This is what I have been looking for... it's easy to find man cave construction, tips, tricks, and ideas but so much harder to look for elegance. Not that the traditional man cave is bad or lower class that is not if at all it's just a different esthetic; and thank the Lord that we have different people with different ideas, lest we all be bored out of our minds and never inspired, The nature of Victorian times of course was primarily the architecture amidst a backdrop of Europe preparing for the conflict that would be come to be known as World War I. Sherlock is a very deep character lots of layers and shapes that allow for a truly massive amount of different interior and exterior design choices. You both have done wonderful with this space! Bravo.
That's the difference between a house and a HOME. It takes, thought, time, money and energy but I see that you are so proud of it and think it was worth it! Wish more men felt this way.
I'm more of a study kind of guy rather than a man cave kind of guy. I'm into learning and knowledge waaay more than entertainment or sports. Thanks for the video. Gives me ideas for a future space.
you have a wonderfull place,i enjoy everyrhing that you shared and must say from what i saw you have a really really nice collection of books also,im happy that you informed everyone abou the tuck case list
that's a really nice study. I was watching the video and thinking "I can't believe he won't speak on that beautiful nixie and gramophone", good thing I was wrong on this lol. I like this kind of videos. you should do a video about yourself, letting us know things like where do you live, for how long you're interested in cards, what drew your attention into cards, these kind of stuff.
Big fan of the new and classic Sherlock shows! I think you have nailed the look! I just bought some pillows that would go with your design perfectly! They look much like that pillow you have with the flowers on it except blended into the pattern is two skulls that are actually kind of large but fit in so well that you don't really notice it right off. On the opposite side of the pillow there is a very nice picture of either a bat, raven or skull that are done in the block printing style that was used for publications until the 1950s. They are actually very well made and soft pillows and believe it or not we got them at Krogers/Payless in the Halloween section! Anywho, thanks for sharing your space with us!
Really love how your living room is designed. Looks awesome! I really love the clock, really looks like the divergence meter from steins gate. Want to get one for my room too.
I can just picture myself in that study relaxing with a decent single malt and a large antique hold all at my side ready to well never mind what that is for 😛 , suffice to say I admire your deck collection 😉, seriously I love that study it’s just so perfect and my surname is holmes so I would fit in just fine 🙂, happy to be a long time subscriber and happy to see your Chanel is starting to get the recognition it deserves 👍
OMG, that xenomorph skull is AWESOME!! And the breaking bad figurines!! too cool! And I also have much of my card collection on display among books in my study lol - something about leather bound books and shiny foiled tucks just seem to pair so well :D
The two things that impress me most would have to be: the fact that it reflects the two of you as one couple, and that you're able to make Victorian style home within the confines of an apartment. I grew up in an actual Victorian style home, and I live in an apartment. I never would have thought about merging both worlds. Well played my friend!
I like what you have done. I want to create a Victorian Gentleman's look for my home office/studio and I would appreciate any hints, tips or help you could offer
Anyone know the Gold deck at 3:20 ? I'd describe it as an Egyptian Carving inspired deck. I tried reverse image searching but I couldn't find it. Thank you!
The before and after shots are incredible. Going from an almost sterile environment to a true home feel is very inviting! You could enjoy a coffee while reading something from your well rounded collection or a nice Scotch while watching TV. Question.. how does the gramaphone sound with other types of music? I have a modern twist on a record player. It has a USB port so I can listen to my wife collection of music. Although it lacks the bass of modern speakers, the sounds come out clean and like music that came out from just before boom boxes came out. Yeah.. dated myself there.. lol.
Good morning Gentleman Wake, hoping everyone is well, beautiful room and a rather unique combination of looks that seem to accent each others ... Being a fan of Gerome I recognized "Markos Botsaris" immediately, I must confess that his rendition of "Diogenes", "Last Prayer of The Christian Martyrs" and "Gladiators" are among my favorites, but his beautiful "Madeleine Juliette" (Dolls) touches me like no other work of art ever has, he captures a sense of purity and innocence that is amazing ... on another note have you ever read Marvels very first graphic novel "The Death of Captain Mar-vel" excellent graphics and a wonderful story ... I know, I'm getting long winded again (I apologize) ... there is much more I would like to say about the collections in your collection, but for now a huge "thumbs up" to the Lady Wake for wonderful sense of expression (oh and yours as well) and as always thanks for sharing this wonderful look behind the scenes
Ah, now I'm actually really into Victorian Era stuff now. But damn, I can't even imagine how expensive it must have been to make your living room this elegant.
Though I love the room and its cool you did this buy15-20 minutes of a deck of cards but only 4 minutes of an entire room!! No wayyyyyy makkeeee it longer
I have to say the two of you definitely have good taste.. But to have that style of decor here where I am can be very costly.. One day sir one, one day
It is both a living room and a study. When living in an apartment you have to make due with what you've got. If the apartment is small, a room will have to do "double duty".

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Very impressive! Shows what you can do if you put your mind to it!

Wow! It looks magnificent, the small touches make it very exquisite!
Love it. I really love the book collections and the way you arranged your decks. Love it.
House decor 10/10
That’s very asthenic appealing for a background for video content!
It’s like chris Ramey style. But his more retro.
Great work!
Very underappreciated channel, bravo
it is growing :) started with less than 100 followers in april if I am not wrong
Very creative and beautiful! I appreciate when people put character and their real style into a personal space.
Very interesting content. Thanks for the bonus upload.
Thanks for the tour! It's such a unique space! I look forward to seeing your videos produced at the new location!
Simply amazing.
Both of you have great taste, not something that money could buy.
you have a wonderfull place,i enjoy everyrhing that you shared and must say from what i saw you have a really really nice collection of books
also,im happy that you informed everyone abou the tuck case list
The transformation is so cool! Imagine living in a apartment next to yours and visiting your room. That would be pretty crazy
Lovely home! It was great to see what is on the other side of the camera :D
Fantastic looking room
Very nice details. Defenitley I would like to have some of them for me! And thanks for this bonus video!
Dang! Outstanding!
Very nice Gent I love it my wife would hate it she is very much the minimalist but I like. Great video thanks 😎
Doug English I really like minimalist stuff too, but I think anyone could be won over by the luxury in this room!
Awesome place...and love the video light setup
Truly inspired by your study. Working on convincing the wife to redesign our office in a similar fashion. Thanks for the tour!
Nice!👍😎 Thanks for the tour!😁
that's a really nice study. I was watching the video and thinking "I can't believe he won't speak on that beautiful nixie and gramophone", good thing I was wrong on this lol. I like this kind of videos. you should do a video about yourself, letting us know things like where do you live, for how long you're interested in cards, what drew your attention into cards, these kind of stuff.
this decoration is really something else! my respects!
its funny how you describe your study as a playing card review! its nice to see your home!!

I'm sure TheGentlemanWake would not what it is without this visually-stunning "studio"
Really love how your living room is designed. Looks awesome! I really love the clock, really looks like the divergence meter from steins gate. Want to get one for my room too.
You did a marvelous job!
Wow this is an apartment??
You have the extra stuff that gives your place 10/10 👌👌☝🏻
So the landlord let you paint the walls?
A lot of times the landlords don't care, just as long as you paint it back before you leave.
Most landlords let you paint. We repaint between tenants anyway.
Nice Tour, Love it
I can just picture myself in that study relaxing with a decent single malt and a large antique hold all at my side ready to well never mind what that is for 😛 , suffice to say I admire your deck collection 😉, seriously I love that study it’s just so perfect and my surname is holmes so I would fit in just fine 🙂, happy to be a long time subscriber and happy to see your Chanel is starting to get the recognition it deserves 👍
Awesome spot
Absolutely gorgeous
Oh man this is manly cozy!
Awesome man! I need a Xenomorph skull ASAP.
I FREAKING LOVE YOUR LIVING ROOM AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
OMG, that xenomorph skull is AWESOME!! And the breaking bad figurines!! too cool! And I also have much of my card collection on display among books in my study lol - something about leather bound books and shiny foiled tucks just seem to pair so well :D
Great layout! Chris Ramsay has competition 🤫
Awesome place man!!!
I’m to really a fan of this stile. I prefer a more modern one. But even not being my favorite. I gotta say your did a great job
Definitely a perfect place for cinematic card reviews =)

really cool Mr. Wake :)
Do u remember the wall stencil pattern name or number by any chance?
great job
Thanks Gregory!
Six hours later... that wall came to be. 😂 I’ll need a drink for round two! Lol.
Are the rugs flat weave or regular type? The whole room looks lovely. Im interested to know how you would do a bedroom in a similar Victorian vibe.
I like what you have done. I want to create a Victorian Gentleman's look for my home office/studio and I would appreciate any hints, tips or help you could offer
Like this type of content !!
Very cool.👍
I really wanna do this when I buy an apartment

What is the clock called? How did you do the painting on the walls?
From one Marvel Zombie to another, Cheers!

What colors did you use for the walls? Can't figure it if it's blue or grey?
Where do you buy the leatherbound books from?
Ah, now I'm actually really into Victorian Era stuff now. But damn, I can't even imagine how expensive it must have been to make your living room this elegant.
yeah i have a question, can i come and live there with you?
I just got myself to set up a bed frame after 3 months I could never do all that
where did you get the wallpaper
What song did you play on your gramophone? I really like it. PS I love what you guys put together its badass.
Though I love the room and its cool you did this buy15-20 minutes of a deck of cards but only 4 minutes of an entire room!! No wayyyyyy makkeeee it longer

Oh ! My friend you do not need a variety of these physical things only you need is your spritually strong mind

Noice! How many murder mistery dinners did you host already? :)
...wheres the galvanized square steel? Or the eco friendly wood vaneer? My world has been turned upside down!!!
Seeing the instagram story of the wall been painted white, a few days back, I'm worried abt this place
can tell me name wallpaper or end me link
✌
I think the union jack pillow is a bit out of place
Sherlock has one in his flat tho!
Yeah but the bright colours looked a bit wierd with the wheatered look
Now that is a great design. So does your place have a "she" room? Not that I care as I am single right now. And probably always will be. 😁😁😁 Love it
Following up quick! (1st Comment)
ah, so it was a woman's touch that brought the living room to life!
To be honest i very love with marvel movie ,and iron man is my favorite one of superheroes
What I love about Dark Academia is that it incorporates both Feminine and Masculine elements 😊
Ya need a bunch of Bibles and philosophy/political (conservative) books.
Very nice and course... no woman are indeed allowed in ?
I have to say the two of you definitely have good taste.. But to have that style of decor here where I am can be very costly.. One day sir one, one day
That's a living room bruh. Not a study

Yeet
Just ashame about the union jack 🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
great job
