@@flowerdolphin5648 typically if you have "apartments" (might be a language thing here...) you are not in a village. I would say your getting big town to small city there.
Where I grew up, 30 years ago, I would say my area was a village (cottages, mining terrace housing + small school + one line train station +church/pub of course any English village has those!)
Now we have blocks of high rised houses in the centre (still the original village area too) with then flats and detached houses in the new areas (which used to be farmland).
      That is a small-medium town.
Saying that car parks? Not sure how many spaces but are biggest is near our park areas and thats near a palace (tourism) where you have more pubs, hotels, a bigger train station etc.

As you are still importing a good near half of your timber, I think it would be worthwhile increasing the number of production buildings (plantations, sapling fields etc) and/or upgrading to the larger variants to cater for the increased demand. A short term cost of course creates worthwhile savings and long-term profit, meaning more tea leaves to spend later on!

    • @suzannebaxter3661

As backwards as it may sound, i love nature. And i love forests. And i also love woodworking. They're all therapeutic concepts to me. And i find the idea of owning my own logging/woodworking company equally so.

So i was rebuilding my zoned forestry the other day, which i thought was taking up a huge area, little did i know... These buildings are so big i had to almost double the zone because of those pesky workers barracks and maintenance buildings.
Or maybe i have too many of them 🤔
I also got the idea to separate the unique factories from the zones and put them closer to the city since they don't have to be in the zoned area. Also since they use more materials i guess it would be more effective to just set up cargo train lines from all zones to them instead of having trucks blocking up the highways (which they are not thanks to Hugo and co.)
Btw Loved the lapses as always.

hey Biffa since you love Roundabouts, build one with 4 lanes highway road and connect it with 2x2 lane roads (4x). this baby is magic, even without traffic manager! (good for PS4/Xbox)
without traffic manager it is important to take 2x2 lane not 3x3
also for my fellow console players
use right way only for 6 lane roads to have dedicated right turning lanes, it hurts to see 1000 cars stand in 1 lane but 6 lanes possible :D you can also use (if you have mass transit) 1x2 road.
Also make left turns on 6 lane roads, which gives you also dedicated left lane and your traffic will go smooth AF.

The five industry areas, mainly forestry, need 30 to 40 on the node controller because you have long trailers.

You could force one-way on normal roads using traffic manager and banning vehicles on one side of the road. That would allow you to keep the same road type at either end.

Hey Biffa, be careful with the node controller, I saw that if you make the intersection too large, it will act weird in combination with the "no going through" from TMPE, essentially making it as if it were a stop sign. Cars won't enter until the next one is completely out of the enlarged intersection, and it will cause congestion

    • @DocNo27
      @DocNo27 3 роки тому

Nice call there - I wondered why I had a few intersections acting weird and I think the interaction you just pointed out is the cause.

@@DocNo27 yes, that's the reason. Try either letting the cars go through the blocked junction, or bring the node down to not be so big

I do not like warehouses as they just add traffic and are just made to fill in for inefficiencies in your supply chain. I would put a train in to ship plastic in and finished goods out. If I had any warehouses they would be around the train. Understand though that each building has storage too so as long as you are not exceeding the storage of the actual buildings you do not need warehouses, but when you putt hem in they will use them, even if not needed. In industry we call this "Just in Time". We only ship a days worth of parts to the assembly plants. I would make the attached town a little bigger and divide things according to what you are making. This way if you need certain

I never get why people think university is better than working from the end of school. You learn more on the job than a textbook. It is why we are in so much problem here in the UK. Skills get handed to the sidelines and rather textbook learning is more desired (yet just delays them to working in the same sector/area/level). Basically you spend 30 grand on a third tier education level for nothing.
