In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Комедії
Ep1 Liza goes on a lovely walk
Ep2 Liza crushes a toy she vocally despises.
Ep 1 nice easy cardio
Ep 2 hate crime
I can't imagine her internal monologue and that's why I love her.
One of my favourite contestants of all time
I love all the middle aged ladies . . . Lisa, Sally, Mel, Victoria. . they make me proud to be an old lady!
Tim saying “it’s just nice to be out of the house” has never been more relatable 😂
Lol I thought his was really good
The Taskmaster will remember that.
And how about now? I've been inside for 8 months last week. I leave once every two weeks for an hour to hit the post office and the grocery store.
High risk. No go. This show is saving my life. It's my second full time through. I'm rationing it. It's gonna be a loooooooong winter.
Lizas "He is outside, it is life or death"... Relatable, too.
No kidding. I can't even leave my bedroom for the next two weeks.
people talk about wanting a series with the champions, but i kinda want one with the guys who got shitted on the most, like nish and romesh
It's not us wanting one, they made one. This series is the one after the Champion of Champions series.
Instead of a Champions round, can call it the Chumpions.
@@AliceWallace2 And not only that, they've uploaded challenges from it on this channel already, like the edible masks one.
Nish, Romesh, Choudry. Oh the jokes.
Yes. And Desky. Don't forget Desky
Alex looked so genuinely horrified when Liza murdered the little man
Because he knew he didn't have another little man prepared.
Pretty ominous comment if you haven't watched the episode yet :D
entewente I genuinely thought she’d killed a midget
that was brilliant by her, i laughed so hard lol
me too. poor little man 😓
The collective group sigh when Alex said "darts" was beautiful.
That's how you know it's gonna a good one.
the shower thing was a megabrain move
it what we call a pro gamer move
I appreciated that it wasn't their first thought but they got there by talking it through with each other.
@@TheSongwritingCat yeah, they really went through all the stages of an idea at supersonic speed
I was annoyed with the first team ^^
Seba Zabala I thought about the fact that they might be able to do that and they actually did!
I love it so much, when everybody goes "Oh no!" after Alex announces what task they are about to show.
I think it's the first time it was a collective "Oh no!" and that just makes it better.
Just reminds me of how long it’s been since they’ve done these tasks. For instance. Series 5, no one knew for sure that Nish would be shit except Alex and Greg going into the show, so no one voted for him to get bonus points like they probably would have had they known that he sucked lol.
Same, I don't know why but one of my favourite parts of the show is when they introduce a task and someone responds with dread.
@@jordanluke73 I know right? Or when they go "You can't do this and that.. But surely, no one did that! Anyway, let's see XYZ's attempt!" haha
Hi Tim from three years ago. Fancy seeing you here. 😁
Alice is trying to get someone to clone her with all this DNA she brings in
If someone manages it, I'll take two please
David Mitchell, and then she'll be his creature
@@Grizzlox 📸
I approve. She's a doll.
@@Are2-Dee2 what the fuck
You know it's taskmaster when you see someone sloppily taping brooms and sticks together
I just really liked the bit where Alice called Alex 'Blossom'
It must be a British thing. That Geordie, Sarah Millican says it all the time.
@Saint Hypatia Ah, yes, most of the time, but I'm thinking that she also says blossom. I might be misremembering, though.
@@jzthompson9598 yes it definitely is a British thing! they've got loads of cute pet names that are interchangeable, passed down from mothers to kids
Someone did a compilation of all the greetings Alice gave to Alex.
Not surprising since it was a task she was assigned to perform: call Alex a pet name before every task
12:17 I was legit about to comment that Russell was oddly sexy throwing darts for some reason. Greg nailed it.
Jessabelle Delen Ramos it was the that he couldn’t throw without sticking out his tongue. Adorable!
Russell is just sexy period. He is a very attractive man.
First the ball into the stump from across the red carpet, then the darts. My heart can only take so much!
Nothing odd about it. The only thing sexier is the Taskmaster lusting for him 😋
Haven’t seen anyone saying this so I’ll say it: the fact Tim Vine managed to hit the thin center pole of the darts setup about five times is actually pretty impressive. That pole was thin, and it was in the dead center of what he was trying to hit
he was trying to point that out, but Alex had to go for the zinger
Almost seems like it wasn't a matter of aim but a matter of strength. He just couldn't hurl the darts strong enough for them to hit the board.
@@hitwerterfinder4595 should've gone higher
Asim's little man task was so wholesome, definitely deserved that win.
I knew the darts one was going to be gold when all the contestants groaned
🤣 3 of them covered their faces and the other 2 squirmed in their seats. I had to rewatch that bit 3 times before going on to the challenge.
Liza’s little man went on the most extraordinary journey: a journey to the afterlife
I like how Liza always has the same half-grin-half-smirk on her face no matter what.
She always looks very jolly and incredibly dangerous at the same time.
I'm quickly remembering that she has my favorite energy on this show of any contestant.
Alex breaking character at Greg’s “drink it” was hilarious😅
The short panic.
Why is no one talking about the fact that for every episode so far alice as brought in a part of her body as the prizes
And asim picture of himself
because its episode 2?
@@appleOgreen "i'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice"
@@solarprogeny6736 perfect use of this quote 🤭
The five panelists, no matter which season, can usually be identified as 1 - the insane one, 2 - the one who fails at everything, 3 - the one who takes the tasks very literally, 4 - the one who tries really hard but ends up solidly middle-of-the-road; and the one who doesn't fit any of those boxes usually wins the series.
Josh was number 4 and still won in season 1
Bob was definitely the insane one but won series 5
@@Baramyne I think Sally Phillips may have been the insane one
@@gamingandwhatevs She was definitely the most insane one of them, but also the thirstiest
@@brunooliveira8003 honestly everyone was insane in series 5 xD
It still feels weird that Alex is 6'2" but feels tiny compared to Greg
tmi
Most of it is the chairs
Noaqiyeum and also the fact that Greg is 6’8” lol
Viviana OwO I thought we were talking about why a 6’2” man looks tiny next to a 6’8” man. The props department gave Greg a chair which has a higher seat and a tall, wide, rectangular back, while Alex is sitting lower and doesn’t have nearly as imposing a silhouette behind him, to exaggerate the contrast between them. And they’re sitting, next to each other on the other side of the stage from the other people who could serve as additional reference points. The actual difference in height doesn’t matter as much as stage presence and perspective.
Greg is not only a half a foot taller, he much bigger and out weighs him by a good 40 or 50 pounds. .
Two episodes into the series and I love all of these people already. I didn't predict that Liza would be the secretly insane one (I would have predicted Alice), but I'm here for it.
She murdered the little man!
I am falling in love with her
She's absolutely bonkers and I am here for every second of it. Her telling Russell to "can it" killed me.
I find it's usually the older ladies who are the zaniest lol
Liza is secretly insane, Alice is blatantly insane
“Hi Blossom” what a wholesome way to greet someone
I think in the darts challenge, it would have been better if they had swapped the order of Alice and Russell. You splice Tim ("Let me tell you a little about darts") with Alice ("Does the hat bit count?"), and then let Russell look really cool all on his own with his stylish throwing technique before revealing that he scored all of 3.
I think the energy was more different, Tim manic talking v Russell manic throwing, Tim eventually getting a good score v Russell basically just hitting the board. Alice energy was more subdue. But your edit ideas are good, would have worked perfectly as well.
@@FilmPeak I don't think anyone would call Tim's talking "manic". Just an old man going on about whatever casually.
Greg hitting on Russell during these episodes is a huge mood.
I think anyone would, given the chance
@@beek.4860 I touched his face once, given half a chance. We were drinking in the same pub, and I wanted to say hi and tell him I admired him, but I was already pissed, so I just touched his face and then ran back to my friends giggling like a schoolgirl. Not my proudest memory, but it's all mine.

"I like Chinese stories and... Hentai"
I was going to say, are we all just going to gloss over that!?
I would have been mad if no one had noticed.
I really like Asim.
I died at that part holy heck
How did they miss that???? Also, I wonder if he's into the detective novels or wuxia/xianxia.
"Look at his head!"
"I don't want to look at his head."
Liza Tarbuck is too funny
"I don't want to see a grown man cry on national Television"
That is a lie Greg, and we ALL know it.
I appreciate Russel Howard’s attempt to Bilbo’s Riddle his way out of that task at the end.
6:16
That collective sigh of despair 😂😂😂
That was a beautiful moment.
I relate with Tim a lot. "I'm not very good with doors" is something I've said on many occasions.
The best possible follow-up of the window ledge falling off after he closes the door just absolutely sent me
Tim getting his little man down is giving me Patatas flashbacks.
25:41
"It's just nice to be out of the house"
That's pretty real right now.
For sone reason I laughed really hard about the dry Martini.
21:20
That’s how you know they really thought through every aspect of the challenge. I died at this part too.
That bit, along with Assim's insane underground journey with pyrotechnics, opened my eyes to the fact that the time limits in Taskmaster can sometimes be utter bollocks. There's no way Alice and Ross had the time to prepare a dry martini and find two hairblowers + electric line extensions in the minute they had left, AND there's no way Assim's whole set-up was prepared in 30 minutes.
42:22 The look on Alex' face when Greg said "Drink it" had me spit out the food I was eating and I couldn't stop laughing for close to 10 minutes. Lesson learned; never eat or drink while watching Taskmaster; there's too many unexpected surprises.
True! I was trying to watch TM during dinner one day and they started measuring toenails! 😫
I’ve choked on many-a bong rip because of this show. Dangerous.
Alice’s confusion about the tail part of the darts extending to “the lean” is so cute LOL
This will go down in TV history as one of the greatest entertainment shows of its generation. Alex Horne, you are a genius.
i love when they start taping things together derangedly
the video artifacting at 27:19 was the most blursed thing I've ever seen. Alex's head slid sideways and Greg's face got even more skeptical looking.
I was so concerned because I didn't realize it was just an artifact at first
The reaction when Alex said “let’s play darts” lmao 😂
Prize task, Episode 1, Alice: “I’ve brought in my own blood.”
Episode 2, Alice: “I’ve brought in my own hair.”
If I haven’t seen the next episode I’d guess she brought in her nail clippings.
27:19 Alex's head is removed due to breaking UA-cam guidelines.
Didn't even notice that
Was looking to see if anyone else noticed that glitch. Plus, Greg got cyclopsed.
French nobility be like
that is horrifying
I thought it was a glitch with my device. Good to know it's UA-cam's fault.
I love the idea of just having FaceTime Wigs around to spice things up in a kind of mild way.
Given the instruction "In a German accent, could you tell me the best way to mount a trampoline?", if Tim Vine had managed to work the word "VEGETABLES!" into his answer, it would have absolutely made my year.
Hahhahah
Now that would be something epic!
"....And hentai"
A cultured man, I see.
@@fishfooties9850 Well, the audience probably consisted of mostly people older than 40. So I'm not surprised.
Tarpeter is obviously a cross between tarpaulin and carpenter. Now we just need to figure out why she was thinking about carpenters

I would swear on everything that during Russel's round of darts when they cut to the board there were way more in there than they showed at the end
Same
I thought the same, but unfortunately it's just a matter of angles. It's the same 8 darts in both, I slowed down and checked, it's just much more visible from the side view.
Also it IS possible to throw a dart and knock other ones out of the board. Trust me. It's disheartening to be in the lead and toss that last one and knock your previous score to the floor.
Tim just re-enacted a task from series 2 in the middle of an entirely different task. Brilliant
wait where?
@@chelseawildflowerloftinwey1945 Patatas!
I was thinking of Patatas while watching that bit ^_^
The shared grunt after Alex's announcement of the darts task is brilliant.

Tim definitely should’ve gotten 5 points for the inifinite number of people holding eggs- it was genius
One person. One egg. One point.

Tim definitely should have gotten 0 points. He didn't complete the task.
"Take a picture of a group of people each holding an egg. Most people holding eggs in a picture wins. You must be in your picture."
Even if you are going to bend the meaning of the phrase "group of people" and allow this, the butcher is in the picture and he is not holding an egg.
@@---cr8nw I'm just going to point out one thing, not that I'm disagreeing with the other things you said, but the butcher IS holding an egg.
Tim Vine's mirror egg picture would have been brilliant if he'd managed to hold the mirror straight on and get the camera straight.

How I feel when every episode comes out 😄
Yeah, it did!
A lot of the contestants seem to forget what they've filmed or at least hide that they know what is coming, but Alice facepalms every time she realizes which task they are watching.
Russell throwing the 60 darts was pretty satisfying but when he threw the watermelon afterwards I lost it

11:26. Pause.
Our world, our precious planet, can make the sight of an older gentleman missing every shot at a dartboard into a beautiful scene.
The green of that lush lawn, the sun filtering through the clouds.
The line of trees off in the distance. The sun is shining, with no leaves to catch those rays. Much the same as there is no hair on top of the chap's head.
I give it 4 points for making me happy and thoughtful.

russell howard successfully hiding the location of the grape and catching the grape during the reveal was oddly appealing
