Great video. I tested milanote a few years ago for vision board use. i really liked the user experience but i didn’t find a way to include it in my routine. I’ll give a second look now that i’ve seen your set up, it’s very inspiring.
after watching your video for a while, you can take it or leave it, I would suggest not to look down so often (even tho I know your operating device is there) because it distracts my attention. Everytime you look down, I feel disengaged with you maybe instead you can buy a cheap ipad stand. Good luck on your content creator journey, I wanted to start since 2 years ago but I feel lacking even tho I do a lot of research. So I know it take a lot of courage to start Wish you all the best!
Thanks a lot for the feedback!!! Yes I can do it next time on the computer. I was thinking the iPad might be a cool idea, but that’s a good tip! Because of looking into the camera.
Figma which is a free UI design software can be used for flexible note taking in a scrapbook fashion. Especially with a ton of plugins and widgets it’s pretty powerful. And obsidian is amazing too. Offline and local usage with canvas and other cool plugins. Worth checking out for anyone who feels miros free tier is limiting
Yes I used Figma for a while, but discovered Milanote after. In my opinion the simplicity with the folder system makes it great. Notion is more complex. I heard a lot about obsidian, but notion was free, so I sticked to it. For obsidian you need to pay right?
@@Jeffaloo In my opinion Obsidian will always be better than Notion on literally any aspect you can imagine because it's offline first and the plugin ecosystem beats everything else out there. With Obsidian you can imitate Notion or Milanote or any note taking and knowledge management system and notetaking app out there, only more OP solution out there in terms of configurability that can exist compared to Obsidian are Neovim or Emacs but those are projects that no commercial project could even hope to beat, even if Microsoft or Apple would try to do it and would put their money behind it.
@@encapsulatio Wow ok! Didn't know that obsidian is that good. I never gave it a try, but in terms what you mentioned now, I try Kortex which is a new developed software by Dan Koe (UA-camr) and its honestly amazing, I can even imagine it might even beat obsidian, but can't judge it, because OI never used obsidian. Have you heard about Kortex?
really like milanote but it's just too expensive for what it is i just cant make the leap of paying 10$/month for a note app if only there was a student plan this would be great i will stick to obsidian canvas untill then
Opinion: The Milanote's free plan isn't much convidative to new users: they offer only: 100 notes, images or links ( what? I even need to choose between notes OR images OR links, because they put that "one OR another" limited to 100 items)... and 10 file uploads (it doesn't make any sense)... Unlimited shared boards (Whatever... this is what should be limited in free plan and not limiting creation of notes itself, but ok, I'll not use it anyway) I still prefer Notion for free. Maybe if you accept to spend some dollars, maybe it worth. I think it doesn't.
Yes for me the 10$ a month are worth it for productivity and organization. But yes notion is free, which is a great value, but Milanote and notion are 2 completely separated softwares. If they would combine or notion would add it for free, that would be perfect.
This is a great video, was very interesting and informative to me. Thank you! Wish you all the best :) Also starting my UA-cam Journey and this will be helpful. Wish you success!
Thank you so much! Oh really! That's nice! Wish you all the best too! P.S. Would be happy if you join my discord community, I created it to share knowledge, know how and productivity tips in purpose to help each other :) (it's free) I learned: it seriously can motivate to share the small success with a couple of views or ask about ideas and advices, everyones journey is unique, so sharing it along the way with other creators can seriously help. Wish you all the best!
hey man just wanted to thank you whimsical and unexpected suggestion that i am using now milanote has a limited plan but whimsical is pretty goo alternative
Yes 🤣 and you can also use it without copyright issues, because of all the games they are getting uploaded on UA-cam (I know it because of my 2. gaming channel 🤣)
I'm sorry but A VERY LIMITED FREE option and $10/mth ??? Just nuts pricing. I feel so many of these companies are completely out of touch with today's economy and I have ZERO DESIRE to help them fulfil their fantasy...
Hey jeffaloo , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail and also help you with the overall youtube strategy and growth ! Pls let me know what do you think ?
Basically, canvas upgraded version of obsidian. I might be wrong though, but I have like 1GB of notes, so I'll stick to obsidian.

Thank you! I mean sure it’s personal preference, but I think it’s a great tool, if people want to invest 10€

Quite professional looking setup and a great video..... keep going !!
Thanks, I will 💪
Seriously how do people get anything done if have the time they're spending migrating from Note App D to Note App F every 2 months.

Ah ok. Then I need to give it a try

I’ll have to check this out. I like notion but the whiteboard issue is what I dislike as sometimes I prefer to write

There is actually a student plan, where you only pay 5$.
A tip: Do a free trial, cancel it, then they offer you 5$ per month🤣
Seriously no views in 59 mins such a shame, you don't deserve this please don't demotivate and keep creating more.
Thanks 💪 I will even if I am not getting much views. It’s a learning process!!!
this vid low key blew up lol
@@Pennytechnews hahahahhaha yes it took a bit of a time. Thats usual for youtube haha it mostly gets views after 2-3 days haha Love youtube!
Interesting, I'll check it out
💪
secunda playing in the background made me instantly sub, good video & music choice
hahahaha thanks, it just perfectly suits to the pacing and it is copyright free haha

I like Milanote so MUCHHH
yes same, such a great and simple tool.
you havent seen note taking if you havent seen obsidian
Haha yes notion and Milanote are not great for that. But kortex so far from Dan koe seems even more promising than obsidian
This was a great video! Although i have one suggestion : please improve you vocal audio clarity.
Thank you! Yes yes, I realized it as well.
I just found their free plan quite limited with only 100 blocks. Other than that probably a better Miro option.
Agree. I mean main part of notion is free.

is Mila note free?
sadly not. its 10$ and as a student 5$. But for me the 10$ are worth it :) But I think you can test it for free for 7 days or so.
