Dave you introduced me to timeless, and I got a mix. I got the titanium handle, and titanium scalloped top cap then added the .95 scalloped and open comb SS base plate to add weight. All of it polished, and It’s perfection in my opinion. Thank you.! It’s now the only non adjustable I use the rest are a collection of adjustable.
Good stuff! Thanks for all your support
Do you know what the total weight of your razor is with the ss oc baseplate and the ti scalloped top cap on the ti handle (normal length presumably)? Is is slightly top heavy?
Not too heavy at all and I will weigh it and post for you
On there website you can build your razor and add the weight per piece
The scalloped titanium cap and titanium trh6 handle with the stainless steel baseplate weighs 88 grams.
While I don't shave my head I have started shaving the back of my neck. My barber noticed the change the next trip. Used to have him shave my neck with a straight razor but now no need. Thanks for a great review.
That’s awesome. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Holding the razor still and rotating the head is something I never did until I saw you do it a long time ago. Killer tip right there. I also go the other way as well by almost pushing the razor backward across my head. That tends to get almost everything except for the "credit card slot" back there xD Awesome double shave David.
Thanks brother. Did you get any sales from the video I did using your shaving soaps?
@@OhioShaves Absolutely we did! We've been getting busier and busier and the month of June was our busiest yet! We don't run any ads or pay anyone to push our stuff, so a large large piece of that has to have come from your video! I do wish we had setup some sort of code or something to track it, but the past is the past. Maybe we can do something a bit bigger and more official some time in the future! We appreciate you over here David, and continue to watch all of the videos you put out. Love the hard work and love the continued appreciation for and from the wet shaving community. Keep on keeping on brother!
PS how has your golf game been going since your surgery?

If Timeless is having a sale this coming week, check out the Timeless Aluminum, it's a great shaver as well!
Sure is
David, I just received my first Timeless SS razor with all 3 bases, 2 top caps and the stand (polished). I had my first shave just yesterday with the 68 scalloped head…the Drommedaris tallow-based soap and an AccuForge blade. Whoa…I didn’t want the shave to end!! I can’t say enough about Timeless (a made-in-the USA masterpiece that would make NASA jealous)…the US-made blade and a stupidly-good, luxuriously slick lather. You-da-man…LOL. Cheers.
Thanks for sharing! Good Read
Finally pulled the trigger on the Timeless Ti 68 because of your video and the 10% discount pro tip that you threw in there. Used your link so hopefully you benefit from it. Thanks for the great content!
Great to hear! Thanks for your support
Incredible video! Love the quality and the angles that you show in all the clips!
Thanks a ton!
It looks like a pretty efficient ravor, yet not to aggressive.
Have a great holiday week, Dave!
Thanks, you too!
Looks like a good razor thanks for the review. I got with Thayers snow mushroom in the winter a little goes a long way.
Yes it does!
Your skills in making videos have leveled up for sure. Damn good. How long do you have to edit a video to make it this good? That shave looked so smooth. EDM machine is just crazy we use those machines to make cooling channels in jet turbine blades.
Crazy good machining. Takes me about 30 hours for one video
@@OhioShaves Great skill and greater patience!
Proraso is great! I have the white Proraso, that’s a nice small razor for shaving the head
👍 Right on
Great video! Love the head and face combos! From one bald brother to another.....
Hey, thanks brother
Great shave, David! Thank you! Happy 4th.
Thanks! You too!
Great videos been learning a lot from them. Quick question if you could only have one safety razor which one would it be?

Wow! What a great set up my friend. I will have to get that open for my Timeless Slim. BTW I love the lather helmet.
Thanks bro
Great vid. Glad to see a head shave.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great shaving tips Dave especially for head shavers!! Good to see a DE head shave tho… it’s a bit of a learning curve, that was an awesome shave!! Have a great day😃
Thanks Justin 💈👍
That is a nice little razor. Does it come with a choice of ordering a longer handle ?
That would be the 📦Ti95 BYOR Safety Razor: timelessrazor.com/products/tibyor-build-your-own-titanium-double-edge-safety-razor-starting-at-230?rs_ref=giTOaqy8
Great video Dave! I know you have said before that you had preferred a closed comb but has timeless changed your opinion on that? Happy independence day! Merica!!!
Yes. This razor is crazy good. Best shave. Come on Merica 🎆
Can you tell me the length of the handle in mm, please? The link in your video only takes me to build your own razor. And nothing on the Timeless website is listed as a TI95 or travel razor.
90 mm x 14 mm
Hi brother can you do a video or tell me if you have tested before like astra platinum vs gillete platinum which is sharper and smooth? Or have you tested before
The Gillette is sharper than the Astra but the are great for everyday shaves or pairs with an aggressive razor very well for me. The new Astra blades made in India are a bit sharper for me. They feel close to a Gillette silver blue
Great shave Dave! This Timeless Ti 95 Open comb sounds really efficient yet smooth. How does it compare to the Rockwell 6s in blade feel ? does it have much more blade feel than the R6 plate ?
Smoother than the 6 plate
Super stuff Dave
Thank you much
I didn't head shave yet. But, if I go that route I know who I'll watch and ask for advice from.
Thank you much
Hi. Would you be up for doing a 6s vs Timeless Titanium SB .95 comparison?
Sure
@@OhioShaves brilliant thank you
If I saw correctly, you have two timeless razors, both with scalloped top caps; one with a scalloped base, and the other open comb.
Do you find you get better results with the scalloped top cap than a plain one?
The short travel handle for head shaving is interesting. Some head shavers actually prefer longer handles, but I suppose the size of one's hands may play into that preference.
I do like having an alum block on hand. It is a very useful instructional tool to reveal the truth of my technique and execution. But, I don't use it every day, only when I see blood or am trying something new.
Thanks for sharing the hardware, the tips, and the techniques.
I can’t really tell the difference between the top caps. The polishing that timeless does on the Razors is off the charts smooth.
U know a good oil to shave and aftershave for men i dont wanna use cream but oil thats good for skin and aftershave to nourish
I have very course hair and need something to help lift the hairs. Do you shave everyday?
Hi did you test out any Yaqi razors? Looking down the video list I didn’t see any. I live in Asia and most of the razors I can get are Chinese. Also the blades like the Gillette London bridge or the feather are the blades that are redly available here. Feathers leave my skin dry and irritated so I choose the Gillette. Find it much more forgiving.
They have never contacted me to do a review
Love my R41 but yes gotta be very careful with it
💯
Do a video with the Razorock 37c razor. And then tell us if you still think the Timeless is the smoothest razor.
Have you used a Timeless Razor yet?
@@OhioShaves I've owned a Timeless stainless steel .68, I've owned a Timeless titanium .95 with 3 plates, slim, .95 straight bar, .95 open comb. I've also owned the Timeless bronze .38, and the Timeless aluminum. Do a video please with the Razorock 37c and just give your honest opinion.
What is the difference between the Ti68 and Ti95?
Blade Gap
How do you all dispose/recycle your used blades?
A razor blades dispenser
Thank you
Damn I havent shaved head for months, gotta get back on it, have you tried mamba bbs or 70?
I haven’t. Love this setup
@@OhioShaves you will love the BBS, trust mee
Man imma start to shave with oil i keep cutting myself little micro cuts
Try a sharper blade
Basic guidance is, *mild razor* ; and whatever further suggestions that Ohio Shaves says. You may need to try *different* blades.
@10floz30minutes it's a proof razor it's good but around my neck is where I bleed I use nivea with brush n cremo I think I need to try pure oil one that won't clog razor
They are sending out a whiskey razor to me this week. I will do a review of it in the next couple of weeks.
I should not shave against the hair ? Idk i dont see you shave against the hair ?
Aw now you did
I do one pass with the grain and one pass against the grain.
It takes me 75 seconds to bowl lather and make a ton of lather. Consistent lather every time. It takes me longer to face lather.
💈👍 Whatever works for you, brother
If that then you're the Bowl Lather Master. I had been strictly bowl-lather making for head shaves, about two years and for sure, requires a bit of time (for most of us). I no longer use strictly bowl-lather for head shaves but now often start the process in a bowl but continue with creating a head-lather. Ordinarily I need at least 10 minutes to make a bowl lather. I do not add all the water at once.
I don’t have the patience to spend 10 minutes bowl lathering. From measuring the soap, adding water, and creating a lather, I can do it in about 3 minutes.
@@robertross8565 I know how much soap to use and how much water to use for preparing a bowl lather, but I am still afraid of overshooting the amount of water. Along with that, I almost always measure the soap visually but without using any precise volume measurer.
I now use 1/32 tsp of soap to 1/2 Tbsp of distilled water. Agitate vigorously for 75 seconds. Job done.
Frustration with the barbers - that can be a reason for some who shave their head. We each have our story.
💈👍
@deadman8512, he is not saying these be the only acceptable options. This goes for razors and also this goes for blades. You will find plenty to learn at Ohio Shaves channel and also on other youtube channels which feature wet-shaving.
Bro you are really under hydrating you're lather. Look up "Precision loading for a perfect lather"
all good
