You could just leave the heater channels as they are. Do away with your heat exchangers, they rot anyway unless VW ones. And run a 75amp alternator with something like a T7 Design electric 12v 400w heater, lots of heat, plus it will save you a lot of work on those channels.
👍🏼 It’s a Uk company but they’ll post to you I’d say. I’ve seen a few beetles with them in but more vans. It’s instant and you could utilise the dash fresh air vents? Especially as the quarter lights will keep the fresh air coming anyway, even in winter. My seats needed recovering so I took the opportunity to fit a aftermarket Land Rover 90 heated seat kit also, easy fit and about €100👍🏼

Heated seats are bliss and will be fitted😊 also cuz my vinyl covers are falling to pieces😉
