This review literally convinced me to pick this mouse up. Coming from the G305, the reduction in weight feels so significant that I don't think I'd be able to go back after this.
Starting to really believe that asymmetrical ergo mice, while harder to find the exact one that fits your hand and grip, are superior once you do. A Symmetrical mouse can appeal to a way broader set of people but when you find the right ergo it just makes sense.
I want to like ergo mice but I cant find one that I aim good with I have had a lot of mice and I aim the best with mice that are anywhere from 116mm-119mm long. Any longer than that and it feels to long and any shorter and it forces me into pure ftip grip which I am not comfortabe with and it feels less stable than claw I also like thin mice with a gripwidth of 53mm-55mm any wider say 60mm and it feels to wide and I dont feel like I am in control. Same with hump postion and size I have to have a low hump around 38mm and it has to be in the middle otherwise I cant pull it into my hand limiting my range of motion and hurting my aim and comfort. Most ergo's are a lot bigger than what I described usually they have a hump around 40mm-42mm which is too tall for me and they are also too wide for me at around 60mm and up usually they are really long at 120mm and up the only ergo that I can actually use is the Roccat Kone Pure but after a while it starts to feel uncomfortable. I would love an EC2 shaped mouse that is 118mm x 54mm x 38mm until then I am using the Viper Mini which is endgame for me I cant wait for the Pwnage Symm 2 so I can finnally switch to wireless.
@@16-bit54 you might like the Roccat Kone Pure Ultra or Kone Pure owl-eye. The ultra is just an upgraded light version. Check out some reviews that have the actual dimensions bc the listed ones don’t seem that accurate. It’s similar in size to the Viper mini but not quite as thin. Not sure it meets what you’re looking for but it’s worth checking into if you are looking for ergo. And my previous comment was definitely a generalization im sure some people have grips absolutely better for symmetrical mice but most of what I see, it seems ergo would be better but that’s just a guess
@@DiscipleTD Like I said I have used the Kone Ultra and I have use the Kone Owl Eye and while they were fine at first after about 3 months of use they started to feel uncomfortable also the scrollwheel broke on both of them after like a month.

Just bought ist for 20 bucks. Tried so many mice and I like the DeathAdder v3 but got a tendinitis because of the higher hump. You think this one could be it?
Had to come back being a large hand fingertip mouse enthusiast this mouse is very good and had some awesome Apex Legends game with it with not even a day of use. He's speaking the truth with this one don't sleep on this one I was surprised especially by how comfortable it is fits my hand pretty well. Keep up the awesome reviews and keep fragging!
Nice review! I'll have to revisit this one. When I got it, I couldn't get used to it over the course of a couple of days. I'll give it more of a fair shake this time.
Love the review Fresh, especially on a fairly unique, and risk taking shape and approach by CM. Love seeing that its your new and current main and this became news to me not from the review here but from your fans on the reddit sub who cited your new love for this shape. Love the review format and the footage of real time high level gameplay, my only suggestion, or more of a personal request lol, is that you show more footage of your hand on the mouse and pad via handcam (exactly like at 2:29 before you cut away), preferably like in the corner superimposed and synced over the gameplay footage. I think one of the biggest reasons people respect your reviews on mice and your opinion on their design is because you have mechanical skills and credentials to back it up, and the way you hold the mouse, how it looks in your hand during split-second movements, and how your grip changes in game is so important and different than doing the same thing with no gaming just holding the mouse is very different than when you use it without thinking about it. Thanks again and look forward to the next review.
First review I’ve seen from someone who’s actually interested in trying it out! Most people just see the MM720 and other ergonomic mice and totally discard the ability to use it competitively or at a high level. Most people who seem to review mice consistently online are fingertip or palm grippers? I could be wrong, but it’s just nice to have a reviewer who cares about peripherals who’s a fellow claw gripper. Claw gripper master race 😤 I had the mm720 when I was a palm gripper, but I recently re-taught myself to learn and become consistent at claw grip for fps games , so I could use other mice more comfortably. You’ve definitely made me reconsider trying it out again, seems like the dream mouse for some people. Keep up the great work 😄 you inspire me to keep improving with my aim and look into other peripherals that I could have fun with or just improve with and learn more about myself. BTW would you consider reviewing the original version of the MM720? I’m considering buying a copy of it because I usually hate mice with holes in it, but we’ll see. It would just be cool revisiting old mice too, just to see
Do you use an elevated grip ? Ordered this mouse I find ahape intriguing and might fit my hands as they more wider than longer but my grip I don't touch mouse pad it kinda stays elevated straight supported from forearm. I use 800dpi at 1.25 sense apex...Will see in few days when it arrives also absolutely bargain for the spec I got it for 25bucks new amazon Update: got the mouse unbelievable shape insta natural feel on gip jumped on overwatch straight away noticed tracking was way more comfortable 👌 my theory on mm720 width is the comfort creates less tension which lead to better aiming for wider hands with mid to short fingers so under rated shape Warning ⚠️: once you try the mm720 every mouse you own will feel strange and weird
I have the CM Spawn still. Would have been awesome to see it beside the new 720 to see the similarities of what they changed and didn't change. I have been on the fence about getting this mouse but maybe now I might try it. At some point. Thanks man for putting this out for everyone. You're tha man. Full view and thumbs up brother.
GOAT comfort shape, with the ring finger rest. Reminds me of a smaller mionix naos mouse. Funny thing is a lot of people, say razer orochi v2, is the most similar mouse to this , but they look so different, but in feel, they feel pretty similar.
Then if I like the Orochi will I like this mouse as well? I really love the Orochi. But on days where my grip are sore from training it feels like the Orochi easily slips out of my hand and my aim become unstable. Will this shape fix that?
I got the matte white version of this mouse, and it’s great, also very comfortable for claw/palm grip. It’s just that my aim isn’t as consistent with ergo mice. Super comfortable shape and perfect except for the skates as you said.
I always thought this mouse was kind of underrated, if it was your shape it was definitely a great mouse and really nice low weight. Never got why RJN said the mouse wouldn't be good for gaming, I have very small hands and never had any issues with the shape.
I love this mouse it’s such a unique shape super comfortable and so light I can hope they make a wireless version at the same weight would be incredible
Have an orochi v2 atm and I really like it but your reviews have got me really interested in these smaller ergo mice, this one and the skoll mini lol I'm gonna hold out for now till the XM1 mini comes out though, whenever that'll be.
I loved my MM710, but it grated on my ring finger, and was a trash fire quality-wise. I bought one of these to tide me over while I waited for my recommended replacement mouse to arrive. Ended up loving it-- I even bought a spare. I only wish the coating was slightly more durable.
You are the best example for showing what's the most important thing there is for competitive gaming: TALENT. As long as the sensor is good and shape comfortable, with *talent* you can do wonders. Kids these days playing the virgin simulator thinking the ultra-mega-über light mouse is gonna improve their gaming skills 🤣 Not gonna like though, since I start using light a gaming mouse (mainly this and HyperX Haste) my recoil control has improved dramatically but that about it LOL - Great video as always 👍
Hey , ive been using a mm711 for over a year and a half and ive liked it alot and now it has started to double click and so im looking for an upgrade so do you think the mm720 is a good pick for me? (btw im a fingertip user with medium to large hands)… i play games such as valorant and r6 so any chance this shape can improve my aim?? Great vid btw!
Hard to say if any one shape will improve your aim, but if you like comfortable ergonomic grooves the mm720 is great. It’s very different though than the mm711. You might end up loving it but it’s hard to say. I personally perform better on the mm720 than the mm711, but users experiences can differ greatly
For the money! An Absolute sleeper, you get so much goodness for very little money! And if the shape fits, then GG's! Great review bro, what did you think of the cable, personally one of the best I've come across!
This mouse surprised me so much. Definitely recommend the matte version over glossy (glossy feels like sticky cheap plastic). I feel like shorter mice like this and Orochi allow you much more freedom of movement in games like Apex that require a lot more vertical tracking. How are you liking the OG maps returning btw?
