Wow! What a trip!
You guys have been so ridiculously supportive it's insane I can't thank you enough, I've got a poll up for the next class I should play as since I wanted to get some more community involvement going and on that note I'm working on getting a discord setup too, I'll likely also try streaming the next playthrough on youtube instead of twitch since y'all have been so kind to me! Once again let me know how your own runs are going and if you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them! Subscribe for more! - Ігри
I loved this series. I would've never guessed these were your first uploads, you have the voice of a seasoned creator
I was just thinking the same thing! On top of that, his editing is really polished. If luck is on his side, and it seems to be, he could have a really successful channel.
No kidding, the quality of the videos alongside the A+ gameplay and commentary is *chefs kiss*
The true treasure was the spears we threw along the way. Gone but never forgotten, Nyrulna.
Hey man, just wanna say that these videos are great, thank you for putting in the time to make them. Haven't been able to play bg3 myself so I love that I can live vicariously through you. Mad respect G
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like them!
The 6 foes surrounding Bhaal are the ones providing the unstoppable stacks for Bhaal each turn. If you kill them with some AoE damage (they have Sanctuary, you can't directly hit them until they attack you), the unstoppable condition stops replenishing and you can kill Bhaal without worrying about not doing damage.
This play through inspired me to do my own solo tactin play through and much respect it is very tough but very rewarding and fun.
It really is, have fun!
"I was an adventure like you until I took a tadpole to the brain."
Just a quick tip: if you had gone to the flaming fist HQ at the basilisks gate way point (I think that’s what it’s called) and talked to Lora before killing the hag, you can find her after saving vanra and get a legendary weapon that is pretty good
Thanks for the tip I'll keep that one in mind!
17:31 There is (hopeful it still hasn't been patched) another way to cheese Cazador here. Just put on the Daylight spell, slowly sneak up to him, and stand still in a certain spot where you continuously do damage with daylight. He just doesn't react to you until he dies. If you do it right, initiative doesn't even start until after he's dead and you've stepped into the arena.
it is patched now, unfortunately, now he heals himself every once in a while but you can still use it before battle to take a free 20-40 health off his actual healthbar before he gets the ritual buffs

This was an amazing series. I cast my vote for Sorcerer. I'm sure there are a ton of crazy things you could do with metamagic.
For the Orin fight, if you kill the cultists that are channeling, the unstoppable stacks go away. Thing is, they're untargetable. The way I did it was I summoned a Djinni who can do thunderwave every turn so I pushed them all off
Smart!
In the house of grief, you can also just dump the special black diamonds that you can find around baldur's gate. The ones that say they power Shar something something
Oooo nice tip my friend thank you!
Given what I know about Gith lore. I'm 100% convinced that you encounter Gith Zerai on the road to baldurs gate and in the artifact. Gith yanki are warriors most often. Meanwhile, the Gith Zerai are more like monks if memory serves. The only reason I could see for them (Zerai) not being playable is because mechanically, they're almost 1:1 the same if memory serves.
That said in act 2 you can find a gith Zerai brain that'll give you a permanent buff if you put it in the device that lets you talk to brains.
Gith lore is a bit weird...most dnd lore is weird.
Edit: That said, the only Gith you encounter are usually Githyanki and outside of being a Githyanki wouldn't know the difference. Although one could argue that it's similar to the difference between Lolthsworn and seldarine drow. Which yes that's actually what it is except wotc made them different races in this case instead of being the same race. In the drow case it was Larian separating Lolth's drow from the drow who usually follow/are redeemed by Ellistraee
Oooo that's some good lore knowledge, thank you my friend
@the_truant from my memory the split originates from the Gith Zerai believing that the original Vlaakith lied about Gith naming her as successor. Meanwhile the Yanki believed Vlaakith.
Edit: I'd like to restate that my memory on gith is fuzzy. In fact drow lore is where I'm more than 100% confident in. For example the drow blade in the underdark requiring blood stems from a ritual that followers of Ellistraee perform upon first forging or obtaining a new blade. They're supposed to draw blood from each limb in a nude dance around it while it's planted in stone. If performed right Ellistraee blesses it and for 3 months it can't rust.
Dimension door + globe of invulnerability scroll will get you to the brain in the last fight without having to fight anything
Nice tip!
Love this series! You are super entertaining both as a streamer and with your editing. Keep up the great work and you are going places for sure man!
i'm so glad i'm not insane and nyrulna got swallowed by the floor for you as well
not to mention the fantastic quality, hard to believe this is your 3rd video on this channel
These videos were an absolute treat, to say the least. Thank you for your dedication to making these three parts really interesting, looking forward to what's to come :)
He do be conquering
Man! what a series! i was waiting on this one and it was more than i hoped for!
Congratulations, trully, wonderfull job!
i can't wait for the next series !
Just watched the first 2 parts last night. Great timing! Love the content so far :)
Just finish the video. And I want to say thank you for your hard work. It's really interesting to see a playthrough without all the quests accomplished.
Love the video and your work. Hope for the next one soon ^^.
Absolutely was right. From the first video you only improved in editing/cutting and narrating. You have a great road ahead of you and your improvement shows clearly. Cant wait for the next classes!
This whole series of videos was insane, but awesome to watch, from the actual play to the commentary. Also enjoyed the moment of letting the song play after being interrupted. Nice little touch. Amazing job overall and I look forward to whatever video you come up with next.
I have found my new content format on UA-cam and I'm here for it - loved every second of the series and thank you so much for making it entertaining!
These are amazing for your first videos man keep up the great work :)
Really amazing series, cant wait for the next one, keep up the good work champ!
bard lone wolf, avoiding all conflict as much as possible
Been waiting for this for days (and would have waited for much longer!) haven't watched it yet but I hope you continue to make content if you're enjoying it!!
Amazing series. Hilarious commentary. I’m down for whatever character you play next.
Really great series! Your commentary is entertaining and really conversational. You sound like you've been at this for years.
Loved these videos, can’t wait for more and hopefully different challenges!
Amazing format and editing. Please keep doing these!
You have no idea how long I was waiting for this video. I have replicated your run with a throw fighter and arrived just at the beginning of act 3. Although I chose to play as dark urge for the roleplay.
I changed to champion as soon as I got the legendary trident tho.
We do love the Yurgir Boogie
Nothing quite like it, his moves are so groovy they defy physics
So glad to see you keep doing this series! I subscribed awhile ago, and was hoping you'd finish it. I can't watch to watch this video and future content! :)
Terrific series of videos. Can’t wait for more!
YUUUUS THE NEXT VIDEO IN THE SERIES LETS GO!
i loved your first two videos I love your style!
the grind is real i see keep up the good work with these videos please and thank you.
I’ve been loving this series so much cause I’ve also been following a guy called professor boondoggles doing the same challenge, I don’t want to pick favorites but these fully edited videos have been amazing
No need to choose a favourite when you like both!
I've been waiting for this, hell yeah! Thanks man
Great series would love to see more, started your channel epicly !
27:18 The intended way of winning against Orin is to kill her followers with the Sanctuary on them with AOE effects.
You can simply use arrows of Roaring Thunder to push them out of the arena, and then Orin won't receive her buff anymore
This was very interesting and impressive, can’t wait for more! 😁
My patron in the circus was clutch in warning me about the clown and the wheel.
Also Raphael can’t help but take the spotlight
This series was a lot of fun to watch and i cant wait for more content
Quite an entertaining series to see how creative one must be to complete the game solo. Would enjoy watching more solo class runs just to see how each one overcomes the same challenges.
I'll be totally real. I've never actually fought Raphael the intended way. Every time I got into that fight I immediately Hold Monster on him and beat him down with crits, hasn't failed me yet.
Also, tip, if you put a globe of invulnerability down in the last dps check against the brain you're just immune to it's retribution. Makes the fight so much easier, if you intend to do another solo run someday.
That globe of invulnerability tip is huge, thank you so much!
we love you truant! im almost done with act 3 in my first playthrough then I'll watch this video and go "damn i shoulda done that"
House of Hope fight is the best fight in the game, the music during that fight is so epic!
"Can You Beat BG3 Lonewolf Tactician With Only 1 Level In Every Class?" I think it would be fun to see a playthrough built around the contrates set up by the "best the game with one level of every class without using withers" achievement
If Hope had survived, the Raphael fight would have been a lot easier. She has an ability to straight up delete a cambion every turn. And she's also a cleric with access to divine intervention
Yeah if I had doubted SoFt's abilities a bit more I probably would have gone back to try and save hope but I believed in her!
Just finished my first playthrough today. The final fight had me struggling with a full party, looking forward to see how you conquered it.
Sick video! Just turned on alerts so I know when you post next :)
Wow thanks so much for the support, internet stranger, how very cool of you!
Yeah, that's about what happened in act 3 for me. As soon as I hit level 11, the large spike in DPS made everything easier. In my case, this was a lot more extreme, since I was abusing the darkfire bow for haste and my 1st stop was house of hope, to respec and get 23str/23con. Was not using Haste part of your self-imposed rules, just like no consumables was part of mine?
You can also really see how insanely durable your build could have become, had you opted to allow respecs and then used the gloves/amulet from house of hope, letting you have 178hp and minmax your dex/wisdom saving throws. I also found that stacking AC was by far the best option, even if that meant not using armor of persistence or those legendary boots. Past 25AC, every point starts to exponentially increase your tankiness. Examples of all of this are my uploaded Raphael fight, and also the hardmode Gortash fight versus a zillion watchers (where I hardly get hit and walk away with only a scratch).
Just binge watched your entire Lone Fighter series and gotta say you're very entertaining!
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed them!
Such great content. Keep it up man!
I rushed on to this video like there was no tomorrow, awesome content man!
Finally beat the game today so I can finally finish this video! A spell caster would be awesome next if you are up for suggestions!
One step ahead of you, there's a poll up on my channel right now voting for which spellcaster I should play!
For the Cazador fight in future playthroughs. Just find a source of sunlight spell, cast it on Cazador, and then merc him down. You dont need to bother with any other enemies.
Hopefully saves you some time for a future run 😊
Oh crap, I literally just finished the act 2 video like 3 hours ago, I just got out of work and this video comes up, best way to end the day tbh
Lone wolf multiclass of your choice or lone wolf paladin, but your not allowed to break your oath!!!!!
oh yes i was expecting this upload for a while now! i wanna see more. such a fun idea. it is really difficult though...
the best way to deal with casidor is to sneak up on him use a ball of sunlight and if you get caught nail the fucker with guided bolts and other radiance attacks...
and if all else fails steal from the gods repeatedly lift the curse and butcher poor poor angels for their OP as fuck mauls (you have to long rest for their ropses to be replaced by a bag iwth the maul and you have to like drop smoke or something and grab it... (dont forget to grab the ring that makes you immune to blindness from the morgue in act 2 that thing is so op! and makes theivery stupidly easy!... not to mention you can straight up just mist up an place and murder someone and hide their body without people really notising.... at least observer eyes can be dealt with like that.
I think demons may see throught it and it wont work on the house of grief people they have their own darkness spell that does nectrotic damage and there your the one that cant do shit in the smoke and darkness...
The house of hope was amazing, that final song. Damn.
Idk how to explain this but you sound like if Astarion tried to speak with an American accent and I like that.
I love that so much, I was born and raised in Vancouver but I apparently never learned to talk right cause even in Canada people ask me where I'm from haha
This is fantastic. Thank you so much for these videos, they are as informative as they are fun.
Update on my own solo Tact playthrough (Barb 5/Fighter 3/Rogue 4): In act 3 at level 12, neither Orin nor Gortash dead yet. Exploring the sewers to open up the route to Orin because I might have screwed myself on Sarevok. Unwisely, I talked to him and agreed to accompany him to the sacrifice chamber to fight him in there. That's a TERRIBLE place to fight him compared to the courtroom because there's no ladder to play king of the hill with and there's a LOT more adds in addition to his fellow justices (court stenographers? clerks?). My build is built for melee (Tiger Wildheart cleave spam) but I don't have the AC (Barb clothes, only 17-18) or quite enough damage to just go all-in on him or his adds with Bloodlust before he unleashes his level 3 super on me. Might end up respeccing for him.
I could probably just go ahead and finish the game without ever beating Sarevok (or Ansur)...but I REALLY want his hat. It's a VERY cool hat.
Going to be honest gortash and vampiboy where so troublesome, so i stealth up like 15 smoke powder bomb to them each and just cheeses the fights.
As for what kind of build I'd like to see you play next...I wanna say either a melee-based build or some kind of (non-summon-based) spellcaster (Wizard or Warlock). Caster in particular is interesting for solo Tactician because they tend to be MUCH uglier ducklings than martial classes at low level. Your early damage output is heavily tied to spell slots, so you need to either take tons of naps (not that bad; even on Tactician there's usually plenty of free food to be had for a 3-fights-then-nap schedule) or supplement with martial damage (which can be difficult even with DEX weapons). But at the same time, you get a lot of flexibility with spells to skip lots of stuff early on (and if you rolled a CHA-based caster, you could just lie/flatter/bluff many of your enemies away).
There's Eldritch Blast from a Warlock dip, of course, but while EB is a meme late-game, early game it's...not that great, lol. 65% chance to hit in a fully lit room makes me so sad.
You’ve been my baulders gate 3 content creator keep up the good work.
you should make soft as the guardian of whoever you play in your next series :) i think it'd be a fun nod to this one
Have not beaten act III myself yet so I gotta wait with this video but I am looking forward to it.
I have been waiting with anticipation for part 3, so keen to watch, better than star wars part 3
Very nice playthrough.
I never saw how interesting the boss fights could be because I usually just burst down everybody before they even take a turn lol...When you go into drawn out fights like this with them, the gimmicks are actually pretty interesting! (Though I can see how it can be annoying while you were attempting this run lmao)
Honestly I really liked most of the gimmicks, it made it feel like a puzzle I needed to solve in order to win, which Ive never felt when I have a full party since I can usually just brute force it haha
@@the_truant Exactly, the game seems way too easy for DnD veterans, especially with a full party lol...I feel like there should two more higher up difficulties.
Another fantastic video
Great job!
Yeah idk how the Orin fight works. I just used magic missile cast at a higher level to break through most of the stacks in one go every round.
You have to kill the cultists surrounding you while you fight. As long as one is alive and channeling, Orin will get the stacks of unstoppable.
It's really annoying to do though because they all have sanctuary on them
Once I beat Act 3 myself, this is the first video I'm coming back to.
Thank YOU for the video! =)
Great video 😎
Great vid!
It might've been worth getting hope just for her to blow herself up with divine intervention while dealing massive damage to most enemies
I like how I also just pushed her off it's so much easier.
I’ve been waiting for this one
ive been waiting for this one
After having experimented with pure Fighter builds because of that additional Extra Attack, even before seeing this, I'll confidently say yes.
There are some truly busted multiclass builds out there, but pure Fighter is just as ridiculous, if done right.
awesome video, I may try a solo tactician run as well
Absolutly amazing really loved this series, will you do a dark urge run in future to get a different perspective on the game?
I might but I'm more interested in doing these runs without origin characters!
what a great series
Man go monk please, i love this class but i don't see it much PLEASE oh btw its was amazing keep going
Even from your first video, your video and editing quality has been fantastic! What tools did you use? I'm thinking about learning how to edit myself
I use DaVinci resolve to edit and OBS to record, both fantastic free tools! Would highly recommend them
@@the_truant Thank you so much! Looking forward to the next solo run!
magic missile the unstoppable stacks
I had that exact same bug on Gortash on my throw build. Thankfully I wasn't soloing so I just stopped throwing and relied on my companions to kill everyone lol
The key to taking out the Unstoppable stacks is to get as many instances of damage as possible, regardless of how much damage each instance would have dealt. Easiest way I found to do this was with Magic Missile!
I ran Gale as a pure MM-spam Wizard, and not only was he easily my best damage dealer for all of Act 3, he also completely trivializes lots of mechanics like this. A level 6 MM shoots 8 projectiles (9 with the Psychic Spark necklace), all 100% guaranteed to hit and remove a stack.
There's tons of builds out there on how crazy the damage numbers get with MM-spam builds, but my favorite thing is its synergy with the Cull The Weak illithid power. If you put the maximum number of tadpoles possible into that character, you automatically kill anything that you drop below 26 HP. This makes MM one of the best "AOE" spells in the game as well, because you can target multiple enemies with however many missiles are needed to drop them below 26 HP.
Example: let's say each missile does 5 damage. On paper, that would mean you can only do 45 damage total, right? Well, if there are 9 enemies with 30 health each, you could target each of them with 1 missile each, dropping them all to 25 health and thus instantly killing all of them, effectively dealing 270 damage. It's absolutely busted and you have to try it sometime, so much fun!!
Hey man, absolutly great videos and im loving the content. You have actually inspired me to record some of my own stuff. Im assuming you recorded your narrative voice after stitching all the video content together and added it after the fact. I was wondering what software you used for that?
That's awesome I'm so glad to hear it, I can't wait to see how it turns out! I use DaVinci Resolve to edit my footage and record the narration, it's free and really good! Let me know if you have any other questions
HELL YEA PART 3
Good to have you back!
Have not met chatter teeth yet but i met his two brothers when fighting balthazar
To deal with the unstoppable I just haste chain lightninged the crap out of the cultists
I have to say, as good as that spear is. The simple ring that prevents blindness seems far more broken.
Just done anchev fight for the first time the other day. Open Hand monk, with an item that allows me to paralyse occasionally on a crit. First turn, he gets paralysed. And couldnt get out of it in turn 2. I imagine this fight was intended to be hard...
This kept happening to me in the self same trial, Lae’zels copy would weapon drop her and the sword would fukn disappear into the ether, just gone… I eventually had to unequip it before we activated the trial like it just kept happening and I like that sword….
