This cracks me up. I remember my dad letting me shift and hold the wheel when I was your son’s age. When I had the chance later, I let my son do the same and it’s a very special moment in a young man’s life! Thanks for sharing
That was a great look back over a few years of rescues. Some of them are more difficult than others but not as difficult as 'buses in the stream'! Take care Jason, we look forward to more excitement this year though maybe not chairs on the roof rack for Jen's sanity! 👍👍
Awesome vids! Getting harder to find old bugs anymore, especially in south dakota. i,ve had 20 something vws, including 3, 56 oval window rag tops. Now I think i need another bug, 64 or older.
Great recap Jason 🤙🏽. I took my driver's exam in 1980 in my dad's '67 beetle and as they were doing the safety inspection on it before the test one of the spark plugs blew out of the head and almost gave the poor old man a heart attack 😮😂. My dad drove it to NAPA on 3 cylinders and somehow got me back the same day to complete the exam 😊.
Such entertaining content, but yours always is. I wish I would have documented the dozens of rescues I have done that are mirror reflections of yours, but were done out here in Idaho/Montana/Utah/Wyoming. Just pulled my first Thing home after nagging about it for six years. The successful hunt is addicting.
Love the look back at all the great finds. Looking forward to 2025 and seeing what you find next. I just want to know Jason where do store all of these great finds that new shop you have must be getting pretty full by now. Love the video as always.
Happy New Year J!! That was awesome. Some of these rescues I’d seen but a lot I hadn’t, so this video was way cool. The one that got rescued when Jen was is FLA… wow. What a beautiful car. What’s up with dubwerks? He hasn’t posted anything in a while. Hope all is well. Thanks J!
I need a steering wheel for the 72 super beetle I just bought the other day (with horn pad) so if you happen to have one I'll gladly buy it off you Jason
You need to keep a fully charged battery or three on hand at all times, frustrating to see you work so hard, but it's evident you like to work harder not smarter. Well done it started. Great tips. Plus near the end of the video the older guy with the garage full of treasured.
A question, Jason. My grandson and I are working on a 1973 Porsche 914, 2L, 5 speed. It runs and drives fine except it grinds if you're not careful going from 1st to 2nd gear. maybe the 2nd gear synchro. Do you, or any of your viewers know of an honest and knowledgabale transaxle specialist near NYC? I would do the work myself but don't have the room. Any leads are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
@@5150mxVW I tried to reply to you but looks like UA-cam deleted it. I was trying to send you a video I made showing the color of my car to see if you have any thoughts on what color it is. I have the birth certificate and it was born as Indian Red.
@@5150mxVW I almost spit my coffee out on Josh's comment. I was thinking...this is the best bug I have seen him drive...why is he doing this. Thanks Josh for giving us the truth.

Was great seeing all these cars being rescued. Love seeing you passing this on to your son.

Hi friend, have you ever made a video showing your garage and the cars you rescued?
Hi , no I haven’t

Nice 63 rag. You said you had an oval. Are you interested in selling one of your ovals?
Nice.....a no rain compulation😂
Yes haha
The years of pushin' pullin' and haulin' episode. Haha.
Haha ! We had a first drive !

Which battery ? The 2016 6 volt ?
For all of them before the 57 T Bird
What no string available? Or a piece of cord ? Wow Beautiful 1966 -Love that Blue
It was just around the corner

Prophetic declaration: "My son was just like me, my son was just like me..."
Hey buddy, I have a question! Can I make the old style towel bar bumpers fit on a 72 super beetle? The 72 straight bumpers ain’t doin’ it for me!
hi Bob, backdating 70's cars in my opinion is way more UN-appealing than the big tail lights and big bumpers...
11:46 damn that's a beautiful little 58
29:25 nice to hear an american shift a manual like you are from europe
You need to make a car rescue kit and have what you need…at least the basics….in a tote
Only three people to bid against. That is a good auction.
yeah, at 18k lol

I live 30 miles from where the Mt Rushmore truck is from.
What is the name of the color on the blue '66? That looks like the same color on my '60 and I've been looking for touch up paint
Sea Blue L360…wasn’t available on Beetles in 1960. 1960 had many one year only colors , like Indigo Blue …it’s darker but a great color .

Apparently its spring time there..
