Fishing is easy. What ever rod and reel. 8lbs trilean smooth cast line. Then three inch twister tails purple and chartreuse. A bunch of eighth ounce pink jig heads and quarter ounce as well. Then each time you go fishing after that. Let your teen pick out a new lure for their tackle box. The box i recommend the cloth zipper style. The hard shell just get tipped over and become a tangled mess. The cloth zipper style have separate modules inside. Not mess no fuss leads to a good fishing trip. Plus the twister tails do not melt the polymer modules. Much more organization to them. It is the big ticket item as well. You can olso get other smaller modules for their side panel's. Rods with grafight

Excellent!!!! Thank you. I had no idea Walmart had a selection like that. I see a lot of supplemental items I can add to my current gear.

They've always had a decent selection. But I feel the quality has improved in the last 2 years. Thanks for watching

I thought different areas would have different things but the camping stuff is pretty much exactly what my store has. Your store has a few more outdoor games but The camping stuff was pretty much exactly the same

I've also visited a Walmart in Rifle Colorado, and the basics are the same, but there's much more aimed at bears, and the local wildlife., Less crab cages.

We're headed to our first camping trip in 15 years. Appreciate this video. Regarding kids and camping, if they are allowed online, or can research at the library, challenge them to each find 2 or 3 camping hacks to demonstrate while the family is out in nature. I just learned several ways to make a reflector oven using cheap materials to bake bread or cake near the campfire.

That is an awesome idea. I know that when my daughters feel their input is valued, they buy into an idea more. Thanks for the input, we appreciate you.

Thank you so much for this video. I am greatly interested in tent camping and it's good to know that good old Walmart has all the good stuff for Tent camping at a reasonable price. I live in NC so I will check my stores. I am a subscriber. Thank you again. Safe travels to you and your family.

Have them invite a friend? Bribes? Yeah, encouraging teens and tweens is like negotiating a mine field while performing surgery.

I know right. I guess my advice would be, don't give up, keep trying, and tread lightly. Every once in a while something is a hit and they have a great memory of it.

@@TexasFamilyCamping I ordered one of the Luci lights that you said was on your wish list. I don't have an awning (yet), and I needed something to put on the picnic table at night. I also ordered a cute license plate that says life is better at the campsite. You cost me money!

Bring them to a state park first. Or a camp site with a lake. Teens like to swim. They don't care if its a tent or camper. Tell them it will be fun. They might meet other teens at the state park.

My twins were 18mo last summer and we are having to skip this summer because new baby in July but you can put money on this baby camping at 11-14mo next year. The twins will be 3 this winter but are already love camping and watch camping UA-cam videos. I can't wait to continue my mom's family tradition

Ah Yes, Enticing the Children , providing instant enthusiasm for the Outdoors.
The Mysterious Long Lost Eccentric Uncle Letter with a Real Silver Dollar Included(from Coin Shop). Huh, Who was that Uncle? Oh Look there's a Map, always to the most remote place imaginable, conveniently by a good fishing lake. First Use the Scare Tactic, No Kid's that's a way to remote of an area, would probably require a lot of camping and survival skills practice. Nah, it's not worth it, no matter how much money is hidden there.
The Incentive of the nature of Greed takes over, and the Kid's and Adults will be looking forward to every future camping trip.
Make sure 1 additional Silver Dollar is found by your Map.
    There You Have It
Scam Your Family, make them really learn to love camping even more than you do.
