintage Villeroy & Boch. I was in Paris a couple of weeks ago, but did not make it to the market. Would like to go to the Metz flea market sometime. It's about an hour from our home in Germany.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the teapots. I was surprised at how many I had after pulling from cabinets and cupboards. Some I display in my coffee & tea bar.
These are all lovely, Lady Mary Beth, and thank you for sharing them with us. A friend has the Wedgwood Wild Strawberry pattern, which is always beautiful. I have Wedgwood Jade, including the teapot in the same shape as your W.S. teapot. Those oval teapots commemorating anniversaries of Queen Elizabeth II are adorable. That reminds me, I saw an online shop that had a cup & saucer to commemorate the coronation of King Edward VIII (the British king who abdicated), but when I went to "click", I was too late. Wares with his name and likeness on them are rare. Thanks again.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful tea pot collection. My mother had a collection and I inherited it, I started adding some more pieces, but I definitely stopped because I only have two boys and only my single son likes old things. Also I live in the Phoenix area and there is too much dust and it gets everywhere, very difficult to handle the porcelain with fear of breaking it when you clean it. I have Meissen and Belleek, but I also have Lladro and Nao porcelain figures, carnival glass, uranium glass, murano glass and all works of art, so I only look for quality instead of quantity.

A lot of the the china and glass you mention you couldn't get rid of here...it's a dime a dozen. I liked the silver tea pots and purchased an Edwardian Era teapot on E Bay, it makes excellent tea
Hello Lady Mary Beth! I just bought one at a thrift store with the exact same shape and characteristics as the teapot from 9:40, the one you said you thought was American. It looks the same, like an Arthur Wood footed one from England. By the way, I have never met such an elegant lady and I wanted to thank you for teaching me so much with these videos!
Totally enjoyed this video. We both love china, crystal, silver, and all the lovely elements of gracious living, but your collections and uses are far beyond my humble table. 🥰 Absolutely inspired, Mary Beth!
From Houston too!! ❤️ Slowly starting my collection, currently only have a full collection of Royal Albert in Rose Confetti and starting into the 100 Years Collection from Royal Albert too!
Hello. My husband and I enjoyed watching your video on teapots. However, I couldn’t help but notice that the stops on the lids are positioned in the front, not the back . I worked for Wedgwood, and I can assure you that they are designed to be in the back. That way, when you pour , the stop holds the lid on the teapot. If the stop is in front, the lid is able to just roll off the pot . Of course, gently placing your hand or fingers on the lid is still a good practice. Thank you for sharing your teapot collection with us. Yours, Jayne
Will have to view the episode again. You have me thinking now. Was showcasing and not pouring. Loved my years at Waterford Wedgwood. Thanks for the tip.
I have FINALLY discovered a person who loves teapots (also coffee pots, crystal & china) as much as I do!!!! What a LOVELY collection! I have a deep affection for Queen Elizabeth II, so I understand why that particular teapot is your current favorite. I have been an Anglophile all my life, maiden name Browning, though I have never been to Great Britain, or England in particular. As I live in a condo, I have to be extremely particular about what I have the space to own. Still, we’re I to find some of those beauties on eBay, I don’t think I could have resisted. For personal tea parties do you do any of the cooking or food prep yourself or do you cater always?
Great to hear from you! We are definitely kindred spirits. When hosting tea in my home, I prepare the food. If it's German coffee hour, I bake traditional cakes. For an English tea, I make scones and a mock Devonshire cream (recipes on my website). I am not great at tea sandwiches since I don't enjoy them (odd, I know). Today, I am preparing 100 chocolate dipped strawberries for a friend's event. Hope you get to England someday. I have not been in years. We spend summers in Germany, but it still seems so far away when we are on the Continent.

I remember attending Princess House parties with my mother. My Grandma had the bird/sea turtle candy dish. Wonderful that your friend gifted you with this special teapot!
Beautiful collection! The peacock and the blue and white VB Burganland are my favorites. I have a question, I've noticed in some of your videos you've used a tea warmer underneath a teapot... I recently found a metal one at a thrift store that uses a tealight. Can these be used with any teapot? Does it matter if it's bone china, porcelain, etc? I don't want to damage any of my older ones, but do enjoy using them. Thanks for all the great videos!
A warmer can be used with any teapot, as long as it fits. Some are made to match a pattern and are not universal. Be sure to blow out the tea light if the pot is empty. It could leave a burn mark inside your teapot.

If a teapot is crazed, I add florals and create a lovely centerpiece. Most in my collection are ideal for serving hot tea or cocoa. I tend to use newer ones from Wedgwood and Villeroy & Boch. 🫖
Lady Mary Beth,I am exploring UA-cam,in search of tea-related videos, because I have recently cast away tea bags, and have devoted myself to strictly whole leaf tea. And I found your channel, and you are so truly graceful and elegant. I have a question and comment: What is your favorite tea,I would love to know! And my comment: I am a bit of a watch aficionado, and your watch is stunningly beautiful. It twinkles and glitters in the light,so enchanting!😊
Charles, somehow missed your comment. Finding it today, on International Tea Day. 🫖 Great to hear from you! I mostly enjoy the Paris blends from Harney & Sons and Mariage Frères. Earl Grey is also a favorite. Headed back to Germany next week and will shop for more tea.
Most of my teapots are bone china. They do not contain lead. It’s a type of porcelain created from bone ash, feldspathic material, and kaolin. The “faience” are transferware and not hand painted.
Temper your teapots! Just fill with hot water while you boil the water. Then pour the water out from the spout before placing your teabags and boiled water. This reduces the shock to your pots.
I often offer two types of tea, especially with younger guests. They might prefer a fruit tea over black tea. It's common to change teas with each course of an English afternoon tea.
British teaware definitely does deserve more appreciation! Glad to learn more from here!
Thanks for popping in for the teapots! 🫖❤️

A warmer can be used with any teapot, as long as it fits. Some are made to match a pattern and are not universal. Be sure to blow out the tea light if the pot is empty. It could leave a burn mark inside your teapot.
@@LadyMaryBeth Thank you so much! Looking forward to more videos.
Awesome collection! I always like the blue with the grecian figures on them. Where do you store all your beautiful collections?
Good question! I store things here, there, and everywhere. The key is to rotate collections.
Hello Lady Mary Beth!!! I'm so happy to find your channel. UA-cam suggested this particular video and I will be enjoying your channel during my spring break🎉🎉
Lovely collection of teapots!!! I do have a small collection as well!
Even though I enjoyed your video so much, I can't stop myself from asking about your gorgeous ring and necklace, it's quite exquisite!
Happy new subscriber here!!!
So glad to meet you here! Teapots are such fun to collect. 🫖❤️ My daughter is home on Spring Break and surprised me with a blue and white teapot from Andrea by Sadek. It was $6 at St. Vincent de Paul charity resale. 💙🤍 Hope you always take time for tea! ☕️ Enjoy your Spring Break!
Thanks for your kind comment. The jewelry ensemble is from

@@saramartinez103 Wishing you a wonderful week as well. 🥰
Do you have any Aynsley teapots in your collection?
Will work on acquiring an Aynsley teapot. 💖☕️
Do you use your tea pots? If so how do you use the old ones dont tbey contain lead? Do u test for the lead or do tou know somw compaines are safe ?
If a teapot is crazed, I add florals and create a lovely centerpiece. Most in my collection are ideal for serving hot tea or cocoa. I tend to use newer ones from Wedgwood and Villeroy & Boch. 🫖
@@LadyMaryBeth thank you so much ^__^
Lady Mary Beth,I am exploring UA-cam,in search of tea-related videos, because I have recently cast away tea bags, and have devoted myself to strictly whole leaf tea.
And I found your channel, and you are so truly graceful and elegant.
I have a question and comment:
What is your favorite tea,I would love to know!
I just had some whole leaf yellow tea, never tried that one before,it’s nice!
You could use teapots based on morning moods
Love your idea! 🫖
you are a true lady!
You honor me with your kind comment. 🥰
Do they contain lead, are they safe to use for tea?
Most of my teapots are bone china. They do not contain lead. It’s a type of porcelain created from bone ash, feldspathic material, and kaolin. The “faience” are transferware and not hand painted.
Thanks
Very interesting
Found a small R.S. Prussia teapot at an antique shop this week. Did not get (yet ?), but was an interesting one.
@@LadyMaryBeth I hope end up getting it.
Oh I really love teapots, sadly I cant buy since they're really pricey
I find them at thrift stores sometimes. Hope you find one for a deal.
Yes, thrift shops and estate sales.
The British Royal family uses straight up Herend, like other Royalty.
Tea pots with no lid can also be hung from a tree and make a bird nest
Love this idea! 🐦
💖
You have unoqe collection beautiful❤
Thank you so much!
Did you know the Norman invaders always carried a tea pot .
Thanks for sharing this tidbit from history! 🫖
Temper your teapots! Just fill with hot water while you boil the water. Then pour the water out from the spout before placing your teabags and boiled water. This reduces the shock to your pots.
Thanks for the teapot tip!
Wonderful~謝謝~♡♡♡
Thank you kindly! 🫖❤️
I have never heard of having more than one teapot on the table.
I often offer two types of tea, especially with younger guests. They might prefer a fruit tea over black tea. It's common to change teas with each course of an English afternoon tea.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👌🌹
