Not my cup of tea but it’s still unique and I get why some people would love it. $500 cars are ratted out ford focuses and Chevy cavaliers, these older cars hold some value. We don’t live in the 90’s and 2000’s anymore when you could buy an old running and driving car for $500

The Eldo is a little rough but tempting. My brother had one and I'd get to drive it when I visited. He was that GM metallic pea green with white top and a red interior. It looked like a watermelon with the top down. So, that's what we called it: "The Watermelon" lol.
Ugh I WANT it. Don't have the spare cash to get her sorted, don't have the space to store her. Godspeed to whoever wins her. What a great car.
Randy your C5 is really rare it’s a frc which stands for fixed roof coupe which is really rare than the regular roof and even more rare since it is a base model not a Z06 which all of them were frc’s. Can’t wait for some scatpack and 6speed C5 content

Love the car. I bought a '76 Eldorado Coupe with all the options back in 1989. It was my 2nd car. Main reason I wanted it was that it was BIG, and had a 500 V8. I was 17. I took an auto paint and body class and did fixed the few little dings and painted it white. It had the red leather interior, so my dad had a new vinyl landau top put on it in red. I did red pin striping to make it look right. I remember at the time the kbb value on my car was only $4,000, but the convertible was $20,000 if I remember right. BTW, if it's running perfect, don't floor it from a stop on the street. You will end up in the next lane due to the massive torque steer!

It's well equipped and it looks like it's factory black which isn't very common for convertible Eldorados.
Theres a power drain on the car somewhere, the turnover shouldnt be coming to a full stop like that when starting

@@donhenry7930 I have a trans which is new and a torque converter from GM still in the box that will fit the MC I bought it 4 years ago and did not use it. It will be a drop in. Keep the MC you need to drive it. My MC got wrecked while parked at the shop who was going to install it. Some drunk hit it and totaled the MC while evading a DUI. I love Haggerty Insurance. But I want the Limo.

The top is HYDRAULIC, the motor runs the pump. That design usually works well and lasts a long time.
Nope… it’s all electric. The motor runs 2 steel cables that open and close the roof.
