If you live in Nigeria, you can get from the local spice shop. Outside Nigeria, this is a specie of licorice stick. A very little part of the stick will do. Remember to remove it from the soup after cooking as it tends to keep releasing flavour which may overpower the soup taste.
Plz, do u mean Basil and scent leaves 🍃are different leaves. Then one leaf come first before the second, right. Plz guide me right to make a tasty Native soup. I'm a yoruba but I love it on there. Yummy yummy 😋

Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
What's the name of the vegetable you used?
I used scent leaves ( 2 different species) the normal one that we usually have in Nigeria and the Thai basil. Both grows in my garden here in Lagos
No wonder I was confused coz both looked like scent leaves to me, especially the one you called basil
Always put the ingredients
There is no lemon in this recipe its yellow pepper.
