The 2000 Altima is nothing like this 02 + Altima. It's further back and partially covered by the rear seat back and frame behind the seat back.

Just found this out now... my 98' has the pump mounted in a plastic retainer mounted at the bottom of the tank... nothing like this.

This is definitely for something later than 1996. Mine is nothing like this.
