This is easily one of the very best UA-cam channels on watercolour painting. The knowledge you share so freely and always with a great sense of humor is greatly appreciated. Looking forward to seeing you soon reach 100k subscribers. You definitely deserve it Paul. Love your work and love your teaching style. Thanks a million.
Thank you so much Dion 😀
Because of you I've managed to go through a horrific time of grieving. I lost my dad two weeks later my brother. I ran into your video and decided to try to watercolor, fast forward one year, I have been painting ever since and faithfully follow your teachings. Thank you so much!!
Hi Michelle - I'm so sorry to hear that and so pleased I have helped in some way! - all the best and keep in touch!
Paul Clark you are one of a kind. I love your little skits with Margo. Sometimes I watch your videos just for the fun of it even if I don’t plan to paint the subject. You just make painting looks so fun. Thank you.
Glad you like them Ruth!
Paul, you are brilliant. I’ve been a pen & ink, black & white only for years, but your techniques will be transformative for my work. Thank you.
Great to hear!
Loved the animated line and wash ~ you’re very technologically savvy, sir ~ or maybe it’s that I am not. Margot’s thespian talent is also much admired. And thanks for the peek into your lovely trip. I’m sure everyone will have a glorious time.🙋🏼♀️💕
Wow, thank you Sharon!!
I've been seeing your name in some art groups on Facebook, and UA-cam recommended this video. I'm so glad! You have a new subscriber and admirer, I really love your style. Your number six stick made me laugh out loud, what a fantastic idea and the results speak for themselves. I love it all.
Awesome! Thank you Allie and welcome!!!!
Another brilliant project thank you. And it was indeed a lovely surprise to have another tutorial this week. Am heading for the garden to collect a number 6 stick !! Thanks Paul. We really appreciate your Watercolour Wednesdays. Brightens up my week.
Lol!!! great to hear!
I thought those two were typical Italian women from that little town!!!!(😁😁😂😂😂😂😂😂)
Love you and your wife!!!!!
SO BEAUTIFUL THAT WATERCOLOR PAINTING!!❤
LOVE IT! ❤LOVE IT! ❤!
LOVE IT!!!!❤
I always learn something from your videos and I thank you for it.
You too Lourdes!! 😁
Brilliant tutorial. Actually produced a painting I was pleased with. Many thanks Paul.
Great to hear Ron!
Thank you! I needed to practice drawing my perspective and buildings! Will also enjoy painting this and the learning.
Glad it was helpful!
I have great difficulties working wet in wet, cauliflowers forming everywhere but it does not happy when you do it. You are my favorite painter on youtube, I did 13 paintings of yours since last November when I start working on watercolour.
So nice of you = just lots of practice Linda and you'll get there!
Loved this painting. Thank you so much for your tutorials. I watch your videos atleast twice to learn the techniques, and then paint using the Pixabay picture as reference. The paintings turn out so beautifully. Thank You very much, Paul!
My pleasure 😊
The camera work on your vids has great zoom levels, love it when it goes right in, I can really appreciste the textures youre making.
Cheers Stu👍
PAUL!!!!! I finally did it! I was able to donate to Tip Jar. I did a monthly tip, not much, but it should buy you a beer or two! I will try to increase the amount after xmas. You GIVE SO MUCH. I HOPE OTHERS WILL DONATE FOR THIS GREAT AND FUN TEACHING!!! Thanks for teaching me! J
Thanks so much Joseph - it's very much appreciated!
It was great watching your line and wash and the Italian women. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it Sandy 👍
You make it look like a coloring book but you get to paint outside the lines. I love it. Thank you as always.
Thank you! Cheers!
I'm actually living in Italy, so i guess I MUST try this asap! Thanks for this beautiful demonstration ❤️
Please do! - what a great place to live Angie!
Fantastic line and wash painting love the lights and the colors
Fabulous thank you Paul
Glad you enjoyed it
I tried your Tuscan Village Ink & Wash. I put it on my instagram and tagged you along with this video. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Awesome! Thank you! - I'll check it out!!!
Lovely! I can feel the sunshine and hear the conversations ... Sigh 🤩👍😁
Glad you enjoyed it
I lost count how many times I went back to watch the segment of you and Margot as the 2 local ladies complaining about their husbands. LOL!!!! You 2 are a terrific duo!
Lol Paula - glad you enjoyed it! - it took us 4 attempts because we kept laughing!
I laugh so much also! And went back a few times too… hilarious!!!
Thanks a lot, Paul Clark.
I was so eagerly waiting for such demonstration and you came up with it.
You present the lessons in such a way that transform tricky subjects to manageable kind.
I heartily appreciate and admire your inputs.
You are welcome Rita!
Paul, you're such a pleasure to observe! You had me at the beverages while the paint dries LOL. But seriously, folks, your talent and your manner in which youconvey it is truly inspiring. I just love your style! I haven't watercolored in decades but I'm venturing out on a plein air workshop in Barga,Italy in May and will be bringing my watercolors and acrylics and hope to produce something to be proud of before I leave. Thanks to your tutorials I think I have a great head start. I just wanted to mention that I have a decent foundation in sumi-e Japanese ink painting and I'm excited to try using my inks and fine line brushes to incorporate a line drawing along with the washes! I'm just going for it....here goes!
Thanks so much and hope you enjoy your workshop!
This is going to be a great challenge but you make it look so easy and so doable.......thank you so much for sharing this tutorial and for infusing such humor! I always look forward to Wednesdays!
You can do it Lee!
Mr. Paul Clark, you are a wonderful teacher and human being thank you ever so much for your generosity and kindness.💐

Absolutely masterful. I have no words. 'A picture is worth a thousand words', and this one sure speaks for itself. Thank you, Paul, for this lovely one!

That was lovely. You make it look so easy. Thanks for the lesson.
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you for the new video lesson Sir Paul! I want to wish you good luck and health to our kind teacher Sir Paul!Like.....and please excuse me for the tedious long comments with which I tormented you....😊
Very kind of you as ever Adela!!!
@@ArtbyPaulClark Thank you, Sir Paul, for your prompt reply.I wasn't hoping for that..
Fab. Love Tuscan landscapes and buildings
Cheers Margaret!
😁😁😁I enjoyed watching the video more than you did making it, for sure. The special effects, the gossiping ladies and above all a very favourite technique, line and wash. Your colours look so bright and clean. And Tuscan looks as pretty and sunny as seen in the movies. I left watching the video till after Diwali as I wanted to enjoy it without interruptions. Thank you for the video. Wishing you all and fellow artists a very happy, successful and safe coming year. 🙏
Thank you so much 😁
Ok so your talent is exceptional but I am also enjoying the the videography skills! You have some amazing effects!
Glad you like them!
Wow, simply beautiful and amazing. You are such a joy to watch!
Wow, thank you!
Omg...your humor is top notch! And how convincing of a lady you make is frightening! 🤣
Your line and wash paintings and lessons are just so lovely!
Im new to watercolour, been graphite and ink liners for years so this water stuff is like alchemy to me. I had a proper break through today drawing a photo of a scene from little village near Udine, i used to live there. For the first time I'm happy with what I have done so far... im going to give it glazed layers tomorrow. So a massive thanks Paul! I've watched a ton of how to vids and been failing badly, then I start watching yours and I get it because you explain so well.
Cette une si belle technique et vous savez si bien nous l'expliquer. Merci Paul. A peindre pendant un voyage de vacances.
Merci Lydia!
I just love this one. It speaks to my soul
Great to hear Kim!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks a lot Paul! Always gorgeous!
My pleasure!
Not only did you provide us with one of my favorite paintings, especially as busy as you are right now, but you provided us with a costumed performance, and the glimpse of an art journey that seems like a dream! Thank you!
Thank you so much 😀
Love it! Always enjoy hearing your thoughts while you’re painting!
Thank you so much!
So far, I have painted with oil and acrylic. I started getting acquainted with watercolor in August, which was difficult at first because I have to paint in exactly the opposite order. A month ago, a friend of mine drew my attention to your videos. Since then, I’ve been painting your lessons with great pleasure, learning a lot from them and even improving my English. Thank you so much for making my videos about Hungary available to Eva
Wonderful! - thanks to you Eva and also to your friend!
Wonderful demo Paul. I'm going to get your book and have a good time! And I love the music. Thanks!
Great to hear Lynda - thanks!
Cannot get enough of your line & wash Videos!
Love it!
Thank you, again, for taking your time for helping us 🙏
You are so welcome!
beautiful painting
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you so much Paul! This is just the style of painting I aspire to do (I need loads more practice though!). I look forward to your Wednesday videos - thanks for continuing to do them
You are very welcome
Thank you! I like watching where on a brush you hold it. That's helps alot with the loose painting style.
Sounds like a wonderful holiday for those able to attend.
Glad it was helpful!
Did you say scorchio?! hahahaha 🤣. Excellent tutorial. Many thanks!
Excellent lessons on Limon wash and following you for sometime and attempting everyone I can find of yours thank you
My pleasure!
Must try this one. Lovely.
Please do!
You’re amazing. Thank you Paul! As others mentioned, I too wasn’t expecting a tutorial this week.
Happy to help! - managed to sneak this one in!!!
Hi Paul, I really enjoyed watching this tutorial and now I’m feeling inspired to “have a go”. 🖌🖌Your line and wash style is spot on and the colours perfect. 🖍🖊. Many thanks for filming another tutorial this week, it feels like an extra “bonus”. All the best from Joanne

graaaaaaaaazie mille, Signor Clark, per il video fantastico!
graaaaaaaaazie mille too Irina!
My first thought was that I know this picture from your book. And then of course you mentioned it yourself.
Stunning as always and I think in line and wash even a little bit more lovely than the one in your book. But that's just my opinion.
Wow, thank you!
Thank you so much for another inspiring tutorial. Always appreciated and love the encouragement and humour. :)
You are so welcome!
You have magic in your hands, very beautiful
Thank you so much 😀

Lovely! Love your ink and washes 💚
Thanks so much! 😊
Finally made me get my photos of Tuscany from 3 years ago and do a watercolour. Almost satisfied with it which is about normaL !! So thank you Paul.
Great to hear Pam!
Thank you so much for your time, Paul and Margot! Thank you for teaching me to paint! Thank you for your wonderful humor! You two are the best ❤️
Thank you too!
Hi Paul: only yesterday I realized that you’d found time for this charming tutorial - a wonderful surprise! I have sketched a Mexican church scene ready to try line and wash, have again watched past tutorials so this week’s painting is perfect. Again I thank you.
Thank you for watching Maureen!
I think this might be my favourite so far! I’ve been wanting to paint this from your book for a while and now it’s in my favourite line and wash 😃. Looking forward to giving it a go 🧑🎨🍷🇮🇹
Yay, thank you!🍷🇮🇹
I really admire your painting, way of teaching nad sens of humour. Thank you for your tutorials.
Thank you very much!
Hi Paul, thank you again for this tutorial. I certainly will paint this one. So nice!
You are very welcome
I've had your book for several years and have been watching your channel for several months, but it never clicked that you are the writer of that book! That's brilliant! I want to thank you for all your wonderful tutorials, both on paper and video. Your book stood at the start of my learning journey in art and watercolour, and now, several years later, your videos help me refine my skill. Absolutely wonderful work. Thank you 💖
Wow, thank you!
Loved the reminiscing whilst inking. And please let me join you for the character bits. Such fun and giggles
Great to hear thanks!
What I'm beginning to understand, is that I don't need to fill in every little section completely... the white gaps throughout the painting seem to create depth and add something I haven't yet identified... perhaps texture? I'm learning something new every day! Thanks Paul!
Hi Lynn - yes those little white gaps add that special touch!
Oohh..cant wait to try this!
Hope you like it!
Grazie for all your great tutorials. They are all amazing! Just coming back from Tuscany with the good intention to do watercolor painting of the beauty of Italie (🫣 - not enough time, too much to visit). I decided to watch your tuto to help me in starting few watercolor paintings from my numerous photos. No limoncello but maybe an Aperol Spritz. Ciao
Love this and going to give it a go over the weekend
Great to hear Nikki!
Really enjoyed this tutorial .. thanks Paul
Glad it was helpful!
Paul, as always , a great tutorial! You always have so many tips and tricks up your sleeve which makes every video so special. This one was so helpful reinforcing using the technique of wet on wet and dropping in colors so effectively. This is one of my favorites but do I say that every tutorial? Thanks so much for another fabulous Wednesday! 🎨
Thanks again Joanna!!
Amazing! I’m going to make an attempt at this beautiful painting. You’re a great instructor and so easy to listen to!
Thanks so much Mary 😊
