Thanks for the video! I have a -76 Eldo as well with a leaking exhaust manifold. Nice to see that the bolts tend to break 3/4" above the threads so you do not have bore them out.
I like the homemade bumper red tapes! Very cool car sounds like you're giving her some love I just bought a 76 that's pretty clean can't wait to drive it I have to wait to get it delivered I got to wait a month Nooo!
Sooo good to see. In Australia here and I’ve got the same but a 1974 model. Just such a magnificent car hey. I’ve done a bit on it myself but it’s always hard to find good people to work on it that know what they’re doing. So hard to find certain parts too. Thanks 🙏 for the vid.
When you got the first one out you should have ran a new bolt in there to hold the manifold so all the weight wasn't on the other bolts play, that will help break the bolts and all the way from the manifolds hanging on one
Same problem with mine. I fixed it although my bolts broke flush with the head. Also had to end up breaking the manifold because it had rusted to a couple of bolts and didn’t want to back off. LOL all in all not a fun job.
I am thinking about purchasing one is there anything I should look for in this vehicle are they hard to work on are the parts hard to find I know I will need a hood idk are those hard to find
Mechanical parts are generally available and affordable while body parts are hard to find and expensive. Frames can get pretty rusty if it was a winter car. Convertible tops are expensive and hard to keep working right.
GM really screwed up with those tacky plastic inserts front and back, some 5-mph collision nonsense demanded by the Feds. Once the plastic pieces fall apart, the car's image takes a major hit. I'd find a metal fab specialist to fill in the gaps.
You mean when I do my Whitehouse paperwork in my room wetting the bed when they started doing that surgery? Ya, I just go to the casino in my spare time cause it's loud....
He used to sometimes let me get something to wx when we lived at home but he's psycho like THEM now, I guess.... the Eric from the Hollywood part of this body....
Leaking exhaust manifolds? Yes. Tape bumper fillers? Yes. If you are unable to care for him I'll take him off your hands. Why aren't you hitting the bolts with some special sauce first??? PB Blaster
the minute you showed the exhaust manifold I knew you were going to be chasing at least two of those bolts. Here - this should help you on your journey with it.. and please do post more videos on it! drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/1HEGjmkAtLjLUEet76YMYuIazzJOGpwCw
With some love thats a beauty .
Once again the king of cars.
