  • When KING 5 producer Chris Zito topped 400 pounds, he knew he had to do something or his future would be uncertain. After several failed attempts with diet and exercise over the years, he turned to gastric bypass surgery to supercharge his weight loss.

I didnt see it as a cheat, I saw it as a new start and getting a second chance to do things differently. I weight over 307lbs now it's been nearly 2 years and I'm at 190lbs and it took a lot of work. Working out with a personal train 5 to 6 day a week then lockdown came and i bought weights to continue working out, going for 2 hour walks a day, eating healthier and drinking as much water as the pouch could handle..so many nights i wanted to quit but i couldn't and now with gym open again I'm back with my personal trainer to get down to 120 or 130..its a massive journey so keep going and never quit😁😁

@20 Hitcombo I fully agree with you but others see it as cheating, not knowing the hard work has just begun and painful

@20 Hitcombo exactly and everyday i even push myself to run on a treadmill..i seemed to have such low self esteem that i was scared to go gym in fear of being laughed at or watched. I gained weight before my surgery and the doc told me this was my last chance..i was 137kg and had to get down to 128kg. I said okay my last chance or no surgery, so i said its time. Went gym and my brothers friend who is a trainer..trained me for 2 weeks and stopped caring what others would say or watch and got down to 126kg and was approved, because i stopped caring what others would say, I reached my goal and havent stopped since🥳🥳🥳🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

@20 Hitcombo How I got there, firstly i was born at 8lbs which is the biggest in my family, i became skinny in primary then secondary school came and there was options for the fattier food..but i was bullied from primary to secondary and then i was being abused physically and verbally by my own dad so i was a depressed kid from young and food was just my comfort. I would eat just to feel better but even through that i was depressed and suicidal..even one of the kids in my primary told me to go kill myself and i bottled everything up, was an angry kid and had teachers telling me i would be in jail and never end up in university or graduating. So as i got older I got worse and turned to alcohol and weed to escape my reality plus making my music..then one day i actually overdosed and told my sister i love her..she knew what that meant and called for an ambulance and thats how everything came to light to my family of what was happening with me..but thank you i am beyond happy now

@20 Hitcombo yeah i cant stand those type of parents but i was also blessed to have my big brothers who became my father figures help raise me but it still hurts not having a father-daughter relationship and because of that women have daddy issues which lead to relationship failures, not all but a lot. I did blame myself for years but when i decided to change for the better i had to learn to let go and not let things or anyones words get to me anymore and just love myself in order to find that real peace🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 so thank you for everything you said i really appreciate it🥰❤

I can relate a little, my doctor put me on statin this year because my cholesterol was too high due to my poor eating habits. Now, I'm trying to get my health back in order before its to late. As a 44 years old obese dude, I know it isn't going to be easy but it's either getting my health back in order or continue to be at high risk for heart attacks. Wish Chris Zito all the best.

I'm about the same age and yeah I was exactly like you statin and headed for type 2 diabetes drugs. The only way out is exercise, and lower the calories. Read the labels then make a list of everything that you can eat in a day that adds up to no more then 1200 calories a day. I started out in the Gym just walking on the tread mill barely could do 30 min at first. Just go exercise everyday don't miss a day and slowly increase your workout you be surprised after 2 months how much better you will feel. Don't bother with low carb diets they are a waste of time, or KETO high fat low carb diets will cause more heart clogging.

Losing weight is an amazing feeling, the euphoria you get from stepping on the scale and watching that number drop makes anyone jump for joy. But weight loss is a journey not a cutscene. Your body loses fat proportionately and it’s pretty difficult to target specific muscle groups. Depending on genetics everyone has a spot where fat tends to store in one place such as the belly, thighs, underarms, back, etc but with consistent dieting and exercise you CAN lose weight. Little extra tip: you don’t have to complete remove a food you enjoy from your daily life, just make sure you can squeeze it into your diet without increasing or decreasing your macros

Idc what anybody says his life was at risk. He did what he had to do to live not just for him but also his daughter. I went to the doctor a few days ago and I have hypertension, borderline diabetic, and am at risk of a heart attack . I'm not even close to being what he's at I only weigh 280 pounds. My goal is to get down to 215. I'm not wanting to lose weight I need to lose weight otherwise I'm going to die. BTW I'm only 26 so this hit really hard.

Surgery is NOT the only way that a person can lose 100, 200, 300 or even more pounds! Preventing insulin resistance is the key! Stop eating ALL sugar. Stop eating processed foods. Eat whole foods, mostly dark greens and other vegetables, healthy fats only (nuts and avocados), a small amount of fruit. Cut out bread, pasta, rice and grains. Drink 64 to 90 ounces of water perday depending on your weight. You lose your cravings for junk and sugar and your body burns fat instead of glucose. Exercise for 1 or 2 minutes at a time several times a day to start. Don't judge yourself while you are excercising. Look at what this guy is eating after surgery: sugar laden high carb beans! You don't want to get nonalcoholic fatty liver disease! These surgeons make MONEY OFF OF PEOPLE'S MISERY! Before taking the leap at surgery do more research!

i have always love eating and that made me lose weight super hard, tried a lot of diets and exercises along with it, but what made it possible was agoge diet. it changed my life. its always about the right diet for u

The surgery doesn’t really fix the problem. People still have to eat healthy, exercise, sleep and manage stress well. When you do it on your own without surgery through hard work everyday, you get a sense of pride and accomplishment of success. I’ve never had any weight loss surgery. I still lost 60lbs the natural, right way without cutting my stomach up. I think people should really just give diet and exercise a try over the long-term. 👌🏻

2:11 I feel that. I've never been more sad or heartbroken then when I realized how many times I've failed. I have never succeeded in my efforts to lose weight. I had I nightmare the other day. Well idk if I would call it a nightmare. Without going into it to much. I was at some movie theater and there was junk food vending machines everywhere. I remember getting chips pops cookies pop corn and binging eating so much and I broke down and cried in the dream after I realized what I've just done. Even in my dreams I'm failing.

Nothing will help you lose weight. Not surgery, not diets, not exercise...
If you don't develop a brand new identity and adopt SELF DISCIPLINE you will not succeed at anything in life especially weight loss.
THAT is the solution. NOT motivation. DISCIPLINE AND A NEW IDENTITY (How you see yourself).
Before anyone gets on my case for being heartless the truth is most who struggle to lose weight want the EASY way out. Nothing worth doing in life is easy.
I've struggled with my weight in recent years so I know that of which I speak.
Embrace the suck. That is the only way you'll see a better outcome for your life.

Could have done that by cutting all processed foods all sugars and most carbs. Something like 90 percent of people who have these surgeries end up going back up. It's a great head start but the obesity epidemic directly correlates with processed carbohydrates!

    • @kolbykim
      @kolbykim 2 роки тому

Some go back to bad habits but there are some people that get healthy afterwards and actually keep the weight off. Those are the people who inspire me! Surgery isn't an easy way to lose weight either, it takes time to heal and to adjust to a new way of eating plus fitness plan.

Yikes I would never recommend surgery unless your health was in a critical state. You should have instead spent that money towards a trainer or even gone on some fitness forums where people would have directly helped you with a workout plan and would have stayed on top of you to be consistent.
