    In June 2021, I was arrested while turning in evidence I found magnet fishing. The arrest was regarding a California warrant from 2019 that I had no knowledge of.
    In early 2019, I was on vacation in Los Angeles. While on the street I witnessed a kidnapping and attempted to stop the assailant. I did not know that the kidnapper falsely accused me of assault three months after I had already left California.
    This arrest led to me spending 22 days this summer in multiple jails and being extradited to California. I hired the best attorney I could find and my case was dismissed. The kidnapper has committed multiple felonies in the past year and is currently on the run.

      are you trying to tell me that you actually needed a lawyer ? so basically anyone can accuse anyone of anything and get charged and convicted . lol no . i was falsely accused of theft and abuse and i just plead not guilty and the case was thrown out due to no proof . if what you say is true can you imagine how many innocent people are in prison. the only time i was ever convicted of crimes i did not do was when the system forced me into a plea deal using my co accused as the star witness , i was a accomplice to the crimes he also committed due to the fact i was there.

      Isn't this exactly how the justice system is supposed to work though? It sucks that it took that much time, effort, and money (so that's definitely a place for improvement) but in the end justice prevailed and the true offender was charged despite their attempts to implicate an innocent person.

    • @genozp2328
      @genozp2328 2 роки тому +9

      @@tinkmaster1054, people only here and read what they want to. People want to believe that they can blame all of their problems on police, despite the fact that police are statistically doing an excellent job well beyond any comparable measure of a typical workplace, so they ignore the evidence and will believe it anyway based on a small minority of examples. Not to mention that they will often use stories that are personal and emotional based rather than factual evidence, often discarding visual facts seen on cameras. I am not saying that police are perfect, there is always room for improvement, but people want the drama of blaming problems on people who have theoretical control over them rather than to understand nuance. The reason our justice system takes so long is not because we want to drag everything on as long as possible, the main two reasons it takes so long is because: 1) The existence of Freedom also means that you will have a lot of individuals who take it too far and therefore we have a fair amount of crime. And 2) the United States more than any other country goes to Great lengths to do everything in its power to make sure the correct person is the one put behind bars, often being cited that we would rather a guilty perpetrator set free then an innocent citizen jailed wrongly. I wish it didn't cost so much, but a lot of the times you can add on many different fees and ask for money from the opposition after winning a case. Plus, even from the beginning he claims that he was from California and was in another state giving evidence in the form of a shotgun, while having unfinished altercations still in California. I am not saying that's a good reason to hold someone in for 22 days, but that isn't really a good idea for an ideal scenario. And the moral of the story he gave at the end is absolute nonsense. Understand your rights and the laws of the states that apply to you, but always do the right thing and comply with the police while doing so, because you can sue or counter sue if you have been wronged later; choosing to hide or avoid giving evidence that you found is almost just as bad as committing the crime yourself. Regardless, my apologies, I got a little off the rails there. The point is, I certainly believe that there are things that we can improve on, but the statistics say that by and large police are doing a pretty good job and that despite it being very stressful to go through cases that take such a long time despite sometimes being obvious the outcome, they typically do turn out in the morally and lawfully correct judgment. As far as I can tell, people just want something to blame and will ignore particular details in order to blame it on the government, majority, and law enforcement.

    I can relate somehow. While I was applying for an LTC a detective called to let me know it was denied because of a warrant. He sent me all the info. I flew to that state and walked in to a court room. I stated I was turning myself in to the judge. Judge asked for what? And I said well I have a warrant. They looked it up and it was for not having a leash on a dog. A cop wrote me up on that. Supposedly some 30yrs ago. At that time I would have been 8yrs old. The case was dismissed but the judge was pissed off that I had to waste time. Mind you I did check the warrant prior to arrival and just made a spectacle in court. So you see the moral of the story is that anyone can write you up for any non sense and get you in trouble.

Then when he said it might be loaded I went to thinking great, another police officer showing his ignorance about firearms. Just think, had it gone off and he was hurt Dani would have been blamed for the cops idiocy. I can't believe he was arrested to begin with since they saw how the gun was obtained. *Sigh* This country gets more stupid by the day, and every new year makes a huge jump in moronic laws, ignoring of laws, or just a huge spike in the so called leadership in this country getting so much dumber and dictatorial it really makes me sad. But I'm glad Dani got out of it despite it costing him a huge amount of time and money, at least it's over now.
