  • Regular lubrication of bicycle chains addresses annoying squeaks and noises, and extends the life of the chain and drivetrain components. Formulated using a proprietary blend of oils, Park Tool CL-1.2 Chain Lube works great in wet or dry conditions. It penetrates, reduces friction, prolongs component life, displaces moisture, and protects parts from rust and corrosion. Compatible with all bicycle chains. Also works great as general-purpose light lubricant for use on bicycle brake and derailleur cables and housing, spoke nipples, and derailleur and brake pivots.

I came to the comments to ask about PFAS; thank you for being environmentally responsible, and helping to keep these killer chemicals out of our water and food supply!

Yes, thanks for not selling the best oil, so chains rust & wear out quicker, so they can sell more stuff 😂

Looks the same as Weldtite all weather with teflon. Which is fine, as that's a great oil & sold under a lot of different brand names.

This formula doesn't have PTFE (Teflon). Our testing showed it didn't make a significant performance difference, and PTFE is a "forever chemical", so getting rid of it was a no-brainer.

@@parktool Why does it look the same then? And oil with teflon performs far better in wet conditions so your testing sucked. Sounds like you're just making sh!t up to me 🤔😂

Just because it's proprietary, doesn't mean it's any good. I've witnessed gooey messes after 6 mo. of applying the predecessor of this, and no cleaning. Why not get with the program, and start encouraging people to use melted paraffin wax?
