    Honestly, this tutorial makes no sense. How does one know what to write as expressions? Wherevare you getting all these expressions from??????

      Fusion utilizes standard Lua syntax. So if you know Lua, you can write an expression. The issue is learning what keywords Fusion provides which ill admit is lacking documentation. But, the "time" keyword used in this video simply refers to the current frame of the composition. So if your comp is on frame 60, time would equal 60.
