How I designed my bus: I run the conveyors right next to each other, but if i need to get one resource out, i raise its belt by one block, put the balancer in and lower the belt back down. Now i have an extraction point in the bus that is easy to access. It works best I found. Takes up space in length, tho.
You could also just leave one space between each belt so that balancers could fit on the same plane and use an upward slope conveyor for the extraction. Takes up less space in length, but your bus is twice as wide. Or could make a two conveyor wide bus and stack it vertically, tho this one would be the hardest to work with imo.
You know, you can disable the voxels visual crumble effect when they are destroyed! Its in the settings.
That effect, while nice looking, gets really in the way imo.
For the Burner the green bar is how much load the grid is taking. So green bar barely on means you have lots of room for power.
Also you can stack more drones to mine resources faster to load up the storages!
:)
You don't necessarily need those machines to be 4 blocks apart. You could do 3 blocks apart and feed the conveyor sideways. If the machine is wide enough you could even just do two and zig zag the conveyor around to connect them. Or, sometimes you could put the machines right next to each other and use the other sides of the machines to run the conveyor along.
" i need to pretty it up"
* creates flat grey slab*
I know youre pre planning and all but the holes do add character
You can drag the conveyor ramps, no need to build them individually on foundations, they can be built up into the air. Also, the burner generators are actually a pretty short term solution it will pretty quickly have you move to boilers and steam turbines.
Noticed while you were moving around and talking at the start... you somehow merged your belt into a two resource instead of single when making the container to circumvent the belt instead of going over it with slopes.
A bus plan that I like, have one space between belts which are one level higher then the foundation. When you need resource X, put the splitter and a ramp down, leading that path away from the bus for that purpose. When making a new resource for the bus, just output it toward the bus, ramp the belt up and make the new line.
Yes, that is the best efficient method for this game, least amount of resources and a clean overall look to the buss.
To make it even more clean is hide the wire foundations by putting sand blocks on top
One suggestion for the bus, leave a level (z axis) open to the lines to crisscross.. Doing the belt up, over, down works early on, but quickly gets messy as you have multiple belts going down the bus and needing the bus itself to go up and over the cross points. I left I first level open, so I just split, drop to ground (where buildings are) and go over as needed.
Okay, question for you....
Have you gone into the settings to see if you can toggle off the day and night change ?
Maybe turn night time off....hummmmm ?
Dude I'm totally stoked watching this playthrough, you're making this really fun 👍
There is something like 5 different types of science packs that you are going to end up needing to use.
don't forget you can use the 3D space, Multip floors or what not? or belts under the factory etc
This game is sooo much like a 3D version of Factorio, right down to requirements for science. No need for tunnel conveyors though as you can go up or down. I imagine a 6 or 8 wide bus, I wouldn't have put in gaps between.. just incline then decline the neighbor conveyor, drop in a balancer and pipe out. Need more of a type of product on the main bus just conveyor in to the point were you have diminishing items on the conveyor and balancer in. Exactly the way I'd do it in Factorio
lol “what is YOUR deal” lol
Hi z uoou should do a satisfactory series again that was a blast to watch
Yea, once you start building sunken generators and underground belts, its too much fun
FYI you do not need to go back to the Science block, if you click q you can research from the shortcut
When you are placing a loader look at the the machine to automatically place it.
Don't know if you know this or not Z but belts do not need power nor do they need foundations. So you can literally have the belts floating everywhere and they will still function
all that time building the floor of the science area... yet no science being worked on.. coulda prob got another 1 or 2 science learned lol
🤓☝
Z1 gaming i do enjoy watching your videos and I don't think that the converbelt needs power to run and maybe try building the converbelts on the ground to see if they do or don't require power to run
wait until he discovers explosives, makes clearing area around resources easier
Your power generators will only use what is needed to generate the power your factory is demanding. So you’re not saving anything by disabling them.
@Z - Since you seem to be liking this game a lot, you should check out Techtonica. I think it would make a great series (after you're done with this of course), it has a lot of the same mechanics with some extra story built in (lots of objectives to complete as you build up the base).
I've played it a bunch. Check out my playlist for Techtonica here: ua-cam.com/play/PL8Hr8BU6bPOkFh-fNWNimNvVTEg37HTZp.html
👍
Doss research selection only happen at the machine and can you que research?
You sound like Jojo siwa when you get excited
But in a nice way lol
Really really wish this game was on consoleS :(
you can press g to open research anywhere on map don't need to go to the research lab
do the ore nodes run out?
Yes the ore nodes diminish as you mine them and eventually get exhausted.
@@nullandvoidification eww
@@richard2mitchell There are different ore nodes later in the game, and there's a late game (at least currently it's late game) way to mine the other type of ore nodes endlessly.
try building a level up
