Quick update - Due to the flood on I-75 and 41 I wasn't able to make it back down this weekend. I am hoping to make it down soon. Also, with the overwhelming response and requests I will be taking photos of the entire yard and posting them on my website when I finally make it back to the yard.
Thank you for your efforts, very much appreciated here in New England. Had planned to splash 2 November but it looks like an insurmountable task to sort out all the boats on the deck.
Perfectly understandable that you described Gasparilla Marina as "destroyed". From the street it would have been impossible to view most of the buildings and boats. A video has been posted showing very little damage at Gasparilla Marina as well as little to no damage to boats in the water. The storage building appear to have suffered little damage. There was an old work shed on the north side of the marina and that was totally destroyed. Boats under the shed were also severely damaged. But it appears ninety percent of the boats there suffered no harm. Interestingly only one sailboat appears in the photos. ' Sailboats on strut supports have too high a center of gravity, resulting in tipping during high winds. Catamarans appeared to have done quite well as did boats with a full keel. Trawlers and motor yachts also appears to suffer little damage. But sailboats on supports, a sad tale for most.
Thank you so much for doing this on your own. For us who's out of the state it gives us a little piece of mind to see what's going on thank you again. My boat was under the large cover. If you could fly over that covers it'd be great thanks again
Here's to wishing you guys down in the State of FL only good things. Wish I could help. I am a disabled army retiree. We were looking to buy a blue water sail boat but now not so sure. I will offer this. Nothing last forever not even bad times. GOD bless and good luck.
Thank you so much! We can see SV Red Ranger on her side, but clearly see the masts are straight. We really appreciate you taking the time and expense to do this for those of us who are farther away.
Thank you, thank you. We are in Jackson, WY and this is the first look we have of our boat. If you have a chance to video more our boat is a Brewer 44 named Magic. If you stop at 1:20 and count 6 rows of boats from the boat yard driveway, you can see Magic's stern. She is on the grass, leaning to the starboard, white hull and light blue bottom paint. Looks like she is 6 boats from the tree line. If you have a chance to video more we would appreciate a closer look. Again thank you for this great service and good luck with your boat.
Hello Sea Cowboy! Thank you for your time and effort to show us Safe Cove after disaster. Sorry for your boat, as well as others… Hope, soon we will be able to take care of our love ones in Safe Cove. If you have a chance when you get there, please take a look on the long storage area. My sailboat name Sail La Vie. It is Belliure 41’ Unfortunately I left Bimini and dodger, Tuscan orange color. Appreciate any info.
THANK YOU, Sea Cowboy! You are so kind to do this for all of us that can't get there right away. We understand that no-one is allowed inside, so this is allowing us to get a glimpse of our boats. When/if you get more details on Carol Dennison's It's a Dream, we're just next to her starboard side; ours is Sisserou. We can't tell if they fell onto us or if their mast kissed ours, and if ours kissed the one to our right which is Spill the Wine. 3 Island Packets in a row. Right at the beginning of this video on right side. We are all 2nd, 3rd and 4th in that row. Just inside that gate. I hope we get to meet you to thank you personally. Liz & Richard. IP485, Sisserou. Just purchased in February and just completed 7 month refit. : (
Thank you. Yours is the first video we have seen where we could positively identify our boat. If you are standing on Winborough facing the office, we are in the fourth line of vessels to the left of the office. There is a green hulled boat with yellow topsides to our port which we appear to be leaning against. We are the last boat in the row closest to Winborough with the remains of our sun tarps still hanging. Our boat Mystic is a white hulled Mariner 38 trawler. Can't really assess damage from the video. Any further video or pictures you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Bill
Thank you, Sea Cowboy! Our 40' Mainship Trawler-Endeavor- is just south of the office. We will be leaving Texas as soon as the yard opens but would love to get a better idea of the status of our boat.
Hi. Thanks for doing this. We have a Catalina 320. New name is Elyse II . May still have Mary Dory on it. About the 5-6th boat directly behind the main office. Any info is really appreciated. Hope your boat will be ok. Sandra
Thanks again. Do you work for safe cove? Our boat is about the 5 or 6 dire toy behind the office. No name on it...I was ready to rename and launch my new...to me...boat Also I would like to contribute to your boat fund... your efforts are indeed priceless.
I have a boat in the yard if you could get video for me because I’m up in CT. Thank you so much for what you are doing. It’s a 38ft sailboat named Manana.
Thank you for posting this as we have a sailboat at Safe Cove. In your video you were just about to reach our boat and I saw a mast from the bottom spreaders to the mast head. Any way our boat is Autumn Breeze, 310 Catalina. It was stored just behind the office building, in the west row of two rows. It is adjacent to one of the covered buildings that was destroyed. It was stored "bow in". I appreciate anything you can show Don
Thank you for this. I’m sorry to hear your boat was damaged. Ours is SV Moon Dragon, by the community room. We know she’s on her side between two others.
Hi Sea Cowboy - thanks so much for helping out with some video. Those of us at distance are eager for some news... Our boat is 3Cats in the "south lane" of the row extending east from the office. We can see that our mast is broken in two places - but of more immediate concern is whether the deck or hull is breached and water may be getting in. Like so many others - we'd be very appreciative if you or anyone could some how get some more detailed photos or videos of our boat. Thanks again - Ann
Hello. Thanks for the video. If you make it back to Safe Cove; my boat is next to the office (orange kayak on the bow). Very curious how she is; was getting ready to take her out. Then Ian. Take care, be safe.
Hello Best To you and your family during this trying time and thank you so much Sea Cowboy, for the overview Video of safe cove, For your willingness to make this available for us at the yard During this difficult time. Sorry about the damage your boat sustained. Positive thoughts And prayers for You end everyone everyone at safe cove and Southwest Florida. If you're able to make it back and Can make the time , I would appreciate a video around Mariposa a Gemini 105MC Catameran. She is located in their North West area of a lot, Basically North North of the office. 3rd row from the North end fence, Charlotte Harbor Storage boundary fence, She is At the East end of that 3rd row and Right on the North South lane /drive that feeds all the East West Storage rows. I know you're dealing with a lot. Greatly greatly appreciate if you could make the time, if you make the trip. Greatly appreciate you and your spirit and willingness to contribute to others. That's awesome ! d./ Cowboy Sailor Mariposa Gem 105MC, new owner - Charlotte Harbor SWF
Thank you for going out there, taking the time and thinking of others. We are in the far back right by the take out, a Catalina 30 "Adios" . We are not in state, so this is much appreciated. Thanks again!
Thanks for the vid. Didn't get a good look at our boat but your video did show that it might be still upright. Being in Canada we can only rely on these video's for information. The yard as a whole was hit pretty hard!
Hey Sea Cowboy, thanks for posting this. My boat is in the row directly behind the office building. It's an Albin Trawler. Quest, Portland Maine. Check out some of my vids to see what it looks like. If you get back over there and could snap some pics, that would be great! From what I can see, she is still on the stands.. Stay safe, and thanks again!
Thanks for giving us a look at Safe Cove. So sorry to hear about the damage to your sailboat...It is a pretty sickening feeling to see your own boat in that condition...I also have a boat there that I was wondering if you could shoot some footage of. It is a 23 ft Sea Ray Laguna center console with twin mercury outboards. It is located under what was one of the covered storage canopies along the south fence line near the launch ramp..it is located under the second canopy closest to the launch ramp.. I can see from NOAA post ian aerials that the blue mooring cover is partially off. It is on a tandem axle trailer...any info you can provide would be helpful...thanks so much for the info you have shared!
CARIBBEAN BREEZE was our boat neighbor at MOSS MARINE, we are sorry to see her so impacted. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. If you get there again we would appreciate very much a close up of our boat LA FINLANDESA, she is in the 3rd row north of you in front of a tree that blocks her view from the north.
Thank you for doing the video. we would appreciate a close up of sailing vessel Kimberly which is just aft of Caribbean breeze if you get back in there again. She's right along the entry fence.
Thank you for this video. I can see spinlandia across from the front gate on her side but mast looks good. Maybe she’ll be ok. I am deeply sorry for the loss of some of the other boats.
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this video. so very kind of you!!We would love a look at the John deer green with gold lines, named EVIANA a monohull motorsailor schucker 431. She stands towards the front fence perpendicular to the fence second one into that row in hurricane strapped area... We are wondering if the boat next to her has fallen on top of EVIANNA and done damage or not. If you have the capability to walk around our boat for a closer look We would very much appreciate it.. We thank so much!
As soon as I can make it out, I would be happy to. Hoping I can make it out this weekend and that there’s cell service there so the drone can get off the ground.
Thank you so much!!! This is excellent information. If you have a chance please take more details of the boats in the front row facing the road. One of the boats is dismasted and mine is next to her. Great job!
Would it be possible to fly over the area where the covered storage is? I have a Dragonfly trimaran that was next to one of the covered storage structures and I would like to find out if it was damaged as I live in another state and will not be able to come down until later in the year to see it in person. Thanks in advance.
Thank you Sea Cowboy. I am so sorry about your loss. I do have a question - My Boat (Sea Otter) is there. I think I am at the pond (side that is closest to the owner's laundry/bathroom facility. I know my boat has a broken mast and I am on my side. My insurance adjuster comes Nov 2nd. Do you think owners will be allowed in? Can you take a look around the pond and see if you can see my boat. Mast and rigging is broken.
Thank you for taking this video. My property is about a half-mile east of the boatyards just off the main canal that leads to the yards. I've kept my boats, over the years, at each of the marinas as well as my own lot. Sorry to hear your boat was damaged. Isn't it interesting how the trawlers and catamarans appear undamaged and undisturbed.
Thanks so much for this! It’s the “not knowing” that’s so hard when you’re a few thousand miles away! Not sure of placement, but if you see a Beneteau 331 “Miller Time” (keel centerboard with twin shallow rudders) let me know. Thanks so much!
Thank you for giving me a hint of the destruction around my sailboat. If you do another flyover, s/v Madrigal was located to the west of the bathrooms , backed up against one of large boat covers. I’d love to see that area of the yard and learn what I’m facing. She’s a 32’ Allied Seawind ketch - off white with maroon trim. Sails and boom were removed prior to the storm.
Thank you SO much for doing this!! I’m happy to send you $ for gas and your time! My boat is right at the end of the pavement where the gravel begins. She has no name on her hull and she’s laying on her port side. Catalina MK II.
So sorry about your boat and all others. We are all having anxiety waiting for some word. Any chance you could help with info about the covered boats on trailers? Safe Cove not very helpful. Their website shows one video from a week ago. No updates.
Thank you, thank you and thank you again!! Our Island Packet 40 is right near where you started your drone flight, 4th boat in on the right. Called "It's a Dream". We just bought her in July this year. Would love a close up if you fly by again.
Thank you for doing this video. My boat is center of frame at the 1 minute mark with the 3 solar panels. If you fly again please see if you can get a shot of the standing rigging. I don't think the port side of the hull is on the ground based on the angle. If we are at the yard at the same time I will grill you some beef.
Thank you for the video Sea Cowboy. On your next visit, can you please try to get some images of "Motu," a 44' Cheoy Lee. She's in the back of the yard facing the canal, opposite the grey house. She's lying between a pontoon ferry boat and a small catamaran. She has a grey bottom, and white hull. Thanks in advance for what you are doing.
Thank you! For those of us that are out of state this is very appreciated. At 1:17 there are three small Gemini Catamarans at the very top of the screen. There is a large monohull leaning on one of them. A more detailed look at them would be appreciated. TIA.
Hey we are the owners of a large monohaul that has 3 catamarans near her. She did fall starboard toward one of the catamarans, by photos it appears she didn't touch the one she fell toward. If you would like too see pics, let me know.
Just wondering, how many stands under the typical 40 footer, and how old are the stands. Did the storm hit the yard as a cat 3 or 4. If cat 3 strength properly set vessels should have weathered it? Lots of questions from Va. Looking to learn from this that's all.
I feel you. I can’t say what the true wind speeds were. What I can verify is that the strongest winds of the storm from before landfall to when the storm fully passed, were concentrated on this area so strong that ALL of the street signs in the area are flattened. All the trees that are still standing, are still frozen in the direction of the last strong winds. The winds lasted for approximately 12 hours, the strongest of them for about 6. The eye wall winds slowly rolled directly over this yard.
Thanks much for your video. I have a seaward 32 on a trailer. It is tucked back in the corner just across from where the paint “building” is/was. It is at the end off the row if you walked straight back from the launch/ retrieve area. Someone else did a drone video and it looks like my boat( dark green hull).. is still on the trailer and mast is affixed horizontally to the boat. If you could fly over up closer - that would be great. I live in Wisconsin and won’t get done there until access is more normalized thanks very much
Kudos to you using your skill set to help others. If you get the done up again a low pass along the front row boats facing the service road is appreciated. JerSea Girl, 4th or 5th boat from the north is of particular interest. Best wishes for you and your boat. Thanks again
my parents are looking for their boat Kindred Spirit, any photos or footage would be greatly appreciated due to the fact that they are currently in Illinois, thank you
Sea Cowboy, thanks for the video. I’m sorry to see the damage to your boat. Do you have any idea when they will be unlocking the gate and letting us in to see our boats? Also, my boat is one of the two sailboats that are on their side directly in front of you. Mine is the middle boat between and the power boat, Carduff. It appears both masts are still intact. Any information you could provide would be most appreciated. Thanks. Dean Broderick.
Thanks! I think we are lucky it isn't worse. My Catamaran is Fortunautico directly in front of the restrooms. If you, or anyone , can sent me a pic or let me know of the condition, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for flying the marina Could you please fly the area over where the boats are lifted out. Our boat is in one of the large tent structures near that location. Appreciate it :-)
Thanks for doing this. If you are able, we have a Meridian 408 in the 1st large shelter that was parallel to the office with trees on the back side. It looks like the structure has collapsed upon our boats. My boat is in the center with a black binimi. Thanks
Posting for a friend: Thanks for you efforts, My boat is called Buckeye II Catalina 320 but it is hard to tell from any pics I have been able to download the extent of damage. I am located in Cape Breton NS(Canada) and we just went thru Fiona as a cat 1 which eye walled some 50 miles south. So I have replaced my roof so far and will need a new lanai and a dock. Then came Ian, I would be interested in having someone do an inspection and determine if the next large storm has an opportunity to fill and sink my boat from a fill up of water, as the power is likely off and my solar panels for the bilge pumps seem to be missing.. I believe if we can prevent any further water ingression, we have a chance to come out of this. Buckeye II is located along the fence adjacent to the canal and docks, I am the only boat facing the fence so the name is clearly visible from inside the fence.. about 100 yds from lift and looking up the road between 2 covered sheds, The safe cove owner has advised that he and his staff are safe and are working on a detailed report for the owners for next week. Hoping this delay will not cause further flooding and damage Tks for the update and as REDGREEN would say---We are all in this to-gether keep you stick on the ice.
I live less than 2 miles from this boat yard and rode the storm out at my house. We DID NOT GO THRU THE EYE as he stated in this video we were in the eye wall for over 6 hours. If we had been in the eye the damage would have been less severe.
thanks for this video. it's crazy how all the sailboats laying on the side. but i do think if they would have used proper stand this would not have happened. i think the marinas in florida should invest more in their equipment than just charge the boaters ridiculous amounts of money for no service. sad for the owners hopefully the marinas will also have to pay part of the damage because it's there fault to not use proper stands and secure the boats properly.
It is such a mess and the folks at the marina are doing a good job. I wish I could have more access but I also understand the potential liability from the yards perspective.
Hi, thank you so much for your video. hope your boat can be viable again. Just a few seconds into the beginning of the video you showed us our 52' Jefferson flush deck power boat, PADRAIGN. She is upright on the stands and the boats around her were down but laid away. If you again have an opportunity it would be greatly appreciated if you could survey her with your drone. We are currently located in New England and were planning to splash her on 2 November. Thank you again for your efforts and perhaps we can buy you a martini while we are there. Joe Bristol/Trish Walsh
First of all, I'm so sorry if your boat is here and has been damaged or damaged anywhere. Looking at all the boats on their side I'm starting to question if a boat is safer on the hard with the mast removed to reduce windage. Obviously for that to be effective all the boats in your row would need their masts removed.
You are correct. Mast removal would be ideal for any major storm. Many masts faired pretty well. More survived than were snapped. Preparing a storage yard like this however by removing the masts with a couple days notice just isn’t possible. I’ve lived through 20 years of hurricanes at this point and none have had an impact like this. I slept on the boat in a marina during the last hurricane that came through so it is easy to become desensitized to the true potential threat. Thanks for your comment.
A lesson learned for the boatyard too ground anchor points concreted in then ratchet straps fitted around the yacht hull would have stopped the boats from being blown over. I know the hurricane was so extreme but it would have helped a lot
Our boat is a 40' Hinckley named Delmar. We would be grateful for any views. I have one pic of it still on its jacks but other than that nothing. Thank you so much
Why did this yard store boats with their masts up? Many yards have a standard poilcy of mast removal, removal of biminis etc. I notice many of these boats were relying on individual props for support, insurers and yards, in many countries, require an integrated cradle, i.e. the supports are all held together in a strong wide/ long cradle. I think the policies for marine insurance will be much more strict about the way boats are stored.
Didn't see my boat, Beneteau Swift Trawler 35, named MURFEY'S LAW. Storage neighbor said his boat is resting on mine, leaning on mine. Extent of damage to be determined.
I tried to get some drone footage of my Marina that broke apart in South Carolina. The Marina got pissed and made me take down the video. They also for some reason deleted all their security camera footage. My boat made it through, but others did not. Of the 10 lines I had tied to the dock, only was still connected the next morning. I also had to have tow boat give me a ride to my boat, and one boats two down from sank and took out the dock. They do not want anybody there taking pictures, period. I also see that it was mainly the sailboats that fell over and not the power boats. Those masts sure produce a lot of force in those winds.
If you can get some closer footage of my sailboat, she's visible on the edge at 1:36 about halfway up the frame, resting on her side and possibly on top of the powerboat to the right. It's a cluster of two north of the lake, I think maybe the most Northeast boat on the yard. I'll happily buy you a tank of gas or something for it!
@@TheSeacowboy The first part of my description was accurate but I can see in the NOAA aerial photography that I'm not the furthest northeast, so disregard that part. Thank you for anything you can do, even if it's only what you've already done.
Hi. Thanks for the video ! Sad day for sure . If you could get a little tighter on ever after 2nd row in, in front corner by the entrace i would really apreceate it. Let me know if i can help with gas $ or anything Thanks Dave&jenni sv ever after
If I can get there I will. I am in St. Pete and just a second ago my wife showed me that I-75 is no longer passable due to major flooding caused by an overflow of the Myakka River. As soon as it clears I will get down and get that for you. Hopefully this weekend.
How can one put his boat on the hard in a hurricane area and leave the mast standing? Put the mast away and use heavy duty belts to tie the hull down and this would not have happend.
I know it is a hard time and a little bit early for analyzing. But wouldn't it make sense to take the mast off in a hurricane region when sailboats are on land. Secure sailboats by webbing to the ground and take furling sails off regularly or in time. In house building standards for hurricane proofed constructions have been established. Why not in boating, whether on land or in the marina ? Who was/is in charge and responsible when sailboats are on land and hurricanes are approaching ? How do the insurance companies look at it ? All the best for all boat owners and sailors who are affected ! Prepare yourself with arguments and lots of luck.
I wouldn’t leave my boat in Florida during hurricane season unless they had hurricane brackets for a fee . As much as Florida charges they seem to be shortchanging people on safety
Many of the boats were hurricane strapped including mine and the boats around it. These boats saw consistent 120 mph winds or more for hours with gusts up to 150. The eye went directly over them and had persistent blow from multiple directions for that reason as the eye passed slowly. I wish I could blame someone for this but it is what it is.
You should’ve took off to Cancun . . I’m in a hurricane hole in the C and D canal in Annapolis. Dude hurricanes and sailboats don’t mix you have to run early . They don’t have the metal rack and straps . That’s what I was talking about . I wanna know if the rack and straps would hold up better than just the straps.
Wow, terrible. Guess there is no such thing as good hurricane protection on big storms like this. Sorry for all. I went through hurricane Andrew in 92. Cat 5! My boat was a total loss. It was so bad that we couldn’t get near any boats for 3 weeks! Due to authorities going through wreckage looking for bodies. The National Guard was there keeping you out at gun point! We know, it happens when we tried. Looks like boats had tie down anchor strappeing?? If so didn’t help much. Interesting most cats and power boats made it better due to there flatter bottoms. In S Pacific marinas many dig holes for the keel to go into. Good idea. Split your mast. Hope no holes.
Quick update - Due to the flood on I-75 and 41 I wasn't able to make it back down this weekend. I am hoping to make it down soon. Also, with the overwhelming response and requests I will be taking photos of the entire yard and posting them on my website when I finally make it back to the yard.
Appreciate you trying. Traffic around 41 and Jacaranda was horrible yesterday. 👋🏻
Thank you for your efforts, very much appreciated here in New England. Had planned to splash 2 November but it looks like an insurmountable task to sort out all the boats on the deck.

Hello. Thanks for the video. If you make it back to Safe Cove; my boat is next to the office (orange kayak on the bow). Very curious how she is; was getting ready to take her out. Then Ian. Take care, be safe.
Thank you, that's my neighborhood and could not get a good look from road.
No worries

No problem. I will do my best to get back out and reshoot it.
Thanks for the vid. Didn't get a good look at our boat but your video did show that it might be still upright. Being in Canada we can only rely on these video's for information. The yard as a whole was hit pretty hard!
Dear Sea Cowboy, cannot thank you enough for this video. TU, TU, TU gives us an idea of what to expect. You're the BEST!
Glad to help!
I would be happy to get that when I go back out. Hopefully sometime this weekend.
Great job!
Will do!
Isn't it interesting how the trawlers and catamarans appear undamaged and undisturbed.
which boats stayed upright? any differences jack stands vs. cradles? hurricane straps vs. none?
Thanks so much for this! It’s the “not knowing” that’s so hard when you’re a few thousand miles away! Not sure of placement, but if you see a Beneteau 331 “Miller Time” (keel centerboard with twin shallow rudders) let me know. Thanks so much!
Our boat is the IP 31 laying on it side 7 boats down from the hunter 45 on the outside row about 3:47. Any update would br greatly appreciated!!!!!
No updates.
Wow, thanks so much for this. I was able to see my boat which was one row in front of the bow of Caribbean breeze.
You're welcome!
Thank you, thank you and thank you again!! Our Island Packet 40 is right near where you started your drone flight, 4th boat in on the right. Called "It's a Dream". We just bought her in July this year. Would love a close up if you fly by again.
Will do my best
Thank you for doing this video.
My boat is center of frame at the 1 minute mark with the 3 solar panels.
If you fly again please see if you can get a shot of the standing rigging.
I don't think the port side of the hull is on the ground based on the angle.
If we are at the yard at the same time I will grill you some beef.
I will check it out. I-75 is closed from flooding today so as long as it reopens this weekend I will get that for you.
TIA.
I will do my best to go and get the drone back in the air.
Hey we are the owners of a large monohaul that has 3 catamarans near her. She did fall starboard toward one of the catamarans, by photos it appears she didn't touch the one she fell toward. If you would like too see pics, let me know.
The Genesis that is directly to her starboard side, appears to have a black bimini. Is she yours? Wish I could post pics here
Just wondering, how many stands under the typical 40 footer, and how old are the stands.
Thanks for the video.
Hi,. Thanks for posting my sailboat zahir is there. If you can get any footage I'd be greatly appreciative. It's a navy hauled Catalina 400
Sea Cowboy, Thank you. We could've see SV True Love in the video, I guessing under another boat. We are trying to get in the yard today.
I live in Wisconsin and won’t get done there until access is more normalized thanks very much
I will do my best.
Kudos to you using your skill set to help others. If you get the done up again a low pass along the front row boats facing the service road is appreciated. JerSea Girl, 4th or 5th boat from the north is of particular interest. Best wishes for you and your boat. Thanks again
Nice video. Hope that everyone can get repaired. It’ll take time but I think most of these will see a new day
Thanks Brother
my parents are looking for their boat Kindred Spirit, any photos or footage would be greatly appreciated due to the fact that they are currently in Illinois, thank you
can you do a droun clip of J& R boat storage in placida , florida
Thank you, Sea Cowboy! I was able to see my boat--sadly it is on its side.
Can you please check on a boat named HUGINN. It's in the grassy area near the pond. I would appreciate it so much. Thank u for the videos
I will check it out. I-75 is closed from flooding today so as long as it reopens this weekend I will get that for you.
Any idea what happened at Abels Marine down the road ? My Proline walk-around is there for service. Hopefully still on a trailer.
I couldn't tell you but I will do my best to remember if I see it when I go back down.
Thanks! I think we are lucky it isn't worse. My Catamaran is Fortunautico directly in front of the restrooms. If you, or anyone , can sent me a pic or let me know of the condition, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for flying the marina
Could you please fly the area over where the boats are lifted out.
Our boat is in one of the large tent structures near that location.
Appreciate it :-)
No problem. I will get back out this weekend.
@@TheSeacowboy anyway, I can send you a screenshot of her location?
Here’s the coordinates
Lat 26° 52.384'
Lon -82° 14.03'
Thank you very much
Praying that everything turns out okay for you.
Thanks for doing this. If you are able, we have a Meridian 408 in the 1st large shelter that was parallel to the office with trees on the back side. It looks like the structure has collapsed upon our boats. My boat is in the center with a black binimi.
Thanks
I will check it out. I-75 is closed from flooding today so as long as it reopens this weekend I will get that for you.
Fantastic! I live in Washington State, it’s pretty tough viewing through others videos!
Does anyone know if safe Cove has electricity yet and are they open?
Buckeye II is located along the fence adjacent to the canal and docks, I am the only boat facing the fence so the name is clearly visible from inside the fence.. about 100 yds from lift and looking up the road between 2 covered sheds,
The safe cove owner has advised that he and his staff are safe and are working on a detailed report for the owners for next week. Hoping this delay will not cause further flooding and damage
Tks for the update and as REDGREEN would say---We are all in this to-gether keep you stick on the ice.
I live less than 2 miles from this boat yard and rode the storm out at my house. We DID NOT GO THRU THE EYE as he stated in this video we were in the eye wall for over 6 hours. If we had been in the eye the damage would have been less severe.
Thanks for the clarification. It is what I meant.
thanks for this video. it's crazy how all the sailboats laying on the side. but i do think if they would have used proper stand this would not have happened. i think the marinas in florida should invest more in their equipment than just charge the boaters ridiculous amounts of money for no service. sad for the owners hopefully the marinas will also have to pay part of the damage because it's there fault to not use proper stands and secure the boats properly.
It’s sad that the marina or authorities don’t allow owners to check their boats. Good luck to all of the owners. Thanks for your reports.
I will check it out. I-75 is closed from flooding today so as long as it reopens this weekend I will get that for you.
@@TheSeacowboy Thank you, just be careful on 75. Really appreciate your efforts!!
Thank you
You're welcome
Its my understanding the dead boat yards are becoming a pollution issue in the Caribbeans.
What’s your website address?
If you can get some closer footage of my sailboat, she's visible on the edge at 1:36 about halfway up the frame, resting on her side and possibly on top of the powerboat to the right. It's a cluster of two north of the lake, I think maybe the most Northeast boat on the yard. I'll happily buy you a tank of gas or something for it!
As long as I can get down there and the drone can go in the air I will get it done.
@@TheSeacowboy The first part of my description was accurate but I can see in the NOAA aerial photography that I'm not the furthest northeast, so disregard that part. Thank you for anything you can do, even if it's only what you've already done.
Thank you as I have had no news about Amada. It does look ugly.
No problem
looks like most of those will be repairable, but what a mess to sort them all out
Hi. Thanks for the video ! Sad day for sure . If you could get a little tighter on ever after 2nd row in, in front corner by the entrace i would really apreceate it. Let me know if i can help with gas $ or anything
Thanks
Dave&jenni sv ever after
If I can get there I will. I am in St. Pete and just a second ago my wife showed me that I-75 is no longer passable due to major flooding caused by an overflow of the Myakka River. As soon as it clears I will get down and get that for you. Hopefully this weekend.
Thank you, we are all the way in northern California still so no way to get other info yet
Be safe
Dave
Can you fly over the middle row of tents please to the right of the main office
As soon as i75 is back in action this weekend I will get down and reshoot for you.
QUEST,,Belongs to Vlogger, In TOO Deep, looks like the Marina?he had a video of him dropping boat off,
Wow thats horrific. Any boat on its side will have structural damage unseen in the laminates. Just sayin. Sorry to see this destruction.its incredible
Because of you we see our boat!!! It looks ok!!!! Can we send you an email so we can share our boat with you in case you go back?
Yeah it sucks.. but it doesn't look extremely bad.. but I'm hoping for the best
I forgot to tell yo the make and model: Beneteau 343. I know for certain that the mast is broken (its a stepped Mast). Thanks for any new video
👍⛵🎣🌊💯
I can't believe how many flippin boats leave sails on their furlers while on the hard!
Looking like a lot of boats will be for sale cheaply. Buyers market. I see boats as a real excess issue in the future. Nuts.
Doesn't look that bad..thanks
Anyone want to buy a cheap boat? Only minor storm damage...
Thank you for your efforts...What a S##t Show. I can see "skimmer" is likely totaled. So sad.
😢
