  • HOME INVASION, OUT NOW! - smarturl.it/StevenWilsonRAH
    Steven Wilson, described by The Telegraph as ‘the most successful British musician most people have never heard of’ embarked on his hugely ambitious sold-out To The Bone world tour in 2018. Founder and frontman of adored outsider rock band Porcupine Tree; one half of Blackfield; a Grammy nominated back catalogue remixer for acts like Roxy Music, King Crimson and Tears for Fears, as well as a solo artist hugely respected for a series of visionary LPs, from 2008’s Insurgentes, to his bestselling album To The Bone. Home Invasion celebrates the very best from across his career so far, presented as a cinematic multi-media show with glorious visualisations and outstanding musicianship. This stunning concert film was captured on the final night of his three night sold out residency at the Royal Albert Hall, London in March 2018, concerts which were hailed by media and fans alike as among the very best shows of the year.
    Director - James Russell
    Producer - Andy Derbyshire

      @@amirtech2005 he's rarely released a bad song, he's one of the best artists Britain has ever produced.
      But, he lacks identity,
      Is he prog, alt rock, metal, mainstream, electronic or pop??
      He needs to nail down a style or genre if he wants to go mainstream.
      But i really don't think he gives a shit, and neither do I, i wouldn't have him any other way, that's what makes him unique.

    • @halt.halt.halt.
      @halt.halt.halt. 5 років тому

      Cleve Crudgington it’s massive! But I got one piece of advice for you. Bring ear plugs. My ears were bleeding after the full two part set. It was the loudest concert I‘ve ever heard attended. By far. Way too loud and not even enjoyable without any plugs. It it wasn’t just me - pretty much everyone who went to see him in Germany said that.

    • @CosmicPotato
      @CosmicPotato 5 років тому

      @@halt.halt.halt. It depends where you sit. I have seen him several times at the same venue and yeah it's pretty crazy loud if you're in the first few rows. I saw this last tour about midsection and it was much more tolerable and sounded great. Main downside is you don't get to be 5 feet away from the band anymore!

    • @halt.halt.halt.
      @halt.halt.halt. 5 років тому

      Tony Tran I‘ve been sitting in the midsection when I saw him play and the venue even had several delay lines and quite the nice line array so it should have been as loud pretty much anywhere in the building. That’s what most anyone said afterwards. As did other fans from different German shows said. In a fan group people have said that his sound engineer had a hearing loss, but I don’t know about that. Still - with modern line arrays and proper delay lines the definitely shouldn’t be any place anywhere near as loud as it was. The mix was lacking crucial nuances as well and I have been in a very good spot to hear them all. Still, the concert itself was a blast and I wouldn’t hesitate going again!

    • @CosmicPotato
      @CosmicPotato 5 років тому +1

      @@halt.halt.halt. Oh man, that's a shame. The venue he comes to in my area is quite small, so it mostly relies on the sound from the stage so there is a big difference between front row seats and midsection seats. There was much more clarity and nuance in the midsection (previous two shows I saw front row) But yeah agreed even when I was front row and lost some of the music, it was still an awesome show. Honestly, this most recent your might have been my favorite. Great performance and the set list was such a good mix of new album material and back catalog.

    • @halt.halt.halt.
      @halt.halt.halt. 5 років тому

      Tony Tran yeah, you are totally right! When I saw him, he played most of Hand. Cannot. Erase. and To the Bone, as it was the second night in the same City which was very nice! Unfortunately I don’t have time to see him again in winter, but the musicians he brings with him as well as Steven himself are just great, even without Marco or Gavin and Guthrie.

By the way: My American wife is listening to modern country music (Horse Jazz) in the car. I don't like Craig Blundell as drummer at all but damn it sure was a amazing show to see.

    I like the song, but the video he's playing in the background on tours is so weird and not fitting.

      jFrenetic completely disagree. The song is about him giving up a woman and how she is still in his head...listen to the lyrics.

      I want the background video only version. Mesmerizing!
